Weekly Symptoms - week of 4.15

Re: Weekly Symptoms - week of 4.15

  • @sterjacks21 if you don't feel nauseous, don't worry too much!! Some women don't have any nausea. With my first I was 7.5 weeks before I knew I was pregnant, and my telling symptom was just how sensitive my nipples were. I only had a couple days of mild nausea, mostly when I did sit-ups while working out lol. Basically, not having extreme symptoms doesn't need to be immediate cause for concern :)

  • Well my son ended up passing along his cold to me so now I cant stop sneezing and am so congested. Its great. Also nausea turned into throwing up last night and I must say, I feel so much better now that I don't have that gross feeling in my stomach. For now at least.
  • @texas_t I'm with you on that! They almost burn and hurt to lay on.

Between 4 and 5 weeks (5 according to my period tracker app which knows my cycles, 4 according to LMP). Mostly breast tenderness right now, peeing allllll the time already, and my usual breakfast omelet is tasting weird today. A bit of tiredness but it’s not too bad.

  • I cannot stop gagging and dry-heaving. It only goes away when I'm eating (carbs in particular) and I'm trying not to gain 302 lbs. over the course of this pregnancy but I'm killing like a box of saltines a DAY.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • I'm trying so hard to keep eating, but the idea of food makes me gag. Not eating makes my stomach hurt. Eating makes me want to vomit. I don't think I've ever felt this bad during the first tri :(

  • @runrinserepeat I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. :(

As for me, still not as bad as with DD pregnancy yet, but getting there. Today is my worst day so far - waited too long to eat breakfast and got SO nauseous. While waiting for toast to finish in the toaster I was literally just doubled over on my counter, nauseous and burping. Gross. Felt somewhat better after eating but holy cow the fatigue! No idea how I'm going to get through a 10 hour work day. I have never been so tired with any pregnancy.
  • I actually have been pretty good ever since my BFP. Maybe on some days, I feel bloated. I go to the bathroom like crazy though. But I noticed a little bit of blood last night and this morning. Praying that all well with my little blueberry. So anxious for my 1st appt.
  • You know what’s the worst? Taking my prenatels, they’re huge and I have to take three. It takes me a good half hour every day to get them down.

  • Today is the first day I'm feeling pretty crappy. It could be that I haven't eaten enough, but I feel crappy enough that I'm contemplating leaving work. I realize this is just the first of a long string of cappy-feeling days, and I can't go home every time I feel sick. How are others dealing with working through the morning sickness?
  • Just took a shortcut through the ladies room on my way to check in with somebody on the other side of the office.  Looked in the mirror, and holy hell my cheeks are flushed! Again. I'm not typically a blusher, but this seems to be happening now on a daily basis, so I'm calling it a symptom.

I hope this means I'm gonna get an honest to goodness pregnancy glow this time instead of just looking like hot garbage for the next 33 weeks!
  • @AGK2015 I have never gotten the glow - I hope you get it! I want it so bad! I just usually look hungover for the first trimester, then bloated and miserable for the rest. I used to swear it was a myth but then a couple of my friends were so glowy and beautiful when pregnant and now I'm just jealous, lol.
  • @maureenmce I know, right? I have beautiful pregnant friends. Those bitches are lovely and I hate them.
  • I’ve had some sharp pain today coming from high in my abdomen all the way down into my lower abdomen. I feel like it’s probably gas pain(TMI but I’ve been frequenting the restroom and not to pee). I’m waiting to hear back after I called my OB earlier, just to check that it’s normal (I’m sure it probably is) because it’s been sharp and steady since 8am this morning. Has anyone else experienced this?
  • k_m10k_m10 member
I’m between 4-5 weeks. Period is 3 days late and had a BFP this morning.
I’m not feeling nauseated yet, just not very hungry. Having some change in how things taste and I’m really gassy which is super fun, lol.
I’m a bit worried (unnecessarily I’m sure) because I read something that said most people don’t know they’re pregnant this early. But I’m 3 days late so to me that’s not early! I only have a 27 day cycle, I’m just worried it’s mis-dating me.

    Congrats to you too!
Man, I just know this is going to be a looooong 9 months if I’m already this anxious.  :p

  • @katem987 Haha I feel the same way. I know I've said to friends in the past "wow, that time went fast," referencing their pregnancy....not considering the 12 torturous weeks that she didn't tell anyone!  Now I feel like a jerk for those comments!
  • My pregnancy symptoms seem to wax and wane and it freaks me out a ton. I keep thinking that the symptoms should be just getting progressively worse. I had nipple pain for awhile, but now they are experiencing more of a dull ache. I had a lot of nausea for about a day and a half and now it's pretty light nausea. What the heck!

@binxybaby My symptoms come and go too.  It seems like lots of people experience this and things are still fine, but it's still hard to go through it without being anxious.

Same here,  @binxybaby!  I've felt absolutely awful the last week or two.  But today I've felt (physically) great!  Im trying not to look too much into it. Everyone is different ;)

  • Welcoming week 7 with my first time being sick.  I had it so easy my first pregnancy that I think this is karma, haha.  So much for that.

Has anyone felt pinprick like sensations in their uterus? Not cramps, just tiny pricking feelings. Is that normal?
Insomnia and a bit of nausea has also set in.

  • I seemed to have developed two new symptoms lately. DH says that he detects a glow -I think he’s biased- but I just started getting heartburn.

I’m sure the heartburn has *nothing* to do with two-days worth of fast food, plus post-funeral sweets & comfort foods. But hey, a glow! Last time I just got zits

Research spearmint tea! I’ve been drinking two cups each day (or near enough) for a few months and my face has really cleared up

  • @echo-charlietango I actually have some because I bought it super early on for bloat! I'll have to make it a regular thing, now, if I can stomach it at this stage.  Last pregnancy my face was sooooo clear.  I remember it specifically later in pregnancy, so maybe things will get better. Thank you for the advice!

  • Wait, I remember @Gwyneddlesliegrace mentioned avoiding peppermint during pregnancy. What's the word on spearmint?

From what I understand, excessive spearmint can cause damage to the uterus, that’s associated with the tea.

Generally, I stay away from “mints” during pregnancy and breast feeding.

It's going to be so so so hard for me this summer to give up iced tea with a big sprig of mint :(

Oh shoot I have been drinking peppermint tea by the gallon.  americanpregnancy.org says it's likely safe so I'm hoping I haven't messed up.  There are too many pregnancy rules!

  • My boobs hurt, I have nausea a couple of times a day, and at the end of each work day I am so exhausted that it feels like I'm starting to get the flu but I feel better the next morning.
  • k_m10k_m10 member
I woke up at 3:30 AM today and couldn’t go back to sleep. DH didn’t really believe it’s pregnancy related since we just found out yesterday.
Just got nauseous in the middle of eating my yogurt. Man, this is so fun.
