This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Trying on our own whilst trying to get set up with the new clinic for either end of Feb or end of March cycles.
How are things going?: Great consult with a potential new clinic next week. Just waiting to receive their formal response hopefully latest tomorrow. In the meantime trying to sort out some more testing he recommended locally, and find somewhere to do local monitoring. Language barrier (local to overseas clinic) and possibility for same day BW results seem to be the limiting factors right now. Just want to get moving. We have a legal issue which is adding to the stress (and seems to move very very slowly). And somewhere amongst this I need to get my bloomin’ thesis written... Oh yeah, and work. Because earning the money to pay for all of this is pretty important! But we have light snow on the ground and the sun is shining, so the world does at least look very picturesque.
Any questions?: Unless you have a miracle cure to a local monitoring solution. Nope.
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? I’m going with Waschbär-woman. I look all cute and cuddly and sleepy - but get too close uninvited and I can leave quite a mark ;-) I think a cool mask with black and white stripes (a bit like an old fashioned robber) would also suit me hehehehe.
@shortstack930 good luck today @kristokekerooni hope you’re recovering well @jrm_14 thinking of you today too And anyone else going through procedures or getting results today

@emmasemm, I’m glad things are looking promising with the new clinic! FX you can get all the logistics (and the legal issue!) figured out without too many headaches.
What are you doing this cycle? : Just a little over two weeks till the consult now! Two weeks and one day, to be exact.
How are are things going? : It’s starting to feel real now and I’m getting really nervous about everything, but I’m also excited we’re finally getting close to the appointment after such a long wait. It was a little bit of a hard weekend, though, because DH got really down about our not having kids yet after some social events we went to. I hate to see him feeling that way.
Any questions? : Nope!
GTKY: If you were a super hero, what would be your super hero name and why? I’m going to say the Masked Meerkat because I love meerkats and they are known for their vigilance (and fiercer than people might expect!). Since, like Barbara Gordon, my day job is being a librarian, the Masked Meerkat would always be on the lookout for chances to save the day with information literacy.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): No clue... what is it when you're taking Provera to induce AF?
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Testing-ish/Waiting
How are things going?: ETA x2: TLDR/short version: H & I got into an argument. It's all good and resolved, but end result is we have to wait to do SA/HSG. Long ranty version: It's... going. Had a "talk" (read emotional outburst) with dumb H over the weekend. He pointed out that we should hold off until after mid-March to get the HSG/SA done. He had a very good point in that my mom is getting married March 10th in NJ and we should save all the pennies for our trip there. That way we have a solid buffer should anything happen since we're driving, and we'll be able to do a few fun things and make it a mini-vacation at the same time especially since if we get KU anytime soon we won't have the option of doing, yadda yadda yadda. Simply put, I don't wanna. I want to do something (re)productive (<-- see what I did there lol). It was a fairly epic meltdown (on my part), yelling, tears, angry walking away, and accusations that he doesn't really want to have a child with me... I'm not proud of it. It was slightly temper tantrum-esque until I cooled off. I know he's right (although I'll be damned if I tell him that quite yet). He promised to uphold the HIO EOD deal in the meantime (on the off chance I magically O on my own). I'm just bummed out because I know he's right and I was a hand basket of emotions. I sent an email to my doc this morning letting her know. At least it's not waiting until May? Still though... harrumph *insert pouting face* Oddly enough H handled it like a champ and really didn't bat an eye at it all. He got me laughing and assured me that he does in fact want to have a kid with me and gave me a big hug and was super understanding to all the emotions. It's just an annoying setback. I'm still gonna get BW taken care of in the meantime so it doesn't feel entirely pointless. *fist shake* damn you mother and your stupid wedding (just kidding, I'm actually super happy for her and it'll be good to see her and all my family on her side).
Any questions?: Any good suggestions how to apologize for ALL the emotions without acknowledging MH is right? Kidding, he knows I'm begrudgingly in agreement with him, just disappointed.

@jrm_14 thinking of you today girly! @shortstack930 hope everything goes well today, you're in my thoughts! @KristoKekerooni Hope you're recovering quickly and feeling better! and to everyone else doing things today/this week I hope it all goes perfectly! ETA: Be back for tags and things.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): I got a positive opk Saturday evening, so I think O was yesterday or today. Only doing opks this cycle, so I'm not sure exactly!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): trying on our own
How are things going?: Ok. This is our 12th month ttgp, so that's a bit hard to come to terms with. I randomly woke up in a good mood on Saturday, which was nice, but made me aware of how down I've been feeling most of the time. I'm also trying to lose some weight and utterly failing at that, so that has been frustrating.
Any questions?: Has anyone in the US applied for scholarships/grants to cover IVF? I know they are super competitive, but just curious what that process is like.
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? This is a hard one! I don't have a good answer right now.
@emmasemm I'm glad you've found a clinic you like! I hope you can get all the details ironed out quickly. @Augusta108 Sorry YH is feeling down. That's always hard to see. But your consult is coming right up! @lurvleybunchococonuts *hugs* Sorry about the fight with YH. I'd be grumpy about postponing testing too. @jrm_14@shortstack930@KristoKekerooni Thinking of you all today!
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI , Healing from Septate Uterus surgery
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): BENCHED Till the end of March
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): just continues taking my Estradriol after my surgery.. nothing much other than that’s
How are things going?: I got Pretty bummed out about having to wait one more cycle. The one doctor in my group who did my surgery told me I’ll be doing my FET in March so my mind was all set for March, ya know? I was getting excited. I know it’s the best thing for me and my embryo but it doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it. Other than that, I guess I’m doing ok. I am Excited for a hormone free cycle in March and enjoying one last drunken St Patricks Day Parade. I march with an Irish school of dance every year and it’s A LOT OF FUN TIMES!! So I have That to look forward to lol
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? I have to get back to you in this as I’m drawing a blank lol
@lurvleybunchococonuts Had almost the same argument with H this weekend too!! I told him I was Sad we have to wait till april to do our FET and he was saying well it’s a good things BLAH BLAH BLAH! That it’s gives us more time to put $ away, and this and that. I’m like ARE YOU HAPPY ABOUT THIS?!?!?? Ugh anyway all was resolved and things are better. In my mind I know It’s for the best, to heal and make it the best environment for my embryo but it doesn’t mean I have to like it. Rant over.
@emmasemm I'm glad you have a glimmer on the horizon with the new clinic. Figuring out logistics sucks - I wish there was a better way. @Augusta108 That's so exciting - getting so close! @lurvleybunchococonuts I'm sorry you fought (and overreacted). I do that too on occasion and thankfully DH has always been pretty good at understanding. It's super frustrating when they want to throw logic at problems though! @darkstar42 I only used OPKs this month as well and it feels so weird to not really know what's going on with my body and not have the data. The TTGP process is so stressful when it's not happening - they really don't prepare you for the possibility it might not happen super easily. @shortstack930 GL today!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Secondary Infertility - still not sure why
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Testing - u/s is tomorrow but I won't get the results until I see my doctor again which will be after next cycles BW so likely mid-March.
How are things going?: Pretty good - I feel better now that I've accepted it likely won't happen on it's own and I know it's going to be a slow process which I'm ok with. I feel like we are finally actually doing something which is nice.
Any questions?: Not this week!
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why?
@emmasemm I hope you hear from the new clinic sooner than later!
@Augusta108 I hope these next two weeks fly by for you
@lurvelybunchococonuts I'm sorry you and DH had a fight, but glad it got resolved. I know it's hard to wait, especially when you've been trying so long ((hugs))
@ndz2018 The end is in sight - one more cycle! Hopefully it'll go by fast
AFM...
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, mild MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #3 this week, probably Thursday. CD 13 U/S tomorrow afternoon to see where I'm at
How are things going?: Things are good. Got my AMH number back Friday, I'm at 4.09. So I had been thinking a lot about things, and I am overweight, and not healthy, therefore my eggs most likely aren't healthy either. So we are doing this IUI (and maybe another, if I have trigger left over), and then on our own until July. If nothing has happens by July, we're going to do IVF. I'm going to spend the next 5 months working on losing weight, being healthy and taking the appropriate vitamins. I've started the #1 prenatal and #1 CoQ10 Ubiquinol recommended for egg quality I don't want to go through IVF to find out my eggs are crap. It's going to be hard enough as it is with my age, and if I can take time to get them in the best shape possible, I'm going to do it. I'm mad at myself that I didn't start this earlier, but better late than never. I think the reason I've been so hesitant to start the IVF is because I knew deep down I wasn't ready health-wise, but I am happy with my decision, feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Any questions?:
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? Anxiety Girl, able to leap to the worst conclusion in a single bound!
@shortstack930 thinking of you. Hope things go well. @KristoKekerooni hoping to hear a good update from you today! @emmesmum sorry to hear you've hit another road block. I hope things can resolve quickly and you can find a way to get your local monitoring done. So glad you've found a clinic that may work for you. @Augusta108 I hope the week gets better for you. It can be so hard to see our H's in pain/down about TTC stuff. I hope these 2 weeks (and one day) fly by for you. @lurvleybunchococonuts postponing testing/forward movement can be so frustrating. @darkstar42 hugs lady. those "milestones" in TTC can be tough. I don't have any information on IVF grants/scholarships. I think a lot of it varies from state to state and who is providing the grant. @ndz2018 sorry you have to continue to wait, like you said you're giving your embryo the best chance. @RVAmom315 You're doing what is best for you and giving yourself the best chance. So glad you're feeling a bit lighter with your decision. Good for you! Also, LOVE anxiety girl! @elothair sorry if i missed it, but what is the u/s for tomorrow? why so long of a wait for the results??
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW, but we were benched this cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): have an u/s on Wednesday to check the cysts, hopefully they're gone and we can move forward with IUI next cycle.
How are things going?: meh, got the genetic screening back no issues, so that is a positive
Any questions?:
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why?
Captain Quiet?- I am a really good listener and don't say much. Not sure what my superpower would be.
TTC#1 10/2016 TTC/IF:included medicated cycles, IUIs and 2 rounds of IVF with 1 embryo each. BFP finally in 12/2018
TTC#2 06/2021 planning FET
"Some days are diamonds, some days are rocks, some doors are open, some roads are blocked"
@RVAmom315 It's good to have a plan and getting healthy to start is definitely a great one - one that I am working on as well. Hopefully you won't need it though - FX for this IUI! @Avrilmai The u/s is to check for fibroids or anything else that may be obviously interfering with TTC. I could probably get the results sooner if I scheduled a separate appointment for just that but when I met with my doctor last we agreed I would get the u/s and bw done and DH would do his SA and then I would book back in to look at everything and see if there was anything off. She is about 45-60 minutes away (because finding a family doctor in this city is ridiculously hard) and I've been with her since before we move out to the suburbs so I don't mind driving to see her but try and make it worth it by wrapping a few things in if I can!
@emmasemm Ugh good luck with it all! Looks like you have lots on your plate. I hope it all works itself out somehow! @Augusta108 Wow that went by quick (for me at least! lol). I'm glad your appt is finally almost here! @lurvleybunchococonuts Well congrats on at least joining me on the crazy outburst train. All of this is just stressful and overwhelming and one decisions turns into a HUGE decision and it's just a lot. I'm happy you were able to work things out and were laughing at the end of it all. I say just bring your husband one of his favorite treats (beer, girl scout cookies, cake, wine, etc...) and just thank him for listening and talking you off the ledge and tell him it wont be the last time...so buy him 2 of whatever you're buying lol @darkstar42 Ah good luck this cycle!!! @ndz2018 I totally understand being disappointed even when you know it's the best option. It's tough to just go with the flow when the flow is making you wait even longer. Hopefully the next couple of months fly by!!! @elothair Good luck with your u/s. Are you not able to have someone call you with the results instead of waiting? That's a long wait! @RVAmom315 Good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow! And I'm glad you're happy with your decision to wait!! I'm sure it'll be best for everyone - this process is stressful enough and I feel like you need to go into it as "ready" as possible!! @Avrilmai I hope your scan looks great!!! And that's good news on the screening piece - one less thing to have in the back of your mind! @shortstack930 Hope things go well today!! Can't wait for your update!!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): MFI - Low count
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): In the process of IVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Right now waiting for my estrogen to get back to a normal level and then we will talk FET and timing. Today is CD2 so I need to call and schedule a baseline appt and bloodwork to see where we're at.
How are things going?: Meh. I got a call yesterday that from the 9 embryos we had on Friday, we have 2 frozen and 2 that they were still watching (I should have an update on those soon). That just felt like a kick in the stomach when I heard her say 2. What?? From 9?! How?? I'm hoping the 2 that they're watching can be frozen and I'm just super anxious we'll lose more after the testing. I'll be a mess for the next week basically.
Any questions?:
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? Stress girl. Give me a situation and I will stress and drive myself crazy over it (see my "how are things going" above lol). Or Anxiety Girl, like @RVAmom315 either one works for me.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): It's almost here! My FET is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon and then I'll settle into for the TWW.
How are things going?: Friday's appointment was surprising, but exciting. My RE said my lining looks great and my hormone levels are good. After the u/s, we met in his office. He always asks how many embryos we are transferring and I always ask for his recommendation, since he's the doctor. Even though he's we should go for one since we started this process, he floored me when he asked if we would like to implant two. (We would use one PGS tested and one untested.) He said he would feel confident about transfering two this time around after making sure that I would be okay if both ended up sticking. I checked with DH and we are all on board, so here's hoping that Wednesday goes well!
Any questions?: Is anyone else still dealing with the PIO shortage in your area? I snagged two of the last bottles at the pharmacy last week.
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? Aloha Woman, since Hawaiian style is in my veins.

Hey y'all. I guess I go here now, too, if you'll have me.
I posted on the IF board a while ago since we're doing IF treatments (though we didn't know if we were IF or not, if that makes sense). My W got tested for AMH and her levels are low. 0.2. We were both shocked. Here she was, younger and healthier than me, we thought surely there wouldn't be a problem but here we are.
Diagnosis: low AMH
Status: Testing me now
What are you doing this cycle: Nothing yet. W is definitely not a candidate for the version of reciprocal IVF we wanted so that's off the table.
How are things going: Ugh. I'm really upset. I didn't even consider that this would happen. I guess I'm so surprised because she responded really well to Letrozole. On a 2.5 mg dose she had multiple follicles. Could they have just been empty or something? I thought low AMH meant your reserve was low and meant your a poor responder to medication. I've been trying to research it online but I just don't understand. Our doctor's office wasn't super helpful. They just basically said "Your AMH is low so you're out. Let's test L and see what her levels are and go from there."
Any questions: I guess I'm just wondering if IUI is even an option for W now. She says she wants to try another IUI because she responded well to medication and thinks that maybe the meds are recruiting what few eggs she has left and that even though there aren't many they could still be decent quality. But I don't know. I'm not a doctor so this is way out of my realm of understanding.
GTKY: Green Goddess, because I'm a hell of a gardener. I could set up my own summer farmer's market in my front yard but I'm greedy and eat my tomatoes as fast as they grow lol
@50Wife I know 2 doesn’t seem like much but it only takes 1! Keep your head up doll. Every woman who goes through this waiting period knows the struggle and it’s real!! we’re all here if you need us! And I REALLY hope the 2 they’re watch FIGHT!!! Come lil embryos hoping with all my hope they make it!
@AlohaKumu OMG HOW EXCITING!! Wed is so close!!!! FX so hard for you!!!
@Avrilmai Aweosme about you’re genetic testing! It’s always a positive when you get a good result back!
@RVAmom315 Our AMH is very similar mine was 4.17 and I’m AMA(37) I had the same worries btw. I really wanted to focus on losing a few pounds before starting IVF but that never happened. Then after IVF I packed On 10lbs. Now I’m really hoping to focus on losing them before FET. My goal is 15 pounds and I’ll be back to my “normal” weight which is in the middle of BMI, right now I’m on the higher end of it. I really need to start holding myself accountable for what I put In my body.
@wishiwaspreggo I’m so sorry you find yourself here and your diagnosis but you’re def in the right place. I’m not too familiar with low AMH but there are some wonderful women here who can relate. When do you start your testing?
@darkstar42 I’m sorry it’s so hard to accept that after a year we’re still not KU’d especially since you’re unexplained. I’m hoping you caught your O day correct! FX!! I have Only read stuff online about grants for IVF. You also may want to call around and ask about research/ trials. My friend got a HUGE discount on her IVF Bc they were doing a trial with the clinic. I forget what exactly it was but i know they paid a lot less!
Diagnosis (if you've been): endometriosis and low AMH
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): just waiting
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting to hear about the donor. Apparently Friday was the baseline appt. Here I thought she was already stimming!
How are things going?: Good. Just bored. But I feel totally free right now which is exactly what I need.
Any questions?:

@emmasemm I commend you for being so productive and proactive with your clinic search and the legal issue. (I'm sorry to hear it's going slowly, as I cannot even imagine the frustration.) I hope you are able to get into a new (and better!) clinic very soon. @Augusta108 Yay! It seems like the weeks are finally clicking by before the consult. @lurvleybunchococonuts This whole process can be so tough. DH and I are pretty emotionally even, but we've had our times when we were stretched to our limits. I know how frustrating it is to have to put off testing, but it sounds like it's for a very good reason here. I hope your bloodwork testing goes well. @darkstar42 I don't have information about grants. I know most people just end up clinic-shopping for the best price, since it's really difficult to find other funding sources. It's so frustrating that insurance doesn't cover IF, since it's clearly not anyone's fault. @ndz2018 I'm glad you have some exciting parties to look forward to while you are benched. I know that limbo period is pretty much the worst, but we will definitely be here to keep you company! @elothair It does feel nice to be able to at least get the bloodwork done, even if you have to wait a bit longer for more testing. @RVAmom315 It sounds like you have a good plan for the next few months! I know it's tough to be real with yourself. I know this whole process has made me gain more weight than I wanted to, but it's hard when you are just trying to "survive" through IF. @Avrilmai I hope everything goes really well with your appointment on Wednesday so you can get off the bench! @50Wife I'm going to keep everything crossed for you during this wait. I really hope those other two make it and the testing goes well. @wishiwaspreggo I'm sorry to hear your wife's AMH is way lower than you anticipated. I hope your doctor can give you more information about IUI possibilities, even with that low number. @rallykat14 I've been thinking of you! I hope everything goes well with your donor, now that the stimming is going to start for real.

@emmasemm I’m glad that you’re feeling good about moving forward with your new clinic!! Hoping that the switch and new protocol is exactly what you need!
@Augusta108 glad that you are getting close! Sorry for all the emotions, IF is so tough for both partners. Hugs!
@lurvleybunchococonuts I would say that your status is WFAF since you’re on the provera. And that’s a tough battle I hate not being right!!
@darkstar42 sorry to hear that you’ve hit the 12 month point even though every month can be difficult. are you all OOP for treatment or just IVF? I’ve never applied for grants but it might be a lengthy process if you are okay with the wait I’m sure there are options out there! we wrote off over $30k in medical expenses this year and I brought everything to my accountant and we are getting a good refund due to our expenses
@elothair glad that you are feeling hopeful about moving forward even though it can be a slow process
@ndz2018 sorry again that you have to wait longer than initially anticipated for your FET. I hope the time flies for you!
@RVAmom315 GL with your monitoring tomorrow let us know how it goes!!
@Avrilmai GL with your US I hope you are able to move forward next cycle with treatment! Did your doc think the cyst was from the clomid?
@AlohaKumu ahhhhh so frigging excited for you!!!!!! Fx so unbelievably hard for you!
@wishiwaspreggo I’m sorry for the news you got about YW. When will you be going in for testing?
@50Wife I’m really hoping the other two make it to freeze! Did they give you the grading of the first two frozen? Today is day 6?
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): im waiting for a callback from my nurse today so I can start BCPs tonight. I have a consult with the surgeon on Wednesday and then my hysteroscopy and cervical dilation is scheduled for Monday. The plan is to stop BCPs the day after my surgery and start prep for FET on 3/6, yay!
How are things going?: things are going great! I’m very thankful for our embryo and really excited about moving forward!

@50wife HA, glad to see I'm in good company I'll keep the "buy 2 for the future" idea in mind. I'm hoping those two being watched get their butts in gear and are able to be frozen. I'm sorry you're disappointed with only getting 2 for sure out of the 9, FX those two are rockstars!
@alohakumu eeek! All the things crossed for you on Wednesday! I'm so excited for you and anxiously awaiting your updates
@wishiwaspreggo *hugs* I'm sorry you find yourself here and that your Dr's office wasn't more helpful with your questions. I hope you're able to find more answers soon.
@rallykat14 How often do you get updates regarding your donor? I hope everything goes smoothly for her! I'm glad you're feeling good!

@rallykat14 I've been thinking of you! Hopefully you get a good update soon. I'm glad you're feeling good though!
@beachbunnyxo123 You have a date, and like a real light at the end of the tunnel!!! I am so excited for you!
So I got my update today! My voicemail yesterday said they have "a few" they're watching...not "two" like I thought I heard. So as of this morning we have 5 frozen!! They're sending out what they need to send tomorrow for each to be tested and I should have the results in 7-10 days. Nothing yet on what we have frozen though, assuming I'll get all of the details once all of the test results come back. Ugh now I'm anxious all over again! I hope those little guys are all normal and able to stay frozen for us!
@lurvleybunchococonuts - sorry you had a fight with your H I imagine it must be so stressful for both of you. I empathize on the finances sucking for all this stuff. It's just awful. I'm sad because while we have enough money to try a cycle of IVF it means we're draining all our reserves for the year that we could use for something more fun than medical procedures. But if they result in a baby, it's well worth it. We'll make more money but we can't buy more time, unfortunately.
@darkstar42 - I've seen the grants so I know what you're talking about but I haven't applied for one yet. I am a good grant writer, though, so if you find one you qualify for and want some help, hit me up. I don't qualify for any that I've seen myself.
@ndz2018 - sorry you have to wait another cycle but I hope you make this St. Paddy's Day count! I like celebrating too
@RVAmom315 - I'm with ya on the weight loss/worried about my age. I hate being on a diet, but as far as diets go, this Weight Watchers deal isn't too bad. Since the treatments are likely going to fall on me I'm more motivated to improve my health so there's that.
@50Wife - hoping those 2 embryos are nice and strong and the others they're watching catch up!
@AlohaKumu - Wooooooooo FET!!! I'll be thinking of you! Awesome it's coming up so soon!
@beachbunnyxo123 - Exciting you have a date set! FX for your little embryo.
And thanks, everyone, for the welcome and support. I'm getting my blood drawn for AMH tomorrow. I am just worried because based on my past TTC efforts things aren't promising.
My cycles are super wonky and really hard to track. I had to kick-start my period a couple times with Provera due to being anovulatory. I had 6 IUIs and had to use progressively stronger doses of medication for each one. I finally got pregnant in 2014 when I was 31. That was 4 years ago and I'm 35 now. If I had problems in my early 30's I can't imagine things are any better in my mid-30's. The only good thing is I'm 20 pounds lighter than I was when I conceived DS so maybe that will help but I don't know. If my AMH is bad, too, we have the option to adopt embryos conceived by women who used our donor. That's something we'd have to really think about and discuss because we didn't truly think we'd reach that point. The whole reason I was first up for pregnancy is because we thought W had a better chance in the future but we were wrong. Quite the curve ball.
@50wife YAY! That's an awesome update! FX your little frozen guys have good results!

RVAmom315 Thats a great AMH... diet and supplements really can help the whole process! Avrilmai hope your cysts are gone! 50Wife Sounds like this has been a great cycle! @emmasemm my hat is off to you! You've been handling everything with such patience and grace. You've got a lot going on and none of it is easy but I think you have such a great outlook on everything and I hope you find a good way for everything to work out.
@Augusta108 I'm sorry your H got down. I'm glad your consult is soon and you are closer to some answers.
@lurvleybunchococonuts I'm sorry you and your H had a fight. IF is so hard and there are so many emotions involved. And after all of the waiting it is hard to have to wait some more. I'm glad it's not too much of a wait and that you can get some things done in the meanwhile.
@darkstar42 hugs, girl. Hitting month 12 is hard. Fx for you this month!

It sucks when the husbands have a good point kidding- it sucks when it feels like nothing will ever go right and all you have been doing is waiting and now your have the chance to test and have to wait more (holy awful grammar). ((Hugs))
@emmasemm Ugh, the last thing you need is dealing with legal stuff on top of IF.
AFM, Negative beta again yesterday. WFAF now to start another injectable IUI cycle. Is it futile to temp during the cycle? It really surprised me the RE didn’t do an U/S or labs to confirm O. I’ve heard others don’t either. Does anyone ever get this? I asked the RE’e nurse yesterday and she said it wouldn’t change their course if they used u/s on IUI day.
@jrm_14 *hugs* again, my heart is sad for you, but keeping all the things crossed for this IUI. I'm so glad you're able to do another cycle right away!
@dragonette505 Yay! How was your first day back at work? I hope you're recovering well
@purplg8r Thanks for the suggestion, I know the HSG is covered but we have the deductible & co-pay associated with it. So *shrug* That's annoying about needing a referral after already being to the RE.

Re monitoring, personally I would say push for it. Most REs seem to do monitoring CD11/12 to check follicle size and time, then an US on the day of IUI just before it (by which time you actually shouldn’t quite have O’d was my understanding). Monitoring in LP seems much less common - however BW to confirm O is possible, but useless if using PIO. Also more important if using PIO and have a known progesterone deficiency to ensure levels are sufficient.

wanted to, but marching in a parade with an Irish dance school sounds kind of
awesome! Thanks for the advice! I have been looking into clinical trials as
well, but haven’t found any yet that seem like a match for me.
@elothair Hope your u/s goes well today! I hear you on not
being prepared to ttgp to take this long! MH used to joke that he’d get me ku
the first month we tried. Not so funny anymore…
@RVAmom315 Hope everything looks great at your monitoring
today! Your AMH is great, and it sounds like you have a path forward that you’re
feeling good about. That’s so great!
@Avrilmai Fx that those cysts are gone and you can move

@50Wife So glad that you got 5 embies to freeze! That it
wonderful!
@AlohaKumu OMG, FET tomorrow! I’ve got everything crossed
for you.
@wishiwaspreggo So sorry for the crappy news about YW’s AMH
level. *hugs* I appreciate the offer for grant-writing help! I do have some
experience with grant-writing (I’m an academic), but it never hurts to have an
extra pair of eyes look it all over!
@rallykat14 Here’s hoping all looks good for your donor!
@beachbunnyxo123 Wow, that FET is really coming up soon! One
more month! I’m so excited for you. We would be OOP for IVF, but insurance
covers 80% for IUIs (up to 5k per year). With our finances, we just can’t cover
IVF OOP. I’m going to keep on researching those grants!
@shortstack930 That is an amazing number of eggs! Woohoo!
@dragonette505 Thank you. That legit made me tear up
reading it. I don’t feel like much of a superhero lately. Glad you are
continuing to heal!
@purplg8r All the hoops we have to jump through with
insurance are such a pain! Hope everything goes smoothly and I’m glad you like
the new doc!
@jrm_14 Major *hugs* to you. For my next IUI my RE
will be measuring progesterone the morning of the IUI and the next morning to
check O timing. She’s looking for me to not have O’d yet the morning of, but to
have O’d by the next morning. She offered this option as a way of checking that
we were timing the trigger correctly relative to the IUI. She said that checking
progesterone mid-luteal phase is pointless (for figuring out timing) because it
just tells you whether or not you O’d, not when.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Trying on our own whilst trying to get set up with the new clinic for either end of Feb or end of March cycles.
How are things going?:
Great consult with a potential new clinic next week.
I look all cute and cuddly and sleepy - but get too close uninvited and I can leave quite a mark ;-)
I think a cool mask with black and white stripes (a bit like an old fashioned robber) would also suit me hehehehe.
@shortstack930 good luck today
@kristokekerooni hope you’re recovering well
@jrm_14 thinking of you today too

Diagnosis: Low AMH, MFI
Status: WTO and WF IVF Consult
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? Ovary Acting Overlord (seems self explanatory)
@jrm_14 thinking of you today girly!
@shortstack930 hope everything goes well today, you're in my thoughts!
@KristoKekerooni Hope you're recovering quickly and feeling better!
and to everyone else doing things today/this week I hope it all goes perfectly!

@Augusta108 Sorry YH is feeling down. That's always hard to see. But your consult is coming right up!
@lurvleybunchococonuts *hugs* Sorry about the fight with YH. I'd be grumpy about postponing testing too.
@jrm_14 @shortstack930 @KristoKekerooni Thinking of you all today!
Rant over.
@Augusta108 So close to your app! Hang in there!
@emmanemm Glad the consults went well hopefully you’ll have a plan very soon!
@shortstack930 GL today!!
@Kristokekerooni and @jrm_14 Thinking of you all today!
@darkstar42 Anniversaries always suck. ((hugs))

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW, but we were benched this cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): have an u/s on Wednesday to check the cysts, hopefully they're gone and we can move forward with IUI next cycle.
How are things going?: meh, got the genetic screening back no issues, so that is a positive

"Some days are diamonds, some days are rocks,
some doors are open, some roads are blocked"
@Avrilmai The u/s is to check for fibroids or anything else that may be obviously interfering with TTC. I could probably get the results sooner if I scheduled a separate appointment for just that but when I met with my doctor last we agreed I would get the u/s and bw done and DH would do his SA and then I would book back in to look at everything and see if there was anything off. She is about 45-60 minutes away (because finding a family doctor in this city is ridiculously hard) and I've been with her since before we move out to the suburbs so I don't mind driving to see her but try and make it worth it by wrapping a few things in if I can!
I say just bring your husband one of his favorite treats (beer, girl scout cookies, cake, wine, etc...) and just thank him for listening and talking you off the ledge and tell him it wont be the last time...so buy him 2 of whatever you're buying lol
@darkstar42 Ah good luck this cycle!!!
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Waiting for FET

Will come back and tag later.
(Testing? Treatment?):
Waiting to hear about the donor. Apparently Friday was the baseline appt. Here I thought she was already stimming!
How are things going?:
Good. Just bored. But I feel totally free right now which is exactly what I need.
Any questions?:

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WF surgery
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
im waiting for a callback from my nurse today so I can start BCPs tonight. I have a consult with the surgeon on Wednesday and then my hysteroscopy and cervical dilation is scheduled for Monday. The plan is to stop BCPs the day after my surgery and start prep for FET on 3/6, yay!
How are things going?:
things are going great! I’m very thankful for our embryo and really excited about moving forward!
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why?
gees I’m not sure, I’m not creative I will have to think and come back to this one!
ETA: @beachbunnyxo123 mh was listening to a comedian the other day that said, "Gentleman, the secret to marriage is that you can either be happy or you can be right. You decide which is more important" I hope your consult goes well!

Augusta108 It definitely can be hard on the guys too... but youre so close to moving forward!!
@lurvleybunchococonuts so sorry you were so upset... y'all sometimes i have an outburst over nothing! I think this whole process is just so stressful that anything can tip the balance
darkstar42 I think youre a super hero just getting through these months of TTC!
ndz2018 I chose for myself even ahead of the surgery to not transfer in March... I just think its so much better to have that cycle off the hormones... I've found that my lining is thinner after hormone/treatment cycles and much better after having a break.
elothair so glad you will be getting testing... it sucks so much to have no idea why its not happening.
RVAmom315 Thats a great AMH... diet and supplements really can help the whole process!
Avrilmai hope your cysts are gone!
50Wife Sounds like this has been a great cycle! Hoping your PGS results are just as awesome!
AlohaKumu OMG! SO close to being pupo and pasp!! Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!
wishiwaspreggo so sorry you have to join us, but its a great place for support! Every clinic has their own range of what AMH they will work with... if you look in the Infertility section theres a whole thread dedicated to AMH. Hoping yours is in a workable range for your clinic.
rallykat14 so awesome your donor is at baseline!!!
@beachbunnyxo123 Yay!!! Thats so close!!!
shortstack930 thats a great number of eggies!
Diagnosis (if you've been): OLD

@Augusta108 I'm sorry your H got down. I'm glad your consult is soon and you are closer to some answers.
@lurvleybunchococonuts I'm sorry you and your H had a fight. IF is so hard and there are so many emotions involved. And after all of the waiting it is hard to have to wait some more. I'm glad it's not too much of a wait and that you can get some things done in the meanwhile.
@darkstar42 hugs, girl. Hitting month 12 is hard. Fx for you this month!
@ndz2018 that is frustrating that you have to wait longer for FET but hopefully it'll be here before you know it!
@elothair good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow!
@RVAmom315 I'm so glad you came up with a plan that you're comfortable with! I definitely think it's a good idea to focus on getting healthier.
@Avrilmai fx the cysts are gone and you can move on to IUIs next cycle! And great news about the genetic testing!!
@50Wife 5 to freeze is great!! How are you feeling today? I hope the 7-10 days until results fly by for you!
@AlohaKumu ahhh so excited for your FET!!
@wishiwaspreggo sorry about your wife's results. What other options are available to you now?
@rallykat14 I'm glad things are moving along with the donor and that you're feeling free. Not being on any kind of meds must be a relief!
@beachbunnyxo123 ooh good luck next Monday! So excited for your FET to get here!
@dragonette505 so glad your surgery went well!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): secondary IF due to endometriosis
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): IVF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): had my ER today and transfer later this week!

Any questions?: nope.

@Augusta108 I hope the time goes by quickly!!
@lurvleybunchococonuts if you’re waiting in and HSG just for monetary reason, check with your dr. I don’t have IF coverage but they used a some kind of diagnostic testing code so it was covered.
@darkstar42 that 12 month mark is hard to swallow. Hugs.
@ndz2018 I hope your benching goes by quickly!!
@elothair I hope you u/s goes well tomorrow!!
@RVAmom315 I’m glad you’re happy with your decision! And I feel you in Anxiety. I might need to be your sidekick
@Avrilmai I’m hoping so hard for you that your cysts are gone and you can get off the bench!
@50Wife I know hearing only two isn’t what you wanted but I’m sending the two that they’re watching all my “fight fight fight” thoughts! ETA: yes!! 5 is even better!
@AlohaKumu you’re so close! With the shortage, what would they have you do if you couldn’t grab the bottles? And why is there a shortage?
@wishiwaspreggo I’m sorry your wife’s AMH is lower than you’d hoped. That stinks
@rallykat14 did they update you with any kind of timeline?
@beachbunnyxo123 3/6.... the countdown is ON!!
@shortstack930 yes!!! 17 is a great number!!
@dragonette505 glad your surgery went well!!
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, ovulation dysfunction
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): wto
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): temping & opks.
How are things going?: had my appt with my new pcp for H’s insurance so I can get a referral for my RE. Annoyed I had to get one since I’ve been with the RE 6 months but I didn’t have to pay anything there so not too bad. And actual really liked her and she works on my insurance so I think I might make her my main dr. And my body is behaving so far. If I can just wait until at least Thursday to get a +opk I’ll be happy!!
Any questions?:
GTKY: If you were a superhero, what would be your superhero name and why? The Boom Worm. And love to read and feel panicky if I don’t get in some reading time each day. @shortstack930 we can work together!
@AlohaKumu How long will those two bottles last?
@dragonette505 Glad your surgery went well. Hope you are on the mend.
@elothair GL on the u/s today. Let us k or how it goes!
@Avrilmai That’s a relief when the generic testing comes back normal! FX your cysts resolve & you can move forward.
@darkstar42 That’s a tough milestone. I’m sorry ((all the hugs))
@lurvleybunchococonuts Girl, you know I have my uncontrollable and irrational outburst with MH when thinks are so emotionally charged.
I asked the RE’e nurse yesterday and she said it wouldn’t change their course if they used u/s on IUI day.
purplg8r so glad the new doc is a keeper! Fingers crossed for that pos opk!
@shortstack930 WooHoo! 17?! that's awesome girl!!

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return
@ndz2018 I’m sorry you have to wait one more cycle than you wanted to, but marching in a parade with an Irish dance school sounds kind of awesome! Thanks for the advice! I have been looking into clinical trials as well, but haven’t found any yet that seem like a match for me.
@elothair Hope your u/s goes well today! I hear you on not being prepared to ttgp to take this long! MH used to joke that he’d get me ku the first month we tried. Not so funny anymore…
@RVAmom315 Hope everything looks great at your monitoring today! Your AMH is great, and it sounds like you have a path forward that you’re feeling good about. That’s so great!
@Avrilmai Fx that those cysts are gone and you can move forward!
@50Wife So glad that you got 5 embies to freeze! That it wonderful!
@AlohaKumu OMG, FET tomorrow! I’ve got everything crossed for you.
@wishiwaspreggo So sorry for the crappy news about YW’s AMH level. *hugs* I appreciate the offer for grant-writing help! I do have some experience with grant-writing (I’m an academic), but it never hurts to have an extra pair of eyes look it all over!
@rallykat14 Here’s hoping all looks good for your donor!
@beachbunnyxo123 Wow, that FET is really coming up soon! One more month! I’m so excited for you. We would be OOP for IVF, but insurance covers 80% for IUIs (up to 5k per year). With our finances, we just can’t cover IVF OOP. I’m going to keep on researching those grants!
@lurvleybunchococonuts Thanks, friend. *hugs* to you too.
@shortstack930 That is an amazing number of eggs! Woohoo!
@dragonette505 Thank you. That legit made me tear up reading it. I don’t feel like much of a superhero lately. Glad you are continuing to heal!
@purplg8r All the hoops we have to jump through with insurance are such a pain! Hope everything goes smoothly and I’m glad you like the new doc!
@jrm_14 Major *hugs* to you. For my next IUI my RE will be measuring progesterone the morning of the IUI and the next morning to check O timing. She’s looking for me to not have O’d yet the morning of, but to have O’d by the next morning. She offered this option as a way of checking that we were timing the trigger correctly relative to the IUI. She said that checking progesterone mid-luteal phase is pointless (for figuring out timing) because it just tells you whether or not you O’d, not when.
