Passed and I went right to work my little girl was a jumping bean from all of that sugar intake all day. I felt lousy! Best advice eat ASAP after!!! Don’t wait
Had my 1 hour this am. Had a sandwich before so I felt fine during and after. Baby was definitely very active after drinking the drink. It wasn't too bad, just hoping to have non-eventful results. They said no news is good news so we'll see!
Question for those of you who got lightheaded with the drink....How long did you feel that way? I take mine next Tuesday and have other things to do after that, including meeting our potential pediatrician and I'm wondering if I'll feel like crap all day or if the feeling wears off pretty fast.
@scuba_chic the first time I took the 3 hour at around 12 weeks the first hour I felt super light headed, I did end up feeling better after that 1st hour. Best thing to do is bring some small snacks with you so once you are done you can eat something, especially if you won't be able to eat an actual meal for a little bit afterwards.
Well i failed the 1 hour and was told to schedule the 3 hour this week. I passed w both my daughter's so i am semi-shocked. Also annoyed...feel free to insert all the curse words bc that's how i feel at the moment.
@scuba_chic I was craving protein like crazy when I was done with the 2 hour. I ended up going to McDonalds next door and getting 2 sausage egg McMuffins with cheese and that helped so much! Bring snacks but I would reccomend they be full of protein!
@fancybelmont My office doesnt call, I found out at my next appointment and I had failed. I hope it is different in your case, but im sure you could call the office and have someone tell you?
@nessa1632 thank you! I ended up fasting by midnight and went in after drinking it 45 mins after. I had to sit there in the waiting room until iwas officially an hour passed Consuming and I passed thankfully. I did get very lightheaded but I was ok I brought food with me!
@sjn00 Hmmmm. I hope not. That's surprising that they'd make you wait 2 or more weeks if you failed. I have no faith in Quest Diagnostics so who knows when I'll find out.
@sjn00 can't believe they didn't tell you for two weeks! You'd think they'd want you to take the next step ASAP.
@fancybelmont I took mine Monday and never heard anything so I've been assuming I passed. I'll be pissed if I go in next Monday and they tell me I failed. There is a serious lack of communication by the office manager at my OB so I have no idea if they were supposed to call or not.
@fancybelmont@ftm_ohio yeah, idk why the waited, but i dont think finding out over the phone would have changed anything, because i had to wait for my nutrition appointment anyways to get the logostics of meal planning figured out.
@sjn00 I guess so, but I would have modified A LOT of my eating habits in a two week time span of waiting (aka I eat TONS of sweets lol). That's why I'd be upset.
Grrrr I Failed the one hour by four flipping points. I saw the results online and am now Just waiting for the news from my doctors office. This happened with my first and I passed the three hour without issue. Such a pain. What with this being the worst flu season in history, let’s make a pregnant woman sit amongst the sick in a lab for three hours. (Eye roll). Full disclosure: I just ate a donut. Haha I don’t know why I failed?!
