@livinthesunnylife it’s so true. Now I just phone it in at work and just stress about other things. I actually wonder if I’ll ever be a fantastic teacher again because I don’t know if I have the drive anymore
DH got to feel his first baby kicks last night! He’s been bummed that I could feel them and he couldn’t, so he was so excited to feel it last night. Left over cake makes baby girl happy, working on a sweet tooth already
Pretty sure I had my first Braxton Hicks this morning. I rolled over to shut off my CPAP machine and my stomach area felt "odd" when I moved. When I rolled back onto my back and palpated where my uterus was and it felt like someone had inflated a ball in there. It lasted about 45 seconds and then slowly went back to normal, and no pain or sensation otherwise. Cool I guess?
Count me in on hating it when people say just wait until... I always feel like they're just trying to one up you which is stupid.
I had my anatomy scan yesterday. We're doing a sex/gender reveal and I wanted to wait until the party this weekend to find out, but my husband said he couldn't wait so he actually found out at the appointment. (He did ask me if that was ok first)
Omg the wait is so freaking hard, which is crazy because I'll know on Saturday. At least he's not teasing anymore. He did that jokingly twice, but I think it finally sank in that I couldn't handle it.
@legallykate I'm glad to see you back. I missed you the last few days. I'm sorry work is stressing you out so badly atm, but I'm happy to see you and your bump pic today. You're doing great.

Hahaha I always tell my coworker to "wait until" because she loves to brag on her "perfect" kid who can do no wrong. He's 13 months. Of course he's perfect. He can't even run yet.
I don't tell people "wait until" just for the hell of it, though. That's rude and unhelpful.
All those “wait till” comments make me so angry, it’s just so unhelpful!!
we actually got a crap ton of snow today but I still went to work for a few hours until we closed at 12. That drive home was super scary and I am so happy to be home!! I probably should have just stayed how but I’m trying to save my PTO for my 4 month leave.
@legallykate It sucks that we can’t come home and have a glass of wine, or something stronger.
I taught 5th grade today. I don’t know why I keep taking days to teach 5th grade. They always end with a massive headache. I wrote up two kids for atrocious behavior, a girl possibly broke her finger when she slammed it in her locker, and another kid ended up bawling his eyes out over literally nothing. Today would normally be a 2-3 glasses of wine evening, but yeah, not happening.
I'm back from 3 hours of meetings and those "Just wait" type comments are still in my mind. I laugh at the idea that anyone said those things to me pre-kids. I'm constantly astounded at the sheer awesomeness of my Momskillz on a daily basis. Just wait until what? Until everyone here is rocking this Mom thing? Yep, we got this. "Just wait" until we make you eat your words with our little balls of perfection
Finally finished my registry! I can't decide if I asked for too much or too little. I've spent my day on the couch doing that and hanging out with my pets and my husband. It's still snowing, so I wonder if we'll have school tomorrow.

Hey ladies just checking in. I took a Bump break due to everything I have going on right now, but we are back. We are moving forward with out purchase. Currently waiting for the appraisal to come back and just had our inspection on Saturday. No major issues with the inspection just a few minor things we are going to go back the seller with. We are nw working to get our house in order and are still in limbo regarding if we are going to sell or rent. If you have rented a house let me know how it was. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Hi ladies. I agree those people with the “just wait” comments can STFU. Let’s brainstorm some good ways to shut that shit down.
@legallykate I remember being super stressed when I was pregnant the first time, too. It’s all so new, on top of the stressors you already have going on. I hope you find a good way to treat yourself; I like the milkshake idea.
Something is wrong with our toilet so I get to call a plumber tomorrow. Goody. On the plus side, I’m getting my hair done tonight so I can relax at the salon for a couple hours.
Just checking in...we had the girls at disney all last week and then we got home and ALL OF US got strep throat, so it has been a rough few days. Thank the gods for amoxicillin. I'm trying to catch up. it is hard.
@elsieisamoocow I still can't figure out what your Siggy Challenge pic is actually meant to be. I know what it looks like, but what is it supposed to represent? Bread? With wings? A moustache? Maybe it's a case of "cannot be unseen"
Hahaha well that's a fail, right? I really don't know. A chef made out of food? Maybe? Or a penis.

@ssthomps I have a house that I'm renting out through a management company. It's been great for us so far. One thing to consider, however, is the housing market. It is a sellers market right now, and you may get more out of your house if you don't wait. Some are predicting that the housing market will swing back by the summer, so that's something to consider. With the medical expenses we've had and a baby on the way it would have been nice to free up our equity that's tied up in our house, but it's also nice to have the rental as a diversified asset. We bought at the low point after the recession, so we're in good shape even if the market swings, but it's still hard to have those assets tied up.

Like @jsnakehole I spent all day on my couch. I caught up on America’s Next Top Model and I napped. I didn’t shower or get out of my pajamas until 4. It was amazing.

This is exactly what we are thinking. Keep the asssrts tied up or have them readily available. My husband suggested a management company as well but I figured we could do it ourselves. What are the benifits to having the management company?
@ssthomps we rent out our townhouse that we first bought through a management company. We do it because we didn’t want to deal directly with any issues and so the renters don’t even know we live less than 15 minutes away. Also, if DH is gone for the Army, he didn’t want me to have to worry about anything. It’s been 2 years and we have had no issues really. They do everything. Our old neighbors told us they snuck a tiny dog in so we got the mgt company to get on them lol

Good to know. How much do you pay to have them manage it?
Out for like 48 hours and I will never get caught up. Leaving for Florida tomorrow. Got my hair done again. New stylist. $150. Worst job ever. She waxed my eyebrows. Burned my DAMN SKIN. It’s swollen. My nails look pretty good. Nail tech was like you have nice nail. I said I know. Because baby. Lol.
@dirtanddiamonds I had a similar convo with my manicurist, she was like damn maybe I should start taking prenatal vitamins! The burning could be pregnancy related also, I think our skin sensitivity to wax and stuff like that is different now. Sucks though, I hope it doesn't bother you on your trip, have a blast!

Glad we didn’t burn a school day yesterday... just early dismissal. we got a dusting and not till 10pm. I don’t know why the forecasts in my area have been so off lately.
I went to target after work for easter bunny related errands and tried stuff on... much better luck! I got 2 dresses and 2 tops. I have white jeans coming from loft. I hope they work - I detest the jeans that fit now. This long black one is my fav, I need to see if it has other colors online
@dirtanddiamonds - have a wonderful time! @pghctwife - you look beautiful! Sorry about the bad night with the little one, I hope tonight is better!
I had the BEST talk with my sister last night! I'm usually passed out on the couch by the time she gets off work so we don't get to talk as often as we'd like (she's 2 time zones behind me) but it was so refreshing to talk just to catch up, not for a specific reason
@mrsbubbles-2 amazing what the right clothes do. I put it on and it was like I lost 20 #. Just because there were some so bad they are funny (I was texting my sis in the dressing room) here’s two fails
Lol. No Matter what I prefer, I have to wear more fitted looks pregnant.
Tsrgets sresses are buy one get one 50% and they do have a lot!
@pghctwife - lol! Love the looks on your face! I love the print of the first one! I'm like you, I have to have something fitted or at least somewhat structured. Thanks for the heads up about the Target sale!
I’m 20w today, officially halfway. The ms is back full-force. I ate dinner last night, went to bed at 8pm, and woke up puking at 10:30. Same thing this morning - I drank a little milk to take my ms pull, and I’m gagging. To make it even worse, DH tore apart the downstairs bathroom / laundry room so we can tile this weekend. Now I have to either run upstairs to the main bathroom or out to the backyard whenever I start gagging. Thank goodness I’m not subbing today. I feel like absolute crap.
I am still fighting this cold/allergies/crap whatever it is. I felt like this all first trimester and I was hoping that was the last of it! Ugh.
On another note, my grandma went in first thing this morning for her second surgery. It is from the injuries on her leg/ankle from her car accident last week. She had the first one last week and then this one will take about 6 hours. I'm more worried about her being under for that long, but I have faith the she's in good hands with her doctors. So far there haven't been any complications - she did need a blood transfusion after the last surgery because she lost a lot, but it wasn't an alarming situation. FX all goes smoothly this morning.

I know the floral was so pretty that was why I figured I’d try it even though I knew it would be a sack on me.
Thet had this in 2 colors (the other is hanging behind) - I didn’t get it but it was at least a maybe, and a couple other fitted ones that didn’t work on me.
Eta if fitted is good on you the black and white striped one is very snug but the material is nice and thick, so it kinda smoothed things out. The quality is so much nicer than the gap and on ones I got - and retail was around $25 each before the sale
*TW* A mom friend from my other BMB group passed away last night. She left behind kids the same age as mine. We are all just a horrible mess today and there are so many tears all around. It was illness-related but still, nothing can prepare you. We went through our pregnancies and parenthood together every step of the way and it is so unfair I get to continue on with my children while she will never see hers grow.
