@jrm_14 - I'm so sorry about the negative beta moving forward, are they going to keep you on the same protocol? Or will they just do all injects the next time around? From what I remember, you were doing both letrozole and FSH, right?
Had my AMH drawn this morning. It takes 5-7 days to process so now I wait. Good thing about my long cycles is I won't miss anything while I wait for the results so, hooray.
@jrm_14 I’m so sorry for the negative beta. When I did IUIs I was never monitored after O, only before. I think because with the trigger they’re pretty sure about when you’ll O.
AFM: got our fertilization report! Out of the 17 eggs, 15 were mature and 13 fertilized!!!! I’ll get another call tomorrow with an update and they’ll let me know if we’re doing the transfer Thursday or Saturday.

AFM - Thanks all for the u/s wishes - just got home. The tech started with a regular u/s and pretty quickly in asked if I'd mind doing an internal one as well which put me on high alert. She was digging around pretty good on my left side and looking at the screen (after she left so I could get dressed) she had marked off a few grey/black areas so I am assuming she found something. She said my doctor will have the results in 2 days and would call if I need to go in before March (when me and my doctor had originally agreed to meet again after all testing was done). I am going to try and not stress over it and am failing already at not comparing my u/s pics to those on google because of course my mind immediately goes to worst case scenario! I wish u/s were easier to read and more obvious for commoners!
@elothair FX it is not anything bad! Leftie ovary can be more difficult to visualize with an external u/s & (sometimes even internal) due to the bowels. Hopefully she was marking off the corpus luteum or follicles & all is well.
@elothair I'm hoping everything is alright and that you get the results sooner rather than during your next appointment I hate when they don't bother to let you know results asap, good or bad.

@elothair Agree with jrm.. when we went for one of our monitoring while doing IVF I literally thought she was going push through me with that wand, she was having such a hard time finding my left one that she said they may not be able to do the ER she was also a bitch and I really Didn’t like her bedside manner. She looked pretty young so I’m assuming she’s a resident who just needs some fine tuning in how she talks to women when they’ve exhausted all their efforts to have a baby and are paying them thousands to help. She eventually found it after a few minutes of digging. OH best part was the day of my surgery 2 weeks ago she sat in with the doc doing it and was super nice in front of him I wanted To be like oh hey remember me the girl you told her ER might not happen... well you were the only Dr out of 5 THAT COULDNT FIND MY LEFT OVARY! I really really hope your ovaries have nothing to report.
@KristoKekerooni YAY FOR 8!!!! Hope you’re enjoying you vacay and are making the best of your situation!
I know this is the lamest toot of my own horn ever, but I need to tell the only people in the world who could possibly care: I DID MY OWN PIO SHOT TONIGHT!!!
@purplg8r I could have tried to get more PIO bottles from a local or mail-order pharmacy if my clinic couldn't get them, but I guess since PIO has a relatively short shelf life compared to other meds and it's in high demand, everyone has been running out quickly. @jrm_14 Luckily I have enough Estrace and PIO to last me for the 10 weeks that I'll hopefully need it. My clinic helped me stock up. Thanks for all the awesome pre-FET wishes. Less than 24 hours to go!

Minimal update on my side. My ovaries are still "deflating" so we're kind of dragging out feet for a bit until my body is ready for a FET. So tonight I will start progesterone supps until 2/16. On 2/19 I will go in for my actual baseline appt and she said my FET should be about 3 weeks after that! So mid-March FET is what it's looking like!!!! I also expressed my concern about the PIO and my husband not being around and how it's a looooong time to try and find someone to help me when I have no one close by to help if my husband isn't around. She said they only do PIO for like a couple of weeks? Which don't get me wrong...I'd rather take a couple of weeks over 10 or so, but I feel like everyone else doing this is doing the shots for much much longer. She said 6 days prior to FET and until a positive beta and then he switches us off to something else. Ok then! But at the same time, part of me is like why am I different from all my IVF ladies on here?
Update: Mid cycle U/S yesterday was a bummer. Apparently my left ovary is s-l-o-w-l-y growing 3 follicles (which is better than none of course). So I'm no where near ready with a 12+, 14 and 14+. My lining was 7.6 mm. I go back on Friday morning to see if I'm closer and maybe IUI this weekend. My right ovary was a rock star last month with a 14, 16, 17 on CD 12. Oh well.
ETA I don't want to use the word lazy for my left ovary since I have 3 follies growing which is amazing and I need to remember that.

@50Wife I think my protocol was always similar to that with PIO... One cycle I may have been 4 days before transfer to start so it sounds normal to me!
@RVAmom315 come on left ovary, pull your weight! I still continue to talk shit to my right one, which is essentially useless. And at my HSG the Dr kept saying how nice they look and my reply was "it's what's on the inside that counts, which is absolutely nothing" lol

ndz2018 better every day! elothair pretty good today! Those transvaginal US's are rough, but its pretty standard (unfortunately) because its the best way to see whats going on in there KristoKekerooni yay for the extra embies! AlohaKumu total bad *ass!!!! 50Wife honestly if the baby is strong supplementary progesterone is just an extra measure. Obviously with an FET you've absolutely got to start out with it because we are bypassing your bodies normal pathway, but once its a developing pg, your body is taking up the reins to supply progesterone. Clinical situations they always do the most... Once your placenta is there you dont really need supplementary hormones (unless your problem is a hormonal disorder). I think switching to another form of Prog is probably totes fine and if i ever had to do PIO, id ask to be switched too!
RVAmom315 yay ovaries! Hopefully you start picking up steam today... i find its like that till you get past single digits. My right ovary is def more chill than my left (which is my workhorse!) but you never know!
@AlohaKumu You are a straight up boss!!!! Amazing so proud of you! Good luck today!! Let us know how it goes!
@KristoKekerooni yasss I’m starting my meds on 2/16 too looks like we may be FET buddies!!!
AFM had an appointment with the surgeon today for my cervical dilation and hysteroscopy on Monday. He was very nice and is confident he’ll be able to widen my cervix for a smooth transfer. Now I wait for a phone call with my surgery time for Monday and I’m scheduled to start my FET meds on 2/16! Yay! They did push my FET back one day because I requested that whoever is doing my FET that they also do my mock transfer. Since some doctors haven’t been able to get my catheter in at all I want to make sure that the doctor doing the FET can confidently get in there with no issues. My RE, the surgeon, and the RE doing my transfer are all confident that the surgery will help to have a smooth transfer so I feel good about that!
AFM: got my update!! All 13 embryos are still growing and 9 of them look “really good”. I started my estrogen patches today and Crinone tonight. Transfer is scheduled for Saturday at 10am!!!

@KristoKekerooni YAY FOR 8!!!! Hope you’re enjoying you vacay and are making the best of your situation!

@KristoKekerooni Great update!
ETA I don't want to use the word lazy for my left ovary since I have 3 follies growing which is amazing and I need to remember that.

@RVAmom315 come on left ovary, pull your weight! I still continue to talk shit to my right one, which is essentially useless. And at my HSG the Dr kept saying how nice they look and my reply was "it's what's on the inside that counts, which is absolutely nothing" lol

elothair pretty good today! Those transvaginal US's are rough, but its pretty standard (unfortunately) because its the best way to see whats going on in there
KristoKekerooni yay for the extra embies!
