Thanks for all the support ladies. I will probably be useless around here and not able to focus on catching up on what's going on with everyone else today... ever since yesterday I found out they were starting "comfort care" I just can't focus on work, and every hug from one of my kids makes me have to hold back the tears. I probably shouldn't be here today. Once I am less of a mess I will catch up on everyone else's stuff but for now, thank you for understanding and your sympathy.

@ecwk nice! I’m thinking of ordering two more... the black also comes in white online and if it works (white can be weird) I think it would be a nice option for nb pics. Trying to decide on a second to go with it for the sale though!
@ssthomps I have a management company because we live 1400 miles away. The logistics of property management didn't work for us with that kind of distance. The property managers are great. They take 10% of rent collected, and do everything. They find renters, collect rent, deal with contractors (at a reduced rate because they have contracts), and if we ever need to go to court for payment they file and deal with all of the paperwork. I'm really happy with how it's gone. We chose to pay a guy for yard maintenance and tack it onto the rent after the last tenant didn't keep up on it, and that's worked out well so far.

@ssthomps we pay 10% too and they pretty much do everything @derbysquirrel one does. We still make a profit but do hope to probably sell in a few years when it makes sense. We unfortunately bought in 2008 when prices were high and since then well they’re not and also we had some neighbors sell for way less and a couple unfortunately passed away but their homes were paid off so their family sold for dirt cheap.
We we are lucky enough to live in a highly populated area really convenient to military and 2 major cities so there’s always a big rental market.

Lol! My kids will be in easter colors, pastels and dh too so I had been thinking white anyhow, like white jeans with a kimono top. Black or even navy or dark pink would stand out too much I think, and I look hideous in pale colors other than white
I have a pretty close guy friend who is gay. Him and his partner found a surrogate and their baby is coming home this week! He posted a picture on FB today of all of the luggage they're taking to go pick her up in a different state and so many people have commented that they have too much luggage and saying stuff like "just wait to see how hard it is to travel with so much stuff and a baby!" It's making me so ragey for him! Like let them have their moment, he's obviously so excited and of course he knows they went overboard but just let them live. It just reminded me of the "just wait" convo yesterday with @legallykate and it's making me angry all over again. Us STM+s don't know all of the things, hell I hardly know anything! So annoying.

DH got a full on bitch switch flip the other night. I forget what started it but it was something about DS that I thought wasn't safe or something and he starts laughing and goes 'you first time moms worry about every little thing.' Excuse the eff outta me, but if I think something is unsafe for my kid it has absofucking zero to do with if I'm a first time, third time to tenth time mom, it's going to concern me.
This coming from a man that has one whole kid in addition to the one we have together. It's not like he raised 13 Ivy League grads before we got together.
I just bitched out DH to the point he hung up on me. He had a chiro appt after work, and something broke down just as he was leaving. Instead of asking his coworker to handle it so he could keep the appt, he stayed and cancelled the appt. When I asked him why he didn’t ask his coworker to fix the breakdown, he said it would’ve made him the “bad guy.” I’m, no, it wouldn’t have, and if the rest of the shop thinks that, let them. I told him he can’t not tell anyone he has somewhere to be and then bitch to me about after work.

@calimom2524 That reminds me of something that popped up on my "on this day" on fb the other day - a year or two ago I was in an airport and waiting in line with a guy wearing a newborn in a wrap. I was of course gushing over the baby and he told me that the baby was like 14 days old. Then I see him across the seating area from me, with his husband, who is also wearing a newborn baby in a wrap! They had adopted twins and it was the cutest effing things I have ever seen. Both sets of their parents were with them helping them with bags and such and my heart melts thinking about it even now!

^^ I’m going to have to try that. I’m convinced that DS’s teachers paint his stuff for him at school because he won’t do any of that stuff at home. I try all the time and I end up finger painting or whatever while he gets down and does something else.
Oh yeah, we used to give the boys cardboard boxes with crayons and/or markers and they'd go to town for hours. Or like a long roll of brown packing paper from home depot, unroll like 10 feet and let them go nuts.

@pghctwife and @brzvice I wear two different socks intentionally more than I’d like to admit because that’s all I can find. I also wear my husbands socks sometimes. I seriously cannot figure out where all my socks go.
I just fell going down my stairs with my dog. I landed on my butt, I'm not bleeding and aside from my butt, nothing hurts. I called the on call doctor and he said not to worry but to call and come in for a sonogram for peace of mind.
I'm waiting for an uber to go into work and then I'll call the office and see when they can squeeze me in.

Waiting to board my flight home from vacation. Had a pretty great trip overall. Ate a lot of fantastic food and walked a TON. I'm not a big city person, so definitely ready to head home. Being here for work was a good reason to visit a place we probably never would have otherwise, and it was really nice to get away.
Got sick in the airport bathroom right after getting to the airport this morning. Hadn't had any significant morning sickness in about a month, so that was surprising. I'm not usually up and moving at 3am though so I'm chalking it up to that.
We got a call mid-trip that our friend who was in hospice care (that I've mentioned on here before) passed away. Wasn't a surprise but still put a little bit of a damper on things. We will be back in time for the funeral so that was nice at least.
Im trying to catch up on everything that went on here since I've been MIA. Sounds like a lot of people have had their anatomy scan this last week! So excited for you all!

One of the other moms on our BMB has been at the hospital with her, was there the day she passed, she was the one who updated us, I am sure with the permission of her family. She has been there for her and our community has raised money for her and such throughout her 9 month battle.
@doctormom33 I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I was wondering how he was doing. I know it doesn't make it any easier knowing it was coming but, I am glad you and your H were able to see him a few weeks ago. Thoughts, Prayers, and Good Vibes sent you way.
