Had my ER today and they retrieved 7 eggs!!!! I feel so relieved and am very thankful!! Still feel a little out of it but will be back to catch up on the thread later!
@kristimh80 I hear it’s the best sleep I’ll ever have. I might even go to March as well. I’m waiting for my dr to let me know what the best protocol for me. Happy to be on he journey with you

Got my fertilization report today and feeling pretty bummed out. Out of my 8 eggs only 5 were mature and only 3 fertilized. Tomorrow they'll call to say whether we'll do a day 3 transfer or wait until day 5 for possible blasts. I have the feeling something is wrong with my protocol as they had a hard time with getting the eggs out this time and both now and on my first IVF I had a bunch of immature eggs. I started looking for some possible doctors for second opinion.
@sidilly So sorry you're having to go thru this! Sending prayers that the 3 you have make it and will be good to go for transfer!!

@kiwi2628 I know it’s so hard to stay positive. Out of 7 embryos, we only had two blasts, and they were fairly low quality/grade. We transferred one and froze one to avoid a 30% chance of twins. With the embryo we transferred they only gave it a 35% chance of pregnancy. THis weekend I was super down. So....I don’t have any advice I just wanted to let you know I feel the same way.

@sidilly i'm rooting for the three eggos that were able to fertilize and hoping they keep progressing to day 3 and day 5 if that's what your doctor recommends. I'm not sure if @hoping4lilbit is lurking, but you might ask her for some insight. it looks like she transferred two day 3 eggos. in my reading, it definitely seems like the science is still limited in developing consistent quality cultures that the blastocysts grow in. I read that the nutrients in the cultures can't always support growth past day 3 or 4, so putting them back in earlier could be more beneficial if you have fewer eggs to "spare" to day 5.
@efavell02 i was thinking about you this weekend. i saw your update on the google sheet and my heart sank that more embryos didn't make it to freeze. i know where my mind wants to take me so i can only imagine the emotions you felt this weekend. infertility is a major bitch and it makes me upset that so many women are coping with it, and often in isolation from friends/family. your online family is here for you and we will keep the hope alive for you and your little bean even if you're feeling down.
@sidilly, @northbeach3 is right. I had 7 retrieved. Only 3 fertilized - 1 that was mature at retrieval, and 2 that matured after retrieval. The mature one had only divided to 3 cells by day 3. The other two were at 7 and 8 cells. My dr. recommended doing a day 3 transfer because he wasn’t confident that my embryos would make it to blast by day 5. He said they had a better chance inside my uterus than in the lab. I’m still waiting to hear back about my other embie to see if it ever made it to blast and can be frozen. Not sure if any of that is helpful. Just know that I’m right there with you.
had a chance to catch up on the other excitement from earlier in the day.

Thanks everyone! I am feeling a bit better- what will be will be, and I can't change it now. @efavell02 I am sorry you feel similarly. Wouldn't it just be nice to be one of those people who gets pregnant in their first or second go and never had to think about any of this? Ugh. FX for both of us!
Fingers crossed for everyone who had their transfer and are waiting for good news, and good luck to those that are ready for ER or transfer!
AFM, transfer complete. I had 2 of the 7 that fertilized make it to A grade. One of them was transferred and the other frozen today. The doctor said he is expecting 2 more to get where they need to be to be able to be frozen tomorrow. FX. I didn’t get a chance to ask the nurse about what they mean by bed rest today and tomorrow. That just means take it easy right and not literally stay in bed??
@laurengon82 my doc called it "modified bed rest" ... walking around the house to/from kitchen/bathroom is okay, but nothing that would bounce your hair if it were in a pony tail. so no vacuuming! pick a show you haven't see and have a binge marathon!
@northbeach3 "nothing that would boune your pony tail" lol idk what that made me giggle!!

Thanks for being so supportive everybody! Out of my 3 fertilized today 3 are still growing and between 6 and 8 cells. My doctor was pretty adamant about doing a day 5 transfer so we'll be transferring on Friday if they are still alive by then. The clinic won't be checking on the embryos until transfer day.
@kiwi2628 yeah sometimes at night i "think" i feel things but try to write it off as gas. i've had several cycles where i swore i was experiencing pregnancy symptoms (fatigue, frequent peeing, nausea) but never a BFP... i then wondered if i was having a psychosomatic reaction from so much wishing it to be pregnancy. i still look for implantation bleeding every time i wipe, but nada. it's really problematic bc i get a twinge of sadness every time.
speaking of bodily symptoms, i remember lots of people saying they started experience breast tenderness soon after trigger. anyone still experiencing this pain? mine as in the form of sore nipples and it's been that way since trigger shot. again, my mind wants to read into things, but i assume it's from all the progesterone.
okay, so i googled implantation cramping (again) ... and found some quotes from this article to be very reassuring and i'll try to remind myself of this when i get in my head and tell myself to stop trying to read into every little feeling.
Although it is not the norm, some women experience these sensations. Medically speaking, the action itself should not be easily felt as the embryo itself is only 2 millimeters.
Implantation cramping, although some women feel it, is for most women imperceptible.
While its intensity should be low, the sensation also depends on each woman’s pain threshold. Some women may refer to it as being unpleasant, but most will say that it is mild and bearable. After all, it is a process that usually goes undetected.
Your pregnancy begins at the implantation of the embryo. This takes place at a cellular level, which is why so few women are actually aware of it.
Hello everyone! I started ivf this month and I was wondering if I can join . About us: we are 36 and is first ivf. We started bruselin(50) on 9th and then on 17 we started global f 112.5 + bruserin 25. We had first scan (day 5 on stims)on 22/01 I had 8 follicle on right and 10 on left measuring between 10_13, and my linen was 5.8.today i will have my second scan followed by a scan on friday and er on monday if everything goes well. Is what they told me when i had the appoiment and i know this could change. Some tips from my experience: i found it if i didnt drink enough water i had headaches with the injections _ so drink plenty. - if you use an ice pad before injection you won't feel a thing - sometimes after injection you fell ichy and stinging but if you apply a thiny patch ( I used children patch with animals_ to make it funny) you won't feel it. Good luck everyone and hope we will have good news
@northbeach3 Thanks!! I’m sitting in the waiting room now waiting for it to start!

Hi ladies. So I ha my scan today. I have 6 on right side 14, and6 on left between 12-14. They said everything is ok and they won't change the dosage. I am a bit confused about the scan as at last one they said I had 8 follicle on right and 10 on left, maybe today they told just the bigger ones who knows. 12 is a good number marfi236 congrats. Good luck for the ladies with betha and baby dust for all of us
AFM ultrasound today showed 2 on the right and 1 on the left between 11 & 13. With the 4 on the left and 3 on the right that were the dreaded "less than 10". Got the call from the nurse that my estrogen is good and I'm just a "late bloomer". I'm a grower not a shower ladies. She said that everything is there and going in the right direction but its just taking longer, which is what happened last time so my RE is not too concerned. meds are staying the same and I'm back for bw and us on Friday.
AFM 1st sono since starting Stims. Everything looks good and responding to meds well. She counted 17 on the left and 6 on the right but there were also around 12 smaller one's lingering around too. I'm waiting for them to update my IVF portal with exact #'s. Said had one around a 13, but will go back Friday. I think today it finally hit me this was really happening!

@sidilly sorry to hear about things. Wishing you all the best. Sometimes a second opinion is worth it
@beachbunnyxo123 thank you. I never had anesthesia so I was worried about it. I know it will be fine in the end.
Is anyone else playing the game 'is that implantation cramping or do I have to poop?'
AFM it's Day 5 and I'm just starting to have pain at injection sites. Anyone have some tricks for relieving pain after?
speaking of bodily symptoms, i remember lots of people saying they started experience breast tenderness soon after trigger. anyone still experiencing this pain? mine as in the form of sore nipples and it's been that way since trigger shot. again, my mind wants to read into things, but i assume it's from all the progesterone.
good luck with ER tomorrow, @marfi236!
FX crossed for your betas tomorrow, @hoffmanr7 and @halfanewt! pins and needles!

selected quotes (with emphasis added):
- Although it is not the norm, some women experience these sensations. Medically speaking, the action itself should not be easily felt as the embryo itself is only 2 millimeters.
- Implantation cramping, although some women feel it, is for most women imperceptible.
- While its intensity should be low, the sensation also depends on each woman’s pain threshold. Some women may refer to it as being unpleasant, but most will say that it is mild and bearable. After all, it is a process that usually goes undetected.
- Your pregnancy begins at the implantation of the embryo. This takes place at a cellular level, which is why so few women are actually aware of it.
Hope this helps y'all too!dx: PCOS, low progesterone; 2 MMC

- if you use an ice pad before injection you won't feel a thing
- sometimes after injection you fell ichy and stinging but if you apply a thiny patch ( I used children patch with animals_ to make it funny) you won't feel it.
Good luck everyone and hope we will have good news

@marfi236 12 eggs that’s great, congrats!
@marfi236 12 is a great number!!
@mage14 and @kristimh80 add me to the late Jan fun too!
