Hi guys. It looks like I'll be joining you here as I just got my AMH results back this morning and it was only .12. It came as quite a shock since I'm 30 years old! I'm meeting with my RE first thing on Monday to discuss all of my results and figure out what comes next. I started seeing an RE a couple weeks ago *TW-loss* after my 3rd CP in a row. *end TW* My other results were: AFC: around 6 or 8, FSH: 9.2, and the other tests (TSH, karyotype, blood clotting disorders, and HSG) all had normal results. For now, I'm reading ISWTE and going on Amazon shopping sprees to replace some of my products with more natural ones. I've also been getting some excellent advice and support from @emmasemm. Also trying my hardest to stop googling low AMH because a result of .12 seems super low compared to what I'm seeing online and it's kind of scary! I've been lurking this thread for a while and I'm so excited for all of this week's updates! Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning from you along the way.

Anyway, my last update was on day five. We had three 3AAs, a 3BB, and four still stick in cleavage stage they wanted to watch. I get another update tomorrow. But in other news, I started my period today. Already. So I’ll have baselines a Monday before my flight home and then turn around and come back in like a week. Hahahah.

@kristokekerooni 4 embies already frozen and four more still being watched is awesome! Hope you’re enjoying the break too On the other hand it sounds like they were good follies the eggs were in, and as you had such a lot of them and then no progesterone supplementation, once the natural has dropped from so high to so low, I’m not surprised you AF already. Great that you can do the baseline for the FET directly with them and not remote!

Sorry I’ve been MIA this week - I came down with the plague on Tuesday and basically didn’t get out of bed until yesterday. Finally starting to feel like I may live again.
Thanks to those of you that gave me the info about the left side being harder to find on the u/s- it was reassuring while it lasted! My doctor called Thursday and said they did find something on the u/s but couldn’t tell me what over the phone. She did say that I could still wait to come in until after my BW is done so I’m assuming it’s at least not anything that will kill me in the interim which is somewhat relieving. I also kind of hope it is what has been causing my IF so that I know what the problem is and can come up with a plan to combat it! BW and SA start this week so FX those results come back normal.
@emmasemm I'm good!! Just *not so* patiently waiting to get started while my ovaries get back to their normal size. On progesterone supps till Friday so at least I'll get some boobs outta the deal Hows everything on your end?? I know as of earlier this week you had tons on your plate to work through!

@offtoneverland so sorry you find yourself here. Just wanted to let you know my AMH was 0.13 before starting IVF and the main reason we needed IVF was due to MFI issues. From what my RE said, low AMH really has no bearing on your ability to get pregnant but is more of a predictor of how you will respond to stims. It lets them know that you may need higher doses or a different protocol etc, if you have to go that route. There is also a monster thread on low AMH on the IF board.

@offtoneverland I am sorry that you have joined our camp, however, I am glad that something has been figured out and that you can move onto a new plan to receive better chances. Hugs. I know this road is hard.
@jrm_14 Sorry Someone else in the wto thread told me that it is a good idea to temp even during treatment cycles to confirm when you O. Will you share with me what the injectables are like in your experience? I'm gonna request that my RE check P the morning of IUI like @darkstar42 's because that's a great idea! @darkstar42 The NP told me the sperm plunged in there only lasts a total of 5 hours in the uterus. Wouldn't it be pointless to O the next morning? Edit: I looked it up just now and it looks like up to five days. I wonder why she told me that. So much for me to learn so I don't stress over what incompetent people tell me. Ugh.

@suzycupcake With my first IUI, I was afraid it was too early so I googled “washed sperm” and saw it only lasts 6-12 hours (as opposed to normal sperm that can last up to 5 days), however with my second IUI, I asked, and the nurse said that washed sperm still live 2-3 days in the uterus so I have no clue what is right. I guess it’s just making sure that you have the best timing possible for the IUI

@elothair While that sucks that they found something on the U/S, I too hope that, whatever it is, it tells you what is causing the IF and you can fix it. When will you speak to the doctor more?

Anyway, my last update was on day five. We had three 3AAs, a 3BB, and four still stick in cleavage stage they wanted to watch. I get another update tomorrow. But in other news, I started my period today. Already. So I’ll have baselines a Monday before my flight home and then turn around and come back in like a week. Hahahah.

On the other hand it sounds like they were good follies the eggs were in, and as you had such a lot of them and then no progesterone supplementation, once the natural has dropped from so high to so low, I’m not surprised you AF already. Great that you can do the baseline for the FET directly with them and not remote!

Sorry I’ve been MIA this week - I came down with the plague on Tuesday and basically didn’t get out of bed until yesterday. Finally starting to feel like I may live again.
Thanks to those of you that gave me the info about the left side being harder to find on the u/s- it was reassuring while it lasted! My doctor called Thursday and said they did find something on the u/s but couldn’t tell me what over the phone. She did say that I could still wait to come in until after my BW is done so I’m assuming it’s at least not anything that will kill me in the interim which is somewhat relieving. I also kind of hope it is what has been causing my IF so that I know what the problem is and can come up with a plan to combat it! BW and SA start this week so FX those results come back normal.
Hows everything on your end?? I know as of earlier this week you had tons on your plate to work through!

@offtoneverland so sorry you find yourself here. Just wanted to let you know my AMH was 0.13 before starting IVF and the main reason we needed IVF was due to MFI issues. From what my RE said, low AMH really has no bearing on your ability to get pregnant but is more of a predictor of how you will respond to stims. It lets them know that you may need higher doses or a different protocol etc, if you have to go that route. There is also a monster thread on low AMH on the IF board.

@elothair While that sucks that they found something on the U/S, I too hope that, whatever it is, it tells you what is causing the IF and you can fix it. When will you speak to the doctor more?
