DH just showed up at my desk with oranges because I texted him having a meltdown because I forgot mine this morning Eff flowers, he knows the way to my heart!
@mrsbubbles-2 That's so adorable! My whole last pregnancy I only asked DH to get me something once (Root beer float stuff) and he wouldn't. So I went out an bought myself a case of root beer and whole tub of icecream and really enjoyed eating it all myself and not letting him have any.
@mrsbubbles-2 yeah me too, darn it for making me remember that. We have ice cream in the office.....but no root beer..... We have diet coke or Dr Pepper..... It could satisfy the urge? lol
Holy crap! March is only 5 months away from August. I feel like ish just got real. Also, the orange delivery is the cutest thing ever but thanks to @livinthesunnylife I now require a root beer float.
Oooh, Dr Pepper and ice cream sounds fantastic! Where is that cravings thread lol! I haven't been able to open it because stupid nausea but now I want all the things!
@calimom2524 - 5 months... that was my first thought too! Then my second was holy crap we have so much to do and only 5 months to do it!!! Ok Bubbles, calm down!
Ooh thanks for the suggestions on the maternity jeans! I have a couple pairs of Paige but they slip down whenever I bend down or walk and it's annoying me like crazy.
I took advantage of some online sales over the past couple of days and ordered some new maternity shirts from Pink Blush, Gap/Old Navy, and some shirts and shorts from Motherhood because all of my favorite maternity stuff is winter and no way will I survive a SoCal summer (last summer was 110+ for majority of the summer) without tanks and shorts!

BFP 2.28.17, EDD 11.8.17 - baby girl, miscarried at 11 weeks on 4.21.17 BFP 11.28.17, EDD 8.8.18, delivering in July - another rainbow baby boy!
Too funny about the root beer float - I actually had one last night! It was amazing. I only buy those teeny tiny little 8 oz cans of pop though (trying to be "good") , which was most definitely not enough. I probably could have guzzled a float made with a 2 liter.

Omg. Your "pop" just made me smile. I know you don't live there anymore but I miss the Chicago area so much!
One of my kids had a chicken nugget Lunchable today, so DH tried to get me McDonald's nuggets but my lunch is too early. He tried to beg them and said his pregnant wife will kill him, but it didn't work. So I had an egg mcmuffin and an apple pie.

I'm so confused by the last few comments about August being in 5 months... August is 6 months away!! Now I am second-guessing myself but 1) counting on my fingers from Feb 1 to August 1 is 6 months, and 2) I am due August 1st and as of tomorrow that will officially be 6 months away/ so in my mind I will be 3 months pregnant (I am already 14 weeks so that seems late to hit the 3 month mark but here we are).
Addition to my last comment: I see now that it was because someone said MARCH is 5 months away from August. Makes more sense... I do often wish it was going faster!
I think the confusion is because months were being counted from March to August, since the March BMB just had their first birth and it's quite common to see births a month or more before their EDD. That's how I read it, anyway!
I'm glad I could make everyone else crave a root beer float!
And on the timing thing, it doesn't matter. I was due on the 14th of the month last time and I was the 3rd to last kid born in our BMB. So.....this time being due on the 24th I know I'll just be sitting here watchin all the cute little squishies appear, impatiently waiting. I swear some people snuck into a later BMB just cause they liked having the older kid....
These losses are hitting me hard. I'm both thankful and terrified I have an appt this afternoon.
Same. Mine is in 2.5 hours and now can't come soon enough.

Mine isn't until February 12th and it's freaking me out. I really don't want to wait that long but that's the next time they can see me. I'll be 11 weeks and change by then.

I agree - we had a little lull in the losses I feel, then lately it's been a few right together. Super scary and heartbreaking.
Ooo I have root beer at home! But no ice cream I may need to rectify that tonight. H is making some healthy salmon thing for dinner, so that will definitely need to be balanced out with some sugary goodness.
Ugh, it's so sad to see the recent losses. I hate it so much. I have my first trimester screening Friday and am officially freaking out.

The losses are simply awful. Especially considering how close to second tri most here are. It's very scary and it's very heartbreaking. Looking forward to positive updates from those of you with upcoming appointments. My NT scan is on Tuesday and I am getting more and more nervous. I ask DS what's in my belly and he says "uh oh" - which I know means nothing but of course made me paranoid. However when I ask him am I having a boy or girl he says "two" but there is only one there!! lol
Whoa, this is my first time here on my laptop and it's like a whole new world. Loving the siggies!
DD2 was up from 2:30am-4am and then only napped for 1.5 hours. I.Am.Exhausted. I stayed home with her today but DH is going to have to start using some of his days if either of them get sick again. I need my days AND my students don't learn when I'm not there.
And yes to the heartbreak of the losses. I can't even imagine what they are going through.
I don’t know who’s whinier - a sick toddler or a sick DH. Both are fever free and slept a lot of the day, but still super cranky and whiny when awake! Just put DS to bed and I told DH to go to bed. I have to go to the office tomorrow, so I need him rested to be with DS. I now am going to watch something lighthearted on Netflix and I so wish I could pour a glass of wine right now!
@lakesideknitter I asked my husband for a third dog, but he said "no." I asked for a kid, and that he agreed to. I probably wouldn't have gotten pregnant if he'd agreed to the dog!

@derbysquirrel Yeah, pretty much same here! He says we can't get a dog until DS is old enough to take care of it. Boooooooooooooooo. We all know I'm gonna be taking care of it anyways, so why wait?

The losses are incredibly sad. I can’t imagine. I had my appointment this morning and it took about 4 minutes for my OB to find the heartbeat, so those mamas were running through my head. My doctor told me not to freak out, but after all that time I certainly was. Baby was just positioned higher in my abdomen than he expected at this point in pregnancy. Phew...
