  • @beach_mama glad the strips helped you.  I  have a feeling none of us are feeling particularly "hot" at this point  :D

@stalkinghorse I have a migraine condition that has VASTLY improved since getting pregnant, so I REALLY shouldn't  complain because I know how much worse they can get (aka so bad I had to leave my job as an RN) but I also get them so infrequently now that each one seems worse than it is.

I'm dying laughing at your comment about making vaginal discharge cute! Some days I don't even read my articles on TB!

@frenchiekinplusone I think a monthly symptoms thread is a great idea!

@riversdoctor yes girl, 5'2" over here!! This little boy is out of room!
  • @frenchiekinplusone I agree a monthly symptoms thread would be helpful!

my random is that nausea has returned today. Not sure if it’s here to stay or what the deal is but I am not feeling it. Inhaling all the ginger candies. Also I can’t focus at work despite a pile of stuff to do- hence all the back to back posting.
  • @Mattel I’m not sure what their selection is like right now, but I found super cute tankinis at Motherhood during my last pregnancy (so, a year ago...ha). I’m not a cutesy ruffly person either, and they had nice, basic suits you could mix and match. Might be worth a shot!
  • @mattel Did you try target online?
  • @kmalls @peppersmith22 I tried both Target and Motherhood. Didn’t really like anything I may just be too picky and need to suck it up. I really want shorts bottoms because T. rex arms plus a giant belly make any sort of grooming near impossible. I did find this on Amazon that i really like but the reviews are crap and the sizing is totally bizarre.

    Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!

  • @mattel That's cute! Honestly I wore a bikini with regular athletic shorts my last pregnancy but I'm not sure if they allow you to do that at the water park. We were just at the beach. Old Navy has two tankini styles online and they are 20% off today. Not quite as cute as this one though!
  • @Mattel last time I just bought a regular one-piece in a size larger and it did the trick, even up till the end (I swam laps the day DD was born to try to get her out).

My random is Hamilton tickets just went on sale in my city today at 10 am. I logged on at 10:03 ... and there are 152,000 people in front of me to buy. Looks like it's not happening :(

@mattel we took our kids swimming this weekend. I wore some black sweat shorts (not official swim wear) and a bathing suit top that still fit and I liked. I am so picky about bathing suits and I'm plus sized. I just have a hard time finding something I like and fits. But I was tired of missing out on fun with my kids.

  • @mountainsmama uh I'm not looking forward when Hamilton comes in to my town and the fiasco of tickets happens.  I have season tickets so i'm able to buy before they go on sale to the public so i'm sure I will have a lot of people hitting me up to score some.  Hopefully you are able to get some.

  • @ftm_ohio & @riversdoctor - I’m 5’7” and struggle with catching my breath lol! So glad to not be pregnant over the summer.

  • @Mattel what about mod cloth? Not sure what their maternity selection is like but I love their suits. Although kinda pricey
  • @ftm_ohio same here with the crowded lungs (all organs really). Short torso + scoliosis hunch = squished. Hope your migraine goes away!

  • @Mattel Could you buy separates with plain black shorts in non-maternity and a maternity tankini? That's what I did during my pregnancy with DS1. Both pieces were from Target so I was able to try them on together.

  • I second  (fifth?) the tankini suggestion!  I usually just nuy the top, and spandex exercise shorts or capris as a bottom.  They work really well!

  • Any STM+ have any recommendations for online partner birthing classes?  I most likely won't be able to get DH to go to a hospital or in-classroom type class, but could probably get him to sit through an online one with me.

  • @scuba_chic does your hospital offer any? I know mine has one that can be done online.  No clue what it's like cause I didn't take it but I would say it could be the same slide deck that was shown at the classroom training.

  • @Mattel - that’s a steal! Did you see if you spent $200 on nursery you got a $40 gift card?

  • @mattel i love that chair!! We got a target rocker for my 2016 son, and it's our favorite chair in the house. I was just asking my dh if we could get another. Im going to run by out target tomorrow. That is a great deal.

  • @g_amoss I didn’t! I’ll have to check that out because we need more stuff.

  • @mmmmkay I also have the same Snoogle you linked to and I just couldn’t make it work. I hate how much of the bed it takes up and changing positions while sleeping was such a pain. Too hard to get comfortable. I just bought this Boppy side sleeper one which is obviously way smaller. It’s working pretty well so far and prevents me from waking up flat on my back. I put a regular pillow between my knees. God I miss normal sleep.

  • @frenchiekinplusone  i've never even heard of those!  that looks like it might work better ( with a pillow between my knees too and then my normal pillow for my head ( as i think part of my neck pain is from having this weird other pillow instead of or with my normal pillow. )  thanks!

  • Anyone have magic cradle cap remedies? DS (2) STILL has it. He’s got too much hair and is too active for me to do softening treatments on the scales and pick it off like I did when he was a baby. Ped keeps shrugging and saying to try head and shoulders (which did work when he was a baby) but he’s too wiggly in the bath now for us to keep the water out of his eyes, and there’s no no tears version. Going to the dermatologist this week for it, just wondering if there are some home remedies I haven’t found on google...
  • @mmmmkay yeah the snoogle was giving me neck pain too. I think it was too firm for me. I ended up turning it so the hook part of the C was between my knees and the other end was at my end, and I pushed the head part out of the way so I could just use my regular pillow. As I said, pain in the ass haha

  • @Puddlewonderful
my 19 month old still sort of has it.  we just use regular baby shampoo but leave it on in the bath for a bit,  then comb her hair while still in the bath with a.... wait for it.  cat flea comb!

    https://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Coat-Cat-Flea-Comb/dp/B0041OSWFG

    i swear it works!

  • @bchalm sounds like a win to me!
  • @Puddlewonderful DD had it really bad.  We stick to California Baby Shampoo and let it sit for a minute and then take one of those hard tooth combs they give you at the hospital once the baby is born and comb her hair.  It's what worked for us. We did use coconut oil to try and soften the cradle cap for a bit but that's a little harder to wash out of a squirmy toddler. Hope you get some answers from the dermatologist!

  • @Mattel that is a steallll!!! I will check out target now to see if I can find something.

@frenchiekinplusone @mmmmkay same thing for me on the snoogle. I have the same method @frenchiekinplusone uses
