Re: APRIL FET

  • @roisis Hey! Hope all is going well!
@ndz2018. It looks like some REs use the Lupron to highjack the cycle. I think my RE does it so that it doesn’t matter when you get your period and she can control when the transfer is done

@funkykey Of course you can join us!! Welcome and sorry to hear about your failed FETs. I too, like @dragonette505,  also had a uterine surgery.. so you’re in good company with that! What surgery did you have?  I had my septum removed on 1/22.

LOL exactly! Only prince could make a sparkling new ute look sexier! :)

  • @dragonette505 @ndz2018 - I just had a little one, just a D&C/ polyp removal. The wait was actually the hardest part. The septum surgeries seem so much more intense! I hope you both have had smooth recoveries and that it hasn't been too painful!

Yeah, this wait is the pits!
  • Guess I'm officially an April FET party member since AF still doesn't want to show her face. My mom thinks for fun we should take a test, but she doesn't get that when dealing with IF it just doesn't work that way! lol Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!! <3
Yay!!! Now come on AF so this cycle can start rolling :)
  • @J1006 Yay!!! I think BC is the worst out of them all ! I think the lupron hot flashes as so much more manageable!

@dragonette505 AF never comes when I want it! I figure she'll show right in the middle of work day next week lol

  • @J1006 I started lupron on Thursday.  Pretty easy injection.  I haven’t noticed any side effects yet.

@kristimh80 fx af shows soon so that you can get the ball rolling.

  • Guys why do I feel like the only one NOT on Lupron? Anyone else? I feel so left out  :D
  • @ndz2018 - I'm not on lupron. Just estrogen pills to supress ovulation, and then I'll inject progesterone and take it in vaginal tablet form.
  • @ndz2018 Lupron isn't in my protocol either. Just estrace and progesterone.

  • @ndz2018 No Lupron for me either - but I'm glad you mentioned it - as I was also thinking I was the only one not taking it too (turns out there's lots of us!). Actually I'm not on any injectables for my transfer, just tablets and crinone gel ( which gets squirted up my lady-bits :) ) I'm quite relieved as I am really not a fan of needles... although the crinone is seriously icky...

@funkykey I think we pretty much have the same protocol.
@roisis I’ve got to do the PIO injections and the suppositories!!
@dragonette505 Is that in sesame or olive oil?
  • Hi all,
my March natural cycle with trigger didn't work and worst I got AF in middle of my work day,
  • @smittenkitten_aka_knottie821 Starting AF is one stap closer to FET! Did you start on your meds yet?
  • @ndz2018 , I know what you mean....my RE is having me Do a natural cycle with ET, no medications for now.
So many of us have different protocols. Wondering if you guys want to write your protocol to share with us so we can see?

@funkykey , I also had a polyp removed last month...the waiting is the worst part.
  • So got AF last night so waiting on results of embryos before they give me my FET instructions. Start BC tomorrow. Only have two frozen ones out of 21 as of right now. Not exactly sure what that means for the others.

  • @mcgeeva FX for your other little embryos! Some times they will let them cook a little longer to see if more make it to blast stage. I know I had several that went on the Day 6 to become blasts.

kristimh80  I wonder if today is the last day or tomorrow at day 7 is the longest they can wait before tossing? I will definitely have to ask my doc today. Also if only 2 last out of 21 then I would wonder if I have egg issues? I have so many questions!!!

  • @mcgeeva so 2 out of your 21 eggs retrieved made it to PGS testing?
  • @mcgeeva Can you call your embryologist and ask? I have seen / heard of people going to day 7. Maybe some are close, so they are anticipating them coming thru by the end of the day. Don't lose hope!

  • ndz2018 yes technically one was frozen yesterday and they were hoping to freeze the other today because it was close. I'm just nervous it's day 6 today. I'll give an update whenever they call. Definitely nervous as all hell.

Sesame...how about you? I know the thickest one is the olive oil so I'm definitely avoiding that!

I did semi natural FET last year... natural cycle till pos OPK then trigger and luteal support (vaginal progesterone suppositories and estrogen tablets)
If folks want to show protocols, I'm happy to share mine too... what I know so far, anyway :)

Depending on the quality some clinics will freeze some day 7's too. Currently day 7 is the last day most clinics will freeze on. Hoping your guy gets frozen today!
  • Alright just heard I have 6. One may make it tomorrow but this is it. I'm feeling sad for some stupid reason. I feel like I need to cry or have retail therapy. I know I should be happy but honestly not until PGD is done

6 embryos is a great number!  I know the wait for the genetic testing can be hell but hang in there doll! I think our PGS testing came back 7/8 days after they went out for testing but my SILs took 12 days to come back.. we were at the same exact clinic.
  • @dragonette505 I’ve got Sesame oil too!!
