That said, I've stopped using expensive First Response Early Result tests, mine didn't start showing faint positive till like 20dpo, so infuriating. Meanwhile the cheap 88 cent First Signal tests at Walmart were showing faint positives from 10dpo that kept getting darker the further I went along.
I got a faint positive on 12/29 at 14 dpi. Then faint or negative test until 1/3. All of the sudden it was dark. 1/3 is the day my period was due. Some people just do not get good strong positives until after a missed period. This is my 4th pregnancy and it was like thus for me each time.
I had to take a couple to make sure I wasn't seeing things! I've never been pregnant before and it still doesn't feel real. I can't wait to get an ultrasound!
It is hard for me to imagine just that too. Honestly I don't knwo how some people do it. At this point and rate a positive seems like science fiction. In my case I don't know what a positive looks like because of my infertility. I have been buying countless peesticks. No success whatsoever happened to me! I wish this upon nobody dear. I red this post since the moment that I opened the account. Finally I am able to say that I understand you. I don't get it why can't it be that they just say yes you are pregnant or no your not. Hell even simple yes and no would be fine. I mean a program that does that doesn't sound super complicated to write.
Imagine what infertile women go through. I think it might be a positive this time. You know what this might be one of those cases where it give you a fake negative... Damn I just made myself sad. God bless you all!
I was wondering if anyone could see what I see or if I'm seeing things, and if you see it then does it look like it has color to it or does it look like a shadow line, the line showed up before the 10 minutes but it got darker as the test set.? Confused!!!
Positive line darker then control is a good thing! Means you have high levels of HcG. My chemical pregnancy a few years back positive was so faint. Mine 3 days past period.

Not necessarily true. Home pregnancy tests are qualitative only, not quantitative. Also, please add a trigger warning when mentioning loss. I hope this pregnancy turns out well for you!
TW:
I had very dark lines with my two losses. Line darkness means squat as far as pregnancy viability, unless you have a disappearing line with bleeding indicative of a chemical.
After my recent positives, I was scouring this thread looking for pics of HPTs with HCG numbers while impatiently waiting through the weekend for my first beta. I didn't find many, so I thought I'd post mine here in case it helps anyone with their anxiety. Obviously the results will be different from person to person, though. 11 and 12dpo (hcg 130):
14dpo (hcg 346):
And a Wondfo for good measure because it was the last test I had in the house. 16dpo (hcg 713):
I tested today on my lunch break. It's the CVS brand. The control line didn't go all the way across but I didn't have time to test again. AF was due 4 days ago. Thoughts on that control line? I'll test again after work. ETA: close up pic of test. Edit 2: I tested again & it was positive.
@loisloan1118 I would test again to be sure. fx for you!

So I’m 10dpIUI and decided to test before bed...I’m so excited but nervous it’s not real at the same time. I know it’s a squinter but it’s fairly easy to see in person and I’m going to hopefully confirm with a beta in a few days.

With my first pregnancy I used the walmart .99 cent test since we didnt believe it and it was positive so we bought the clearblue digital and it was also positive. With this one I used the left over clearblue digital and it said positive. Really either brand works I wouldnt go buying the most expensive brand.
This was the first test i took. This was about 3 or 4 days after implantation occurred
You cannot get a positive test 3 or 4 days after implantation @kadorno0904 sorry but that’s not how it works. More like 3-4 days after af is due.
Sure you can. That's actually exactly how it works for ladies who start testing at 7/8 DPO?
Implantation occurs on average 5-10 days after ovulation. Your HCG levels in blood are detectable for a BFP as early as 2 days after implantation. HCG levels in the urine are detectable for a BFP as early as 3 days after implantation.
BFPs that are 8-14 DPO are extremely common, and generally when most ladies who are actively tracking their cycles and temping/charting to know when they ovulated would be getting their BFPs.
Now if they were claiming 3-4 DPO, then yeah - they're wrong. But 3-4 days past implantation is generally when you can get your first BFP.
I think a distinct test line within the 5mm is enough to consider that you're pregnant. Now, as far as I've figured people often fail to follow the 5mm and end look at the faint evaporation line getting confused if that's early pregnancy or evaps...have come across many such post in the various forums. I personally hate the blue dye HPT.. they tend to confuse more with the spread-out... especially if you're checking before you've had missed your AF already. I used a FRER with my1st... both the dye and the digital one.
I’ve had 3 tests like this, all within the time limit to read. 2 yesterday and this is today’s. Do I have line eyes? I swear I see something. About 13 dpo. Edited to add: starting to think I’m just seeing things, or an indent or shadow line. I’ve always just got stark white negatives with the FRERs so this threw me.
