  • @ndz2018, I am so sorry hon. But know that you are.doing  something for the one that brought you into this world and being there for her when she needs you just like she's there for you when you need her...your little one will appreciate you more for it! And they will be there when you come back, more focused on them and more relaxed.

@alcnyc, thank you, I hope you guys are right and it would be the perfect belated gift!

You guys are funny with all your pre-op and post op checklists....but whatever works...at least it will make you laugh.
  • @artemis618 Congrats on transfer day!!! So exciting!

@artemis618 happy transfer day!  Such a beautiful LO :)

@ndz2018. So sorry for your loss!

You guys are funny with your superstitions and such!  I’ve never heard of some of these, but hey I’ll go for some McDonalds fries after my transfer. A friend of mine gave me a pineapple bracelet and I wore it for my IUIs. I made break it out for my transfer too. Ultrasound and blood work tomorrow morning for me
  • @ndz2018 Safe travels tomorrow! So you're saying if we talk to you tomorrow...it maybe the wine talking?? lol

@J1006 FX tomorrow is a good ultrasound day! McDonald's fries were worth it. I think I put myself into a fry-coma lol

@kristimh80 EXACTLY!  I’ve been going to this same place at the airport for about 10 years maybe more! They have always had this Brie sandwich with fig preserve that is AMAZING!

@tinjp78 Thank you so, so much! That’s so sweet of you :)

I still have to pack yet here I am on TB BSing.  im the worst packer... I’m sure Half my closest will be in my suitcase because you know I’ll totally need that shirt from anthropology I havent worn in 3 years.  :D

  • @artemis618 omg!!!! Baby’s first pic!!!! Beautiful!!! PASP!
@ndz2018 weather and wine will help you get through everything....
  • Ok so yesterday I started the PIO.  I was so focused on having to do this shot specifically at noon when my hubby is not home to give it to me that I was kinda freaking out in my head!  So I missed that the nurse said to do the endometrin insert at noon also.  I took the endometrin yesterday at 7, 3, 11 just like before with the fresh transfer.  Just decided to take a look at the card she wrote out to go over directions for day of transfer and figured out I messed up the timing to start the endometrin.  Now I’m worried I just messed everything up with missing that direction.  Ugh.  Hope it’s not a huge deal.
  • J1006J1006 member
@dragonette505. I’m so glad you said that. My husband things I’m weird that I would keep that picture and possibly put it in her/his baby book. I find the whole thing very cool. How many people can say they saw a picture of themselves with only hundreds of cells?

ultrasound went well today. Lining is looking good. I just have to wait for the call with my hormone levels.
  • @laurengon82 I'm sure you're fine girl! I have an alarm set on my phone for all my medicine doses. Even then, I've been caught up with work and took them late. For me, PIO is easiest to take 1st thing in the morning with my Estrace. Figure I won't miss it that way, then don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.

@j1006 That's great to hear! Are you still scheduled for the 19th?

@kristimh80 @tosh24 @dragonette505 @shae44 thanks for the reassurance!  I’m a natural worrier, and the thought of messing it up when there is so much money being put into this process stresses me out.
  • J1006J1006 member
@kristimh80. Transfer is still on for the 19th. My estrogen went up to 414 from 22 last week. My actual doctor, not her nursing staff, does the ultrasound next week since it’s the last one before transfer. They said there’s a possibility of it getting moved but not usual.  I just stick to my plan.

I have to do do my first IM shot on my own tomorrow morning. Little bit nervous. I did my own trigger but those meds go in quick. This one is going to take awhile and it’s the first time I’m getting my full dose :/
  • J1006  I expect I'll be going between the 17th and 19th (my doc says based on my lining 10-12 days of estrogen so its flexible within that range). We will be on the same week!
laurengon82  I know what you mean! I feel like every other cycle I forget something or do something off. I almost entirely forgot to take my Lupron today! Its so easy to get muddled (even with alarms and reminders because other stuff pops up to distract me!)

@J1006 You got this! Try warming up the oil first. I always load my syringe, etc and before I inject it, I'll stick it in the heading pad really quick. Then I heat the area I'm going to inject and it goes in pretty fast :)  Also, I find if I slowly inject the needle into the spot, it doesn't really hurt. I hear so many say to jab it in there...no thanks, least not for me!

@tosh24 lurking here. With my RE they have medrol as part of everyone's FET protocol but I declined. Anything with a steroid makes me feel insane and I can't sleep and have terrible anxiety. Last time I took prednisone I gained 10 pounds of bloat within 2 weeks and it took months to go away. It also gives me tremors. I hate steroids and just can't do it. I believe that is to fight your body's urge to naturally fight off the embryo as something foreign but there isn't much evidence to prove it from my research so I wasn't willing to be insane & miserable for a week. They also give antibiotic because anytime you have a catheter put in your uterus you are prone to infection from bacteria and so it wouldn't compromise your early pregnancy if it happened. I took that as antibiotics don't bother my system at all.

I was offered Valium because I am a huge sensitive pain in their ass and they knew it would shut me up :) They hardly ever offer it to people. Pap smears can hurt me and make me spot, anything with forceps is painful for me, and even with Valium the transfer was quite painful during and hurt for two days after. My vajay is just so delicate mwah ha. If you can't get it, try ibuprofen and tylenol at the same time.

@dragonette505  Awesome the 17(18,or19) will be here Before you know it! I’ll be right behind you  ;)

@J1006  YOU GOT THIS!! Worst case scenario, I know My clinic has nurses That’ll come to your house to do it for you, what that cost I didnt Ask or maybe you can go to you clinic? I have no doubt you’ll be fine doing it yourself!

@greenhillgirl Ugh I feel you on the weight gain from the prednisone!! Thankfully my asthmas been in check majority of my 30s so haven’t had to be on it in quite some time BUT man was it brutal! I’d always tell them to give me something to sleep with it!

  • @kristimh80 I’ll be return back on Thur on the red eye, which I kinda like Bc I plan on eating one of my moms sedatives and passing out the whole flight  :D
  • @ndz2018 ugh! I’m always like that with jet lag!! Keeping you all in my thoughts right now (I’ve been hoping all is as well as can be!)

@kristimh80  I will be surprised if I wait till 5dp5dt for starting testing! Lol I always test early. And yes I’ll get bummed if I don’t have a difinitive pos on 6dp5dt, but for me it’s all info. I figure testing or not testing won’t change results.... just gives me data. For ppl who find testing more stressful than NOT testing, probably day before or morning of beta is a good option. Ps... I ordered 4 different types of hpt to test with about 3 weeks ago lololol
bit of a poas addict here

  • Pps girls.... I’m soooo tired! Ugh.... don’t know if it’s the lupron, higher dose of estrogen, or antibiotics....
spent the weekend so far making bone broth, veggie soup and healthy snacks so it’s easier throughout the week
look how yummy this chickpea free zucchini hummus turned out!
