@pghctwife I'm sorry about that frustration! I bought a few things from Old Navy online, and was really disappointed at how thin the shirts are. One is blue and one is orange, but both are see through! Another plaid shirt I bought felt very cheaply made, and I'm afraid to put it in the washer. A lot of people here have raved about Old Navy, but my experience so far has been really disappointing.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
My MS is roaring it's ugly head again and it makes me feel so icky. But I did just see that they are releasing season 3 of the man in the high castle "soon" so I'm glad they aren't leaving us hanging!
@livinthesunnylife ugh that sucks. Is it the same kid biting? We had an issue with DS at school for awhile. He got hit repeatedly by the same kid - once 2x in one day, another 3x in one week... it was over a course of a couple months, but I honestly lost count how many times it happened. We had to have a lot of talks with his teachers about it, so if you need suggestions or advice, let me know!
@jsnakehole yay for a snow day! Im hoping for one tomorrow too. I went to the the store tonight and it was like I was a teenage boy. Frozen pizza, Mac and cheese, and stuff for grilled cheese and French toast. Apparently I’m carbing out for my snow day.
Same, the only thing this baby wants is melted cheese. I actually bought pizza rolls over the weekend because that sounded really tasty. Dipped in ranch. I don't think I've had that in 20 years
@calimom2524 I'm so sorry you guys keep getting knocked down any word on if it's infected yet?
@livinthesunnylife that's incredibly hard I wish I had advice. My kid has only been bitten a couple of times, but those couple of times then turned him into a biter. It was hard to break, I hope you guys find resolution fast!

Yeah im not surprised by the old navy, I have had similar experience before but for the price figured I’d try, some stuff looks cute and my gym capris from there are nice.
I was pretty put off by how bad the gap stuff was though, errors fit, cheap material, etc
I just ordered white jeans and a top from loft... way more $ but hopefully it’ll fit.
@elsieisamoocow I still can't figure out what your Siggy Challenge pic is actually meant to be. I know what it looks like, but what is it supposed to represent? Bread? With wings? A moustache? Maybe it's a case of "cannot be unseen"
@pghctwife@derbysquirrel Yaaaaas! Old navy drives me bonkers. They have cute photos of stuff online, and then I get it and feel like I ordered it off aliexpress and got the knock off version. Cheap, oddly shaped, and plain weird.
ugh. I’m sitting here puffy eyed from crying at work - my coworker, whom I’ve known for like 12 years, is closely related to the girl who was shot yesterday. She was talking about her, her family, the situation, the family members close to it... just so sad
Snow day again tomorrow. My school district now has to make up 2 days.
If this winter hasn’t solidified DHs’ desire to move South, I dont know what will.
We have to make up six. So far.
I don’t even know how many we have. Definitely 6. Maybe more, maybe 6. Probably about to be 7. I swear they all came in March too - feb was so mild!
Yikes! We haven’t been told yet how we are making up the days but I’m assuming they’ll take days from spring break. Luckily we aren’t traveling but I know some teachers are so I don’t know how that will affect them.
I do feel bad for all the parents that aren’t teachers that have had to deal with missing work/scrambling for childcare on snow days. My last company I worked with NEVER closed so I was always screwed.
You guys I am so far behind. Just checking in to say I'm here. Doing fine. I have to reapply for my job this week which is stressful. And I am going to try to catch up sometime soon!!
August '18 March Siggy Challenge - You had ONE JOB
@pghctwife I'm so sorry!! I read she is in hospital, I will pray that she recovers well and quickly. Hugs!
I don’t know her, just her family member... still so sad. I’ve heard my coworker talk about her family a lot in the past too. So sad, puts a face to it kwim

Go home, snow, you’re drunk.
Just an early dismissal!
they add says to the end of the year here. A while back they got rid of feb break so the last day was early in June, gives more leeway. By law we can’t go past July 1. I thought no currently last day is June 19. I just looked, and that’s with 7 snow days. That’s a pretty normal last day around here
And I’m super bummed. I ordered a shitton from old navy and gap a week and a half ago when they had a big sale. It *finally* came (wtf 10 day shipping) and NOTHING remotely flattered. It was all awful. I feel like I have nothing to wear, on easter at this rate I’ll be in gym clothes. and I’m so frustrated that there’s hardly anywhere to actually go try clothes on. My target has a teeny maternity. I hate Kohl’s and our section has 3 things anyhow lastbi looked. The gap and old navy closed their maternity stores. And I can go to dest maternity but it’s either too $ for what I want or crappy fit.
i like loft and usually gap but oI just HAVE to be able to try things on. It’s just so upsetting to try on 10 dresses, pants, and have ZERO remotely look ok
bah humbug.
Ugh, same thing happened to me recently. I ordered from gap and the fit/quality was awful. I wish there were more places to try things on, I don’t get this online only maternity crap. I decided to try pink blush so we’ll see how that goes. It’s definitely a blow to your self esteem to try things on and have them not fit, I’m sorry.

FFWC I definitely didn't read "shitton" correctly. I read it as Shi-ton, with the stress on the "shi" and I had to google what a 'shitton' was, thinking it was some sort of garment for pregnant ladies sold at ON or Gap. Nope, just a shit ton. D'oh!
Thanks everyone. I asked the Director last night if it was the same kid and it's been different kids. She said that unfortunately when they don't know how to express themselves with words yet (his room is 13m-18m) a lot of them either bite or hit. So then I asked if DS has ever bitten or hit anyone, because I would want to know. And she said no he hasn't. I'm hoping he doesn't pick it up from the other kids. So then I asked the teacher in his class the same question and she laughed and said, heck no DS isn't like that. But he does have a heck of an arm so they're having to work with him on when and where it's ok to throw things. We do have a lot of footballs, basketballs and soccer balls around our house and he does love throwing them and then chasing them over and over. Maybe I have a future athlete?
Sorry I have been kind of MIA/erratic. I had a really hard two work days Mon and yesterday which culminated in a big old pregnant sobfest last night. I have been feeling really overwhelmed with work and it is hard not to be able to turn to my usual vices/stress relievers, and it is even more overwhelming to think how I will possibly be able to handle heavy work weeks once LO is here. My mom was (unhelpfully) like "haha, you don't even know what stress is yet!" but I do, seriously I do, and the idea that it could get even worse is a bit too much to handle right now.
Today seems to be better so far (and bonus - they caught our bomber - which is a huge load off).

@legallykate I am sorry you are so stressed! Maybe treat yourself to something. Even something small like a milkshake. I hate when people say things "like you have no idea what stress/pain/whatever is". Not helpful and thanks for invalidating my feels. Hugs to you and I hope yo can find something to help you destress!
@legallykate I hate it when people say things like that to FTMs, it's so degrading. I'm sorry you're so stressed out and I feel you on the fact that I sometimes sit and think that I could handle this day if it ended with a nice glass of wine. But not having that relaxation moment really makes pregnancy suck.
I don't feel like life with my son made things even more stressful, honestly. I feel like it changed my perspective and I just naturally figured out how to juggle things differently. I'm very efficiency and routine obsessed to pack more into a shorter amount of time. My son is not a stressor on my day, he's the best part of my day. Even when he was throwing a temper tantrum this morning not wanting to get into his carseat and making me late- I just laughed. It's a phase, it's not going to last. And he's so darn cute even when he's mad.
Oh @legallykate I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. I hate when people comment stuff like that "just wait" BS. Just because you don't have a baby yet doesn't mean you don't understand what stress feels like and your feelings are totally valid. You can do this, though! You're obviously a bad ass, I mean hello, you went to Harvard. You totally got this. I agree with brezzy, get a milkshake and treat yo' self.
@legallykate - I knew you were in TX, I don't think I realized you were in Austin, that must have been a really scary experience!
So I'm with @Brezzy1928 - I hate comments like that or the 'just you wait' stuff. I'm so sorry you're stressed. Ditto also about getting something, even a small something to treat yourself. And I'm a big supporter of the sob fest, sometimes you just have to get it all out!
Thanks y'all. I think I for sure will treat myself with something today! And to DH's credit, I think he finally "got" how being pregnant on top of my normal life stresses has been hard, he kept asking what he could do to take some stress off (although all I could think of was "trade lives with me!" which is unfortunately not a possibility )

@legallykate Sorry you've had a rough few days! I think @livinthesunnylife said it perfectly above. The stress is just a different stress once the kid(s) are involved. My perspective of things definitely changed, my patience levels definitely increased, I can do most things in half the time I used to and some days I just have to laugh to make it all okay! Treat yourself and I hope today is a better day!
OMG those 'just wait' comments make me want to punch someone. I know my friends are trying to be funny or whatever, but it's just not. It's annoying. I'm trying to figure out a rather diplomatic way to tell them to STFU. I'm afraid I may just explode at them one day..
@legallykate I'm so sorry you had a rough few days. And I thought you were in Houston - good to know the guy got caught!
