Today has been awful. Splitting headache, and puking all afternoon. No help from the drugs, though possibly because I can't hold them down. I've managed to also most of the day, but I'm not tired enough now, and I'll likely be up all night. On the whole things have been getting better, but the bad days are definitely worse!
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
@calimom2524 and here I was over here feeling good that I had only gained 6 lbs I had gained 10+ by now last time, and I started 5 lbs heavier, too.
This is between the two appointments! Total is more than that.
Totally misunderstood! I was sitting here like... That’s not a lot? My poor SIL said when she was pregnant with my niece she gained 10 lbs over the holidays and the doctor couldn’t believe it. Made her try a different scale and everything, then asked if she was constipated. So it could be worse
+1 on root beer being disgusting! Give me Coke any day.
But oh what I wouldn't give for a glass of wine at the moment...
My appointment went well this afternoon. It lasted literally 5 minutes. I've been seeing my doctor weekly since I'm high risk, though, so it basically goes "Still pregnant?" "Yep" "Good, stay pregnant" "Doing my best!" but I love him so it's fine haha.

BFP 2.28.17, EDD 11.8.17 - baby girl, miscarried at 11 weeks on 4.21.17 BFP 11.28.17, EDD 8.8.18, delivering in July - another rainbow baby boy!
I am majorly jealous of everyone finding out the sex. I won’t know until my anatomy scan and I’ve already decided I’m not finding out that day. I’m gonna have them put it in an envelope and I’m mailing it to my friend who makes most of mine and my kids clothes and she’s gonna make me either boy or a girl coming home from the hospital outfit and mail it to me! I told her she has to buy the fabrics now because the day she’s gets it she better start speed sewing lol
I’ve been lurking and lovetitting this evening. I got my roots done and a pedicure and after reading all the root beer float cravings, decided a blizzard from DQ on the way home was indeed a good idea.
My next ultrasound is tomorrow so keeping everything crossed all is well.
With the two losses lately I decided to pull out my Doppler and give it a try. There was a whole lot of my own heartbeat but for about 3 seconds I heard BK2 pounding away and it was music to my ears. I also had to use erm personal pleasure gel because it didn’t come with ultrasound gel. Whoops!

Bahahahaha well for future reference, aloe gel (that you put on sunburns) works perfectly well too

@elsieisamoocow noted! I’ll have to go pick some up! We used the last of ours this summer and I haven’t replaced it yet. I bet it’s cheaper than the fancy stuff right?

I majorly blew up at SO this evening. And even tho my two besties said yes he’s being a butt, I still overreacted. Hard to argue long distance. lol. Ended with apologies and lovies but I definitely overreacted and apologized like 10x. I feel bad for the old boy. I feel like I’m a bit more psycho this time around. Hahaha. Maybe old age. Old timers. Idk. Whoops. I feel so bad.
I'm also not a fan of root beer, or any soda/pop for that matter. Carbonation just makes me gassy and bloated. I tend to avoid it. Most of it is way to sweet for my taste anyway.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
It’s goin down over here y’all. I love that when I ask my brother to come home with root beer he doesn’t even question me. He doesn’t even know I’m pregnant yet.
@calimom2524 that is such a cute idea to find out the sex of the baby! This is our first time finding out (we were team green last time) and I'm starting to get really impatient! We are planning on getting an envelope and opening it over a nice dinner. I get so nervous in the anatomy scan I just want to enjoy the moment with DH.
I totally agree with those that think Root Beer is gross. It tastes like pepto-bismal to me.
It's picture day today, and some of my kids look so adorable. Lots of little guys in blazers and ties and all of my little girls in dresses. And me in a shirt that barely fits across the chest, looking like I just ate two burritos.

Good morning all! I hope everyone is off to a good day so far and sicknesses are better!
@dirtanddiamonds I feel like I’ve been crazy lately, too, and blowing up at DH for little stupid things. I always apologize but feel awful. It’s like I can’t control it. I’m sure your SO understands and loves you through all your mistakes.
@calimom2524 that looks delicious! Frosted mug and everything!!
Man I missed so much yesterday because I had actual work to do at work. Boo.
I agree about the losses. It's hard to see and it makes me nervous since my next appointment isn't until February 19. I just keep thinking good thoughts and try to stay positive.
I'm team root beer float, but I'm glad I didn't see that yesterday or I'd have been bugging DH to get the stuff for them. Although he did make cookie and cream milkshakes the other day, so I can't really complain.
@ecwk@lolog531 I’m with you two Root beer is gross and I
can’t believe I didn’t gag with all the
root beer talk I just scanned through. I’m
sorry @msmonalisavito but the only thing worse than root beer is cream
soda. Blech.
The recent losses hit me hard too and now I’m super anxious
for my appts next week. I haven’t had a
scan since 7+3 and I’ll be 12 weeks on Monday when I go for my genetic counseling
appt. They will do an ultrasound then
but from what I understand it will be quick and clinical with not a lot of
opportunity for me to see what’s going on.
Still, they will know if something has gone wrong. Tuesday is our appt with the OB and assuming
everything goes well we will start sharing after that.

Yayyyy!!! This means today I have 6 months to my due date. But at the same time I am already 14w1d so I am like, come on how am I only hitting 3 months now? HALF A YEAR more sounds sooooo long to me. Come on time, speed up!
Woke up with the flu. This past week saw co-workers left and right get sick, and it finally caught up to me. Have an ob apt, nt ultrasound and mfm apt scheduled for tomorrow, and i need to call to see if they want to/can reschedule or wear mask. Luckiy, so far dh has been spared.
DH went for his blood draw for genetic testing yesterday because I carry the gene for SLO. We should get his results on the 22nd. I'm trying not to worry about it because it's extremely unlikely that he's a carrier (the genetic counselor and my OB said not to worry at all), but between that and waiting for my appointment on the 12th (and my mom constantly bringing it up), I feel a little stressed. I just want it to be August.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@laurad75 at my 12 week she did a very quick scan and heartbeat which was reassuring, but no pics printed out ...boooo. I guess since the genetic blood draw replaced the genetic scan, my dr just does a 12 week one to reassure everyone or else it would be a long gap from 7 week ultrasound I had to the 20 anatomy scan. I do have a hb check at my next appt though.
@scottishlass1213 Yes, I'm prepared to not get a photo or anything and then when we meet with the OB the next day they are just going to listen to the HB with doppler. I was told the OB will do an ultrasound at 18 weeks. I don't need a photo, I just need to know everything is okay.

Ugh I just got a call that the tech who was supposed to do my NT scan today is sick and won't be able to do it. I am still going in to see my OB and hopefully can reschedule the scan for next week since I will be at 13/4 next Friday and I think they have to do it by 13/6. Irritating.

Totally get it - for me I didn't realize I wouldn't get a photo so I was a little bummed and wished I had recorded the ultrasound with my phone because he was moving so much and we had DS with us to see and get his reaction about it.
Would anyone be interested in a February Ask a S+TM Anything thread? We haven't had one in ages but we have the symptoms thread and the questions thread so not sure if it would be completely redundant?
@laurad - is your appt Monday your NT scan? I didn't have one with DS but my friend had one with her last and yes, it was clinical but they did print out one pic for her of the baby's profile! So maybe? Either way, totally understand the anxiety, and I hope for nothing but an amazing update!
