So sorry to everyone hit by the flu! DS had it over Xmas and it was so sad to watch him go through that. Fingers crossed it passes quickly for all of you.
Also I heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks yesterday! After previous losses and being high risk for blood clotting disorders this time, it was such a relief! I have an US next Monday to confirm dates and just do a quick check.
I didn’t do maternity photos last time and I won’t this time either, but I do want professional family pictures this summer (pre-baby) since DS will be turning 2. My SIL is an amateur photog so she did a couple newborn/family pictures for us last time and I love them. If she doesn’t do it again this time, I’ll hire someone to do DS and the new baby together.
Also I have a massage scheduled for Monday that I literally can’t wait for—no cancellations here!
I was an early flu person. Beginning of December. Freshly knocked up and it was killer but I didn’t do any tamiflu. Took a couple weeks but I survived. Barely. Lol.
@livinthesunnylife I was going to ask the same thing re movement bc I’m 12 weeks, 3 days and I swear I just felt flutters - similar to the sensation when your eye or a muscle twitches - for a few minutes!!!! I thought I was imagining things (or had very weird gas) but I read that it is totally possible for STM. Very exciting since I didn’t feel my first until I was 20 weeks or so! Has anyone else felt flutters this early?!
Supportive lovetits to all the sick kids and hubs. I really hope it passes quickly.
I think I’ve felt some flutters, too. DS put his hand on my tummy for the first time this evening and it was so sweet. I have another ultrasound on Thursday and I think I’ll go for the genetic testing again. May as well.
FML I was up all night puking. I prayed it was just MS or bad food but I feel like super shit. I'm the worst nauseous person ever and keep crying lol. AND DS daycare is by my work, an hour away, so I am going to have him home with me today. Uhhhhhhhh.
Last night I had a totally random grief attack for my grandpa. 2016 was tough I lost both of mine and DH lost his, but I don’t think about it all that often for some reason. It seriously came out of nowhere and I couldn’t stop crying. It was the weirdest thing and all DH did was go ‘soooo what’s going on here?’ (It was the middle of the night) and then asked if I wanted to snuggle. He has zero emotional coping skills so as much of an improvement as that was I just need you to hug me and not ask about it. Weird weird night.
August '18 March Siggy Challenge - You had ONE JOB
@Firemanswife11 Oh no! I'm so sorry! I hope it passes soon and that you can get some rest today with DS home!
@hardlyhannah That's so tough. Grief takes a long time to process and can pop up like that any time, completely out of the blue. I lost my mom in 2016 and it hits so hard sometimes that it takes over everything. I'm so sorry for your loss. That's wonderful that your DH gave you what you needed. Hugs!
It is 9:30 and both boys are still in bed! DH hasn’t slept past 7am since I’ve known him. I just went upstairs and saw the guest room door open so I popped in. He said he feels tired still, but better than yesterday.
DS has been sleeping since 7:30 last night! I heard him cough a few times, and he stirred a few times this morning, but no wake ups! He has a sippy of water with him, so hopefully he’s taking sips to avoid getting dehydrated. I’m debating on how long I let him sleep though?! Or if I just let him be.
I am trying to get some work done from home since month end is my busiest time. I am slo enjoying a quiet house because this NEVER happens!!!
Oh man! So sorry to all of you who are dealing with sick kids and hubbys. No fun! Hope everyone starts feeling better soon. @hardlyhannah , Sounds like 2016 was a tough year! I'm so sorry for your losses. I really hope your grief can turn to peace and that this year (and new baby!) bring you much healing.
Well DS spiked around 104.3 last night and I think that was him breaking his fever cuz now it’s down around 100.5. FX he’s on the mend, he’s so whiny and driving me crazy!! Thanks for asking @mrsbubbles-2
I feel like I'm the only person with no bump yet and it's making me nervous. I feel like I'm just a little bloated looking, but not pregnant looking. I've only gained about two pounds, which I know is in the realm of normal. I'm just freaking out that I still have no bump to share!
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@jsnakehole You're a FTM! Enjoy that your stomach muscles are still strong and happily holding everything in. My blump is definitely showing much faster the second time. I was in your position last time, I remember wondering when I would get a bump
@jsnakehole I have no bump and what I do have is from eating bagles and cream cheese almost every morning. I have no use for the maternity jeans I bought out of excitement but our time will come.

@jsnakehole with my first, I wore my prepregnancy jeans until 24-26 weeks, and only then starting just undoing the button. By the time 40 weeks came, I was all made up for it. Hahaha.
Nowadays I “pop” after a good meal. Even not pregnant. Lol
and my bestie who’s pregnant with number 3, she’s still a freak of nature, barely showing at 20 weeks.
@jsnakehole , With my first I never had to wear maternity clothes. I didn't show until nearly 30 weeks. With each consecutive pregnancy I show earlier and earlier. I'm on #4 now and haven't lost baby weight from DD yet... I've looked pregnant for far too long.
My pants were too tight, so I did buy a pair of maternity jeans. I mostly wear leggings every day. I'm just worried I'm not popping because something's not right. Which is my assumption about everything. The sky is cloudy- something's not right! I saw a black cat- somethings not right!

@hardlyhannah I lost my grandmother last year and it hit me again a few weeks ago after months of "feeling okay" with it all. My husband is a semi-robot when it comes to emotion, so it can be tough sometimes to explain why I am upset so randomly. Hope you are feeling better today and that you continue to heal.
I'm a FTM and totally bumping at 12.5 weeks. I feel like I exploded practically overnight this last weekend. @jsnakehole your time will come! Enjoy getting to wear your normal clothes!
@jsnakehole I have an awesome picture of myself when I was 16 weeks with DD1 that I think was intended to be a bump pic but when I look at it now it is insane and my stomach is still completely flat. Spoiler alert: that has not been the case the second and third times around.
So this morning I noticed a smell in my car similar to what a milk cup left in a car for a few days smells like and panicked. I went to my third row and found a spilled milkshake all over the cup holders. Would have been pretty cool if DS had told me it happened when it happened. Cue vomit in the parking lot trying to clean it up.
Oh no @calimom2524 today is not your day! I really hope it picks up this afternoon.
Haha thank you! I'm surprisingly in a good mood all things considered. I have an OB appt this afternoon so I think that's what's getting me through. Plus I'm wearing neon pink shoes again, you can't be angry when you're wearing neon pink shoes.
So jealous of all of you who are wearing maternity jeans! I can't find any I like! What are your favorites? I have some motherhood maternity ones being delivered Saturday and am PRAYING they fit, cause oh my gosh I'm so uncomfortable.
Also, I finally found the baby's heartbeat this morning on my doppler at 11w2d! So fun!

@Funnygirl34 I got some from Old Navy (the Rockstar ones with the low front panel) and am liking those the best by far, my Motherhood ones kept slipping down and irritating me. I don't really have any hips so that may be the problem.

TTC #1 October 2017: BFP on 12/1/2017, DD born 7/24/2018 @ 37+1 after induction due to preeclampsia
TTC #2 January 2020: AMA, dx with DOR in May 2020
IVF July 2020: 16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 12 fertilized, 3 blasts, 2 PGT-A normal
FET 10/7/20: BFP on 10/12/20!!! (EDD 6/25/21); First beta 10/16/20 (9dpt): 148; Second beta 10/19/20 (12dpt): 621; Third beta 10/26/20 (19dpt): 4732; Fourth (and final!) beta 11/2/20 (26 dpt): 22,000+
@Funnygirl34 - Ditto about Old Navy, I'm wearing that pair today. I got a few pairs from Target that have the smaller band that I like for early on but I like the full band for later in pregnancy. I have 1 pair that I got from Pink Blush that I'm ok with, they're just a tiny bit too short so I have to be careful with what shoes I wear with them.
I was wondering about the Old Navy rockstar jeans. I have them in non-maternity and like them. I need to do something - walking around with my jeans unbuttoned just isn’t ideal.
I had an OB appointment this morning. When I got home, DS1 (he’s 4) ran over and said, “WHERE’S BABY?!” I told him I wasn’t bringing baby home today, it was in my belly. And he said, “What?! You told me a million times you were going to the doctor for baby!” I’ll have to watch my phrasing.
