@mrsbubbles-2 thanks for the intel! That wouldn’t have even crossed my mind so I appreciate the details.
It was actually brought up my the US tech when I asked her if there were any “tricks” to predicting gender this early and she explained the theory (without giving it a name - I figured that out by googling) and told me that she would guess girl based on what she saw. So I went google crazy trying to understand it and came across the whole nub/ramzi theory. We have our next ultrasound at 19 weeks and will find out there. I agree that it’s just fun to speculate!
@69mil Thanks for being so cool about it! Sometimes people get super defensive about these topics and that's why the threads get shut down all the time. How cool that your US tech gave you a guess! It'll be fun to see if she's right. The wait is a killer and google is so not your friend right now lol! When I was pregnant with DS and we went in for our dating scan at 6w the US tech said "Oh - it's a boy! See how the embryo is right by the yolk sac? The boys always hang out by the fridge" Turns out she was right but that stuck with me until we did the genetic screening to find out for sure!
Baby! Crazy how much seeing your bub and seeing it move around melts your heart. I really felt connected to baby for the first time after seeing it this week! 12w 5 days. The last photo is the baby's melon head and profile, sucking it's thumb. Now just calling it melon head all day
New scan today! Exactly 12 weeks. I'd been pretty freaked out because my midwife couldn't find the heartbeat at our appointment on Wednesday. I was trying to stay calm, but really struggling with the recent losses on here. Luckily, the scan went great, and we could see the baby stretching out and wiggling around. The tech said my placenta is on top, so it was probably in the way for the Doppler. Either way, I am so relieved.
Had our second ultrasound today! Midwife couldn’t find the heartbeat Monday so we were a little nervous, but today the baby was kicking and dancing and literally waving at us in the second photo! It was so amazing!! Can’t wait to find out what we’re having on March 29th. I’m exactly 12 weeks today. Anyone else with a due date of August 17th? I love seeing everyone’s ultrasounds!
I switched because of the timing of appointments at the first place, then the place I switched to was TERRIBLE. The doctor insulted another doctor who performed a surgery he saw in my medical history (she was wonderful, imo), and he did one of the most half-assed breast exams which felt awkward (didn't even cover the whole thing or into the armpit area), and he did not at all respect my choice not to take a medication for nausea (because a friend of mine won in a class action case against the manufacturer because it caused her son to have a mental disability) and offered me no other options like diet. Needless to say i switched back to the original doctor because my husband and I are willing to live with the early appointments if there's a possibility of getting another doctor like that....
in conclusion lol I'd maybe try to talk with some doctors over the phone before switching around because what you end up with could be far worse than what you started with (reviews can't always be trusted, this particular doctor had definitely added some generic 5 star reviews, the only reviews that seemed real in retrospect were the negative ones, which seemed to reflect almost my exact experience.)

Baby A’s body and Baby B’s head at 10 weeks. Went to MFM specialist yesterday and found I am having high risk MoMo (Monochorionic Monoamniotic) twins. There heart beats were good and they were growing. Just have to take one day at a time.
@Secretstapler I wish they would warn more people about having an anterior placenta or a retroverted uterus and it might take longer to pick up the heartbeat on doppler. Both times my tech had actually mentioned it, so I wasn’t too scared when the OB couldn’t find it with doppler.
@lalala2004 I agree! Last time I had an anterior placenta, and they still found the heartbeat at 10 weeks. I admit, I never even thought about all of the other places the placenta could be that could make it difficult, so I was just clinging to the fact that my midwife said she wasn't worried at all.
This is my ultrasound from Jan 8. I measured 9 weeks, right on track! Strong heartbeat of 186. The baby kept moving but stopped every time the lady turned the monitor around
Baby looking beautiful and measuring right on track at 11w4d (ultrasound on Wednesday). It was so fun to see him/her looking more like a human!

I had my second ultrasound yesterday at 11w5days..... but was measuring at 12w4days this time! I am not sure that it would actually change my due date (not sure which dating they would consider more accurate!) but I am just sooooooooo happy to see a healthy growing baby!!! Baby is waving hello to everyone Just can’t get over how beautiful this baby is
I had my NT scan yesterday at 12 weeks. Baby looked awesome and was super active - even waved hello at one point! We're measuring a little ahead of schedule at 12+6 and I am so relieved to know everything is going well. It was so cool!

So beyond excited to share this! I got to see this little monkey a few days earlier than planned as the hospital had a cancellation and rang me ask if I wanted to attend a scan two days before the appointment and I jumped at the chance! It turns out that baby is measuring a little bigger than would be expected for my dates and we have a new due date: 19th of August and I am 12/3 weeks. Heartbeat is good and strong at 148 and the little monkey was dancing away. I also got the results back from my screening tests at the appointment and all is well, thank goodness! We are just going to announce it to our close family members at a little dinner on Friday night and then will probably tell our wider circle of family and friends in a post on social media but I wanted to announce it here because I have loved looking back through all of your announcements and scan pictures. ❤️
Is it bad I can't remember exactly how far along we are. Right about 11 weeks! Had a Apt today n got the chance to do a Quick US because Dr couldn't find the heartbeat with the Doppler. SO amazing seeing the little growing and wiggling around! My favorite is seeing the flicker of the heartbeat
@vellichor at my 12 week ultrasound with DD I got the exact same picture - she was just facing the other way! So when I was comparing the two photos I thought it was way too cute that they both decided to wave for their photos!!
I love looking at these! We had our NT scan and the baby measured 12w1d aligned with original due date. Heartbeat was 158bpm and the little one was moving a ton in there and waving the little hand! So amazing to see.
11w3d, measuring closer to 12 weeks. HB 168. We got to see two hiccups, a wave, and something that looked like an end of 'The Breakfast Club' pose. I think baby has upgraded from looking like a 'Peanuts' character to looking a little like Lord Voldemort.

Awe. I’m so happy for you!! Now you can (sorta) relax and just enjoy the miserableness that is pregnancy. Haha.
This is from Thursday 2/8. 10w4d according to EDD, I forgot to ask what the baby was actually measuring this time because DS (7) came with me. He had so many questions and I was too caught up in how sweet and curious he was! Should have our NT scan this week.
His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!
We we went in for the nuchal translucency test yesterday and got some great pics of the little nugget! You can see a little hand with 5 ginger sin he second one and seeing that really made it feel real. Tests came out all good so we are feeling at ease
What a wonderful relief to see the babe today! Loved the strong heart beat and seeing an actual baby in there! Gives me motivation to get through the rest of this sickness and exahstion
13w u/s last Monday.... Moving like crazy from right side at the start of the scan and moving all the way to hiding under my left hip bone upside down. 160bpm and so far healthy
