This is VERY random but it has me so excited. There is a bill at the state level in Indiana that will allow alcohol sales on SUNDAY! I know it's probably strange to hear because it seems all other states allow carryout alcohol sales on Sunday, but Indiana is very behind the times. So far that bill has gone further in the voting process in the senate then it ever has and by a good majority. I really hope it passes because it will be so great to be able to buy some alcohol on Sundays. The closer I get to the end of this pregnancy the sooner my lips get to taste the cold delicious taste of beer. Because the past week has been a rough one and it would have been nice to have a little drink to take the edge off.
Ohio had that law 10 years ago when I lived there, at the time I thought it was odd. They must have changed it.
I grew up in Wyoming and they have a law that no one can sell alcohol in grocery stores or convienance store, or even the bowling alley. I never knew this was different from other states until I was in college and a friend told me it was odd. Now that I have lived in other states it feels odd to me to see liquor in stores even though I know it's the norm.
Yes I'm all for it but I usually don't watch it until the next day cause I record it and MH doesn't like watching it, so I watch it before he gets home from work
@dumbgurl04 I'm from part of PA where you can buy beer on Sunday, but not much else since everything closes! We don't have alcohol in grocery stores or gas stations yet but that's supposed to be changing soon.
I'd participate in a This Is Us thread but I haven't watched the episode yet either. DH watches it with me and calls it the 'crying show' and 'all the feels' . He says he doesn't enjoy it... but it's one of the few shows he sits and watches without playing on his phone or tablet or other device... so I know otherwise !

Had my glucose test this morning. Yeah, it's still awful. I had convinced myself that it wasn't that bad but holy hell the after effects... I did not pack enough protein for breakfast and lunch today to counteract the sugar overload! Yuck yuck yuck. FX I never ever have to do that crap again.

Side note- did anyone watch wisdom of the crowd? It was cancelled bc of Jeremy piven sexual misconduct allegations and low viewership but damn that show was good....
Yall are making me want to watch This Is Us. I was trying to wait until a few more seasons were out so I could binge watch it. I know it sounds stupid but I'm too impatient for for breaks like summer.
@ladythrice what did you feel? I did mine last weekend, and a little bit after I left (luckily I was in the drive thru at McDonald's at the time), I got SO HOT...like sweating, windows down and ac on hot in winter. Like I was gonna be on my way to passing out.
I of course found out I failed it, so now I have to do a 3 hr test and I don't want it to happen again. This one has to be fasting. Meh.
Has anyone used liquid iron supplements? I saw OB today (not my primary) and he said that may cause less constipation. There are lots of options on Amazon, but different types. I left VM at OB office to see which I can use, but curious if anyone has personal experience.
@psuxray07 NOOOO DON'T TELL ME THAT! I had the shakes, light headedness, foggy mind, almost drunk feeling (slow to react, couldn't process thoughts quickly, etc). My OB actually asked if I was okay to drive... /sigh

@g_amoss I have been on off anemic and have not found any supplements that are GI friendly for me. I usually ditch them altogether and supplement via diet making sure to incorporate dark leafy greens with vitamin c (usually oj but could be other fruits or veggies like red peppers). I also upped my meat intake and ate a lot of fortified cereal and oatmeal.
@mikkimikey I think I've said this before but I need you to teach me your amazing parenting ways. I would be so stinking proud if one of my children wrote this, holy majole!!!!
