My random for now is very whiny...i don't want to get of the couch right now and go to work Feel like baby is crowding the crap out of my lungs today and I have a low level migraine... #badcaseofthemondays
@ftm_ohio i hope LO stops crowding your lungs! Lord knows it sucks when that happens.
My random: i finally busted out the breathe right strips last night. I am quite the hot mama let me tell you! The good news is i could breathe all night and when i woke up this morning.
@ftm_ohio I don't think that's whiny at all. Migraines are a new phenom to me as a pregnant lady and they are awful. Huge compassion to anyone dealing with them regularly.
I could barely get out of bed either this morning! I keep having to remind myself to pace myself, I"m only at 6 months and things are probably NOT going to get more comfortable...Hang in there lady!
@ftm_ohio I feel the same this morning. Took all my willpower to not call out sick. Of course I was still late to work
@beach_mama I am in serious need of breathe right strips. I have been straight up mouth-breathing the past 2 weeks; the congestion is real. Thanks for the unintentional reminder to pick some up today!!
My random... what are people’s thoughts on doing a monthly symptoms thread? We haven’t been keeping up with a weekly lately and I think a lot of symptoms talk ends up in randoms or other threads. I’ve noticed in my lurking of March and February BMBs that they’ve been doing monthly ones. Maybe it’s not even necessary at this point? End Monday morning ramble
@ftm_ohio short people problems here, little one is constantly pushing on my diaphragm too! I swear I need to do back bends over a yoga ball nightly to catch my breath! Taking the stairs leaves me huffing and puffing! I feel your pain!
@frenchiekinplusone I think a monthly symptoms would be good! Things get weird in the third trimester and a symptoms thread would keep it contained to one place.
@frenchiekinplusone I would be hugely in support of a monthly symptoms thread. As a FTM, all symptoms so far have been weird to me and I'm sure that just accelerates as we get closer to the due date.
I would much prefer hearing about symptoms from this very funny group than reading the saccharine descriptions in the bump app. Stop trying to make the increasing vaginal discharge cuter than the latest Reese Witherspoon movie set in the south for goodness sakes.
@beach_mama glad the strips helped you. I have a feeling none of us are feeling particularly "hot" at this point
@stalkinghorse I have a migraine condition that has VASTLY improved since getting pregnant, so I REALLY shouldn't complain because I know how much worse they can get (aka so bad I had to leave my job as an RN) but I also get them so infrequently now that each one seems worse than it is.
I'm dying laughing at your comment about making vaginal discharge cute! Some days I don't even read my articles on TB!
my random is that nausea has returned today. Not sure if it’s here to stay or what the deal is but I am not feeling it. Inhaling all the ginger candies. Also I can’t focus at work despite a pile of stuff to do- hence all the back to back posting.
@stalkinghorse That cracked me up. The discharge is a PROBLEM. I feel like i always have a wet spot, even if I’m wearing a full pad!
My random is I’m struggling to find a cute maternity swimsuit. We are taking DD to an indoor water park for a long weekend for her birthday and I don’t want to look totally ridiculous. A lot of the suits are too matronly or ruffly. My belly is always bruised from my insulin shots so I definitely need something to cover that and two piece because I am not wrestling with a full wet bathing suit every 23 minutes. But the thought of floating on the lazy river right now is sooooo nice.
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
@Mattel I’m not sure what their selection is like right now, but I found super cute tankinis at Motherhood during my last pregnancy (so, a year ago...ha). I’m not a cutesy ruffly person either, and they had nice, basic suits you could mix and match. Might be worth a shot!
@kmalls@peppersmith22 I tried both Target and Motherhood. Didn’t really like anything I may just be too picky and need to suck it up. I really want shorts bottoms because T. rex arms plus a giant belly make any sort of grooming near impossible. I did find this on Amazon that i really like but the reviews are crap and the sizing is totally bizarre.

@mattel That's cute! Honestly I wore a bikini with regular athletic shorts my last pregnancy but I'm not sure if they allow you to do that at the water park. We were just at the beach. Old Navy has two tankini styles online and they are 20% off today. Not quite as cute as this one though!
@Mattel last time I just bought a regular one-piece in a size larger and it did the trick, even up till the end (I swam laps the day DD was born to try to get her out).
My random is Hamilton tickets just went on sale in my city today at 10 am. I logged on at 10:03 ... and there are 152,000 people in front of me to buy. Looks like it's not happening
@mattel we took our kids swimming this weekend. I wore some black sweat shorts (not official swim wear) and a bathing suit top that still fit and I liked. I am so picky about bathing suits and I'm plus sized. I just have a hard time finding something I like and fits. But I was tired of missing out on fun with my kids.
@mountainsmama uh I'm not looking forward when Hamilton comes in to my town and the fiasco of tickets happens. I have season tickets so i'm able to buy before they go on sale to the public so i'm sure I will have a lot of people hitting me up to score some. Hopefully you are able to get some.
@Mattel Could you buy separates with plain black shorts in non-maternity and a maternity tankini? That's what I did during my pregnancy with DS1. Both pieces were from Target so I was able to try them on together.
Any STM+ have any recommendations for online partner birthing classes? I most likely won't be able to get DH to go to a hospital or in-classroom type class, but could probably get him to sit through an online one with me.
@scuba_chic does your hospital offer any? I know mine has one that can be done online. No clue what it's like cause I didn't take it but I would say it could be the same slide deck that was shown at the classroom training.
Thanks ladies! I will check all of those. I think I have a black shirt style bottom I can still wear and find a maternity top. Great suggestions!
@mmmmkay I have the long U shaped one. I sleep on my side with my head on the closed end with another pillow. I put one ‘leg’ of the U between my knees, a pillow under my feet and a soft pillow under my belly to hold it up. Lol. I am buried in pillows by the time I’m comfortable.
I have another random I have to share because I’m so freaking excited. I just scored this chair for the nursery on clearance at Target for $137. I don’t know if it’s just my Target but they are doing a reset or something and they have tons of clearance throughout the whole store right now
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
@mattel i love that chair!! We got a target rocker for my 2016 son, and it's our favorite chair in the house. I was just asking my dh if we could get another. Im going to run by out target tomorrow. That is a great deal.
@mmmmkay I also have the same Snoogle you linked to and I just couldn’t make it work. I hate how much of the bed it takes up and changing positions while sleeping was such a pain. Too hard to get comfortable. I just bought this Boppy side sleeper one which is obviously way smaller. It’s working pretty well so far and prevents me from waking up flat on my back. I put a regular pillow between my knees. God I miss normal sleep.
@frenchiekinplusone i've never even heard of those! that looks like it might work better ( with a pillow between my knees too and then my normal pillow for my head ( as i think part of my neck pain is from having this weird other pillow instead of or with my normal pillow. ) thanks!
Anyone have magic cradle cap remedies? DS (2) STILL has it. He’s got too much hair and is too active for me to do softening treatments on the scales and pick it off like I did when he was a baby. Ped keeps shrugging and saying to try head and shoulders (which did work when he was a baby) but he’s too wiggly in the bath now for us to keep the water out of his eyes, and there’s no no tears version. Going to the dermatologist this week for it, just wondering if there are some home remedies I haven’t found on google...
@mmmmkay yeah the snoogle was giving me neck pain too. I think it was too firm for me. I ended up turning it so the hook part of the C was between my knees and the other end was at my end, and I pushed the head part out of the way so I could just use my regular pillow. As I said, pain in the ass haha
@Puddlewonderful my 19 month old still sort of has it. we just use regular baby shampoo but leave it on in the bath for a bit, then comb her hair while still in the bath with a.... wait for it. cat flea comb!
#momfail tonight. DD came home from daycare in a mood from you know where. After refusing all items for dinner, I finally got her to eat raisin bread, a cheese stick and yogurt. Not the most balanced meal but I just needed her to eat something.
@Puddlewonderful DD had it really bad. We stick to California Baby Shampoo and let it sit for a minute and then take one of those hard tooth combs they give you at the hospital once the baby is born and comb her hair. It's what worked for us. We did use coconut oil to try and soften the cradle cap for a bit but that's a little harder to wash out of a squirmy toddler. Hope you get some answers from the dermatologist! https://www.californiababy.com/products/super-sensitive-shampoo-bodywash
