Alright just heard I have 6. One may make it tomorrow but this is it. I'm feeling sad for some stupid reason. I feel like I need to cry or have retail therapy. I know I should be happy but honestly not until PGD is done
Guuuurl, 6 is awesome! But I know how it feels to wish more made it..... retail therapy! I'd buy something!
Good! Its supposed to be easier to inject than the olive oil... I mean... its all good and we would both do it if we had to! lol but its good at least to START with the easier one
ndz2018 that's crazy one would take longer. But I'm sure based on the day then sent etc etc. I don't think they send mine off till thursday. If we are only waiting on the one I was hoping they could freeze the one tomorrow and send the samples off.

@mcgeeva , 6 is a good number....retail therapy or ice cream usually help me! @dragonette505 , thanks for sharing your last protocol for natural...so what are they doing this time around... I feel like I am missing something with no meds...I only have 1 embryo to transfer so scared I am not doing enough.
Hey guys do you mind if I join? My FET is at the end of March (on the 29th) and by the time I get to my TWW the March thread will be empty. This will be my forth transfer and my last embie ( see details in my sigi). My RE talked me into trying Lovenox this cycle so I started daily injections a couple of days ago. We are doing medicated FET with estrase and PIO. I don't know how I feel about this transfer after 3 failed ones so just going with the flow for now. My Moto is "just do it and don't think too much!" Wishing everyone luck and a bunch of sticky thoughts

@mcgeeva 6 is a great #! Don't feel sad about it, I only sent 6 to testing as well. A gf of mine only sent 3 and still had 2 come back normal. Best to try not to stress too much, but I get it. Going into Day 5 - 6 I had 19 that looked good / fair and 6 poor. In my head I was thinking I'd get double the amount to send to testing. Good thing is after testing, you'll know you have the best of the best for transfers
@DecemberDoll27 Welcome to the party!! You sound like me, my ER was at the end of Jan so I toggled Jan / Feb, then March / April FET since my body can't act right lol FX this is your month!! I just picked up my estrace tonight, so any tips are much appreciated for this process

kristimh80 I know your right. They always said only 40 to 50% make it to the end so I knew that. Well either way I decided to take three days off the last week of march and pray we get the results during that time so I can relax, mentally check out and get over it if it's not good.

@mcgeeva That's a great idea!! I remember being at work and shaking on the phone when the embryologist called. I was still a little bummed knowing 4 didn't make it, but same time was super happy to have healthy one's. Take it easy on yourself, this process can be such a bundle of emotions.

@mcgeeva 6 is a great result! (I just commented in the other thread Feb saying 2 was good - but 6 is so much better!!). I realise no matter how many we get we always feel for the ones that didn't make it, so take time to feel for them and do whatever makes you feel better And then onwards to success!! And yeah - taking time when you know you'll need it is a great idea. @DecemberDoll27 Welcome! I really hope this is your month If it's not too intrusive can I ask you (or any of you ladies) about CPs? Is that technically when you get a BFP but your Beta result is low - or can it go on longer than that? It's a situation that worries me as my clinic doesn't do beta testing at all - it's just POAS ~14 days post transfer and if it's positive they schedule a scan at 7 weeks. I'm very sorry if this is an upsetting question for some of you

@mcgeeva Six is fantastic! we got five to send to get tested and I was so happy. We had a little roller coaster of emotions with our PGS testing. Be sure to take care of yourself and relax. The wait is killer.
@roisis. That’s very strange. I agree with @ndz2018 can you request one? Just to ensure your levels are increasing as they should.
Hello Everyone! I am joining the board; I will have my first FET in April. My meds have been ordered and I am waiting on them, but I already know that I dont need to inject anything this cycle. It seems like this FET is going to be a breeze compared to IVF. I am also pretty pumped about the minimal monitoring, during IVF my arms were constant bruises.
CD 1 finally!! Doing the FET happy dance! Transfer should be between April 3rd - 5th since doctor does 21 day transfers. Leaning towards the 5th because don't want to be pre-receptive since didn't do an ERA and don't know exact timing. I need to stay off google! lol

@ndz2018@J1006 It just seems to be the way it's done here. I asked a nurse last time about blood tests and she said they just don't do them - but mentioned that if they suspected an early m/c they might bring you in. Although even in the post-FET instructions it just states if you get a BFP and then start to bleed you're to POAS the following week - again nothing about blood-tests. I didn't question it last time, but now I see that everyone else does this I may query it again. But I don't think they're going to change their procedures just for me. @morganelizabeth123 Welcome! Best of luck this month @kristimh80 Yay

I can tell you what I know so far... I just did pre cycle bloodwork, so things can change or be added (like possibly thyroid hormone) This cycle: Waiting to ovulate then one week after ovulation I'll be taking Lupron. This Lupron will continue through the fet cycle until 5 days before transfer. The Lupron is meant to essentially stop my body from starting a new menstrual cycle. It will stop me from ovulating in the fet cycle since they don't want a lead follicle to grow, or to ovulate and be a cyst that creates its own estrogen and more importantly, progesterone. After I ovulate I will continue on Lupron. On day 2 or 3 of cycle I will have Bloodwork and US for baseline and initial lining check, and likely start estrogen the next day. I will also start Doxycycline... this is supposed to help reduce possible inflammation and make sure there are no random infections for the body to fight when they want me to be implanting. This should all go on for 10-12 days. After that I should have another ultrasound and bloodwork to make sure the lining is right. If so I stop the Lupron and add Progesterone in Oil (keeping the estrace and doxycycline) for 5 days then transfer. I will also be using metro gel for the 5 days before transfer to make sure there are no vaginal infections. I think you should trust your docs as really every clinic and every woman is different. FET results are based on SO many different things... the condition of the uterus, the condition of the embryo, and of course, the skill of the team and the protocol. I actually didn't want a crazy all out protocol like this, BUT this is my clinics plan for me and I don't want to stress myself at a time I need to be the most happy and peaceful (as hard as that is). If you really have questions or concerns, ask NOW before things really get rolling. I definitely asked lots of questions about this protocol since I just didn't understand why I had the doxycycline for so long and I decided NOT to use the BCP's they wanted me to take and just monitor my ovulation with a fertility monitor. Most clinics will work with you and obviously will explain their thinking on your protocol.
@kristimh80 YAY FOR AF!!! Let’s get the FET rollin!! When do you start your estrogen ?
@morganelizabeth123 WELCOME! It’s my first FET too but I already know I’ll be doing PIO starting 5 days before transfer. Do they have you on progesterone suppositories? I also Have those when I’ll be adding them idk. When did you do you ER?
@dragonette505 I guess the doxy is to be double safe that no bacteria is in there maybe?!
My nurse says its to reduce inflammation systemically, so not really for the vaginal area... that's the metrogel... and honestly... even a week of that seems cray, but like I said...I'm just going with it.

@kristimh80@ndz2018 - I'm on estrace, and I do not love it. Of all the drugs I've been on, I actually find the ones that deal with estrogen are the worst. For me, the estrace and clomid have been the hardest. Maybe I'm used to it now, but I find on estrace I'm kind of sluggish. At least this time, I seem really sluggish.
Anyway, @kristimh80 - hoping you don't have any side effects!
@funkykey Thanks for the warning! I took my 1st pill this morning and 2 hours later have gotten waves of nausea. Guess I'll be inhaling peppermint oil all day. lol

Hi all! Can't say I'm exactly excited to be here, but I seem to have cycled with a bunch of you over the last 4-5 months so at least I am in good company.
Just had my second failed FET. First FET was medicated (and awful), second FET was a natural FET and I felt so much better on that protocol. RE suspects endo but is not prepared to do a lap at this point. Was supposed to start Lupron Depot shots next week for a couple of months and transfer again end of May (to shrink endo), but I was reading up on side effects of the drug for migraine sufferers and have come across too many stories of women ending up in hospital and having their migraines worsen for years after taking Lupron Depot and am no longer comfortable risking my health at this stage. I already have a lowered quality of life with my migraines, I do not want to compromise it further. So, I also spoke with my RE about doing a stimulated/natural cycle with femara as it has been shown to increase endometrial receptivity in patients with endo and am hoping to try this protocol next. I have 8 untested embryos left. Hoping April is a good month for all of us!

Glad your doctor is willing to try another approach / protocol for this month. I know we did IUI's last Spring together, did you do Femara then as well? AFM: quick update, I have an U/S and some more bloodwork on Monday, and then I'm hoping to do the ERA the following Sunday, but I'll know more Monday. So, yeah... more waiting, but at least moving in the right direction.
I swear, sometimes I feel like the world's most patient woman. All of us. Some of my IRL friends, they are so clueless and get so impatient about, like, nothing. If there's one thing IF does, it makes you practice so much patience!
tosh24 UGH! So sorry for the reason youre here, but glad to have you aboard! I did a semi natural FET last time (trigger after pos OPK and then luteal support with progesterone and estrogen) and this time its microdose Lupron starting after o this cycle and a whole heap of other stuff.... so wishing I was doing the same as last cycle .... let us know how your protocol is meant to work when you get the deets... if this one doesn't work for me then maybe stimulated one will be my next one. funkykey so true about the patience... we have to wait wait wait.... everything is a waiting process with IVF
tosh24 im so sorry I hope the new protocol will help with the endo and produce a little bean without all the side effects. Stay strong

@ndz2018 I have a lot of endo symptoms (digestive issues, bowel pain, bladder inflammation, migraines, heavy periods, pain with intercourse, cramping after O to AF, but oddly enough no period cramps lol). I also have adenomyosis (so some of the symptoms listed above could be from that) which is like a sister of endo and they can often occur together. RE said I haven't had enough failed transfers to warrant a lap (they are very conservative with surgery), and suggested we just treat me like an endo patient anyway. I was really excited about that approach until I started reading up on the long-tern health issues women have had with Lupron Depot and now I'm terrified of going that route. So, instead I'm hoping she'll let me do the Femara protocol although the clinic doesn't usually use that approach for normally ovulating women.
@kristimh80 Yes! I was on Femara for all of my IUI cycles. I had a great response to it on only 2.5 mg and basically no side effects. I'm really hoping I can move forward with this approach. My naturopath also put together an "endo" protocol for me in addition to everything else I'm taking. A couple of the supplements have proven very successful in clinic trials wrt endo and pregnancy. Hoping they will work for me too!

Ladies I'm so freaking impatient waiting for my PGS results!!! I won't even get my schedule until then. This honestly feels like torture. Clearly my busy work schedule isn't enough to keep my mind occupied. I'm trying my best not to be a pita and both my nurse again to see the exact day she sent my samples off.

Guuuurl, 6 is awesome! But I know how it feels to wish more made it..... retail therapy! I'd buy something!
Good! Its supposed to be easier to inject than the olive oil... I mean... its all good and we would both do it if we had to! lol but its good at least to START with the easier one

@dragonette505 , thanks for sharing your last protocol for natural...so what are they doing this time around...
I feel like I am missing something with no meds...I only have 1 embryo to transfer so scared I am not doing enough.
My Moto is "just do it and don't think too much!"
Wishing everyone luck and a bunch of sticky thoughts

@DecemberDoll27 Welcome! I really hope this is your month
If it's not too intrusive can I ask you (or any of you ladies) about CPs? Is that technically when you get a BFP but your Beta result is low - or can it go on longer than that? It's a situation that worries me as my clinic doesn't do beta testing at all - it's just POAS ~14 days post transfer and if it's positive they schedule a scan at 7 weeks. I'm very sorry if this is an upsetting question for some of you

I can tell you what I know so far... I just did pre cycle bloodwork, so things can change or be added (like possibly thyroid hormone)
This cycle: Waiting to ovulate then one week after ovulation I'll be taking Lupron.
Most clinics will work with you and obviously will explain their thinking on your protocol.
welcome to the board!!
kristimh80 Yay for AF!!
@kristimh80 congrats on AF!
afm, I stopped bc on Saturday. My af should be here any day now.
@roisis that stinks they don’t do beta testing. When my beta came back low the doctor told me to stop my meds.

If there's one thing IF does, it makes you practice so much patience!
funkykey so true about the patience... we have to wait wait wait.... everything is a waiting process with IVF
