@sabby2 also with you on the health care food no no. It really cramps my style. I'm in a pharmacy all day. Apparently the board doesn't like cheeto finger prints on the tablets or a skittle dropped in, or us eating a pill, but for realzzzzz, I am in the allowed eating zone in the offices like 8x a day.
@twelvetwosomeonenew lol, my colleague and I have an an agreement to keep an eye on each other's faces, and if either of us are getting out of hand, we shoot over a quick chat. I have a reeeally hard time remembering/controlling my b*tch face and my baffled laughter. It's a constant struggle!!

I’m so obsessed with milk and cheese right now. Today I was fantasizing about a cheese ball - the kinds they serve at showers that are covered with almonds. I’ve also been thinking about lasagna all day but mostly, I think, because lasagna is covered in cheese.
Are we allowed to post pictures of our food here? I am becoming such a foodie being pregnant. I know runny eggs are kind of a no no but it was baaaaarely runny. Half of an English muffin with avocado and an egg. Side of berries for breakfast. It.was.glorious
@sabby2 I'm sure they are. You know how the information out there is; so conflicting. Hence my being cool with eating a cooked, but somewhat runny egg. I will also eat sushi from trusted sources, etc.
It changes so much. I just wash my produce really well, limit my caffeine, drink lots of water, avoid the recalls and enjoy everything else I trust in moderation. What else can ya do or else we will be avoiding everything. Even ice cream is dangerous now.
I've been eating so much iceberg salad mix with super vinegary dressing lately. Should probably switch out the iceberg for something with actual nutrients but...eh. I want ALL the sour or spicy things and have no desire for sweets. Very strange but I'm going with it!! Gotta get me some hot and sour soup or pho asap.
@amys614 I’ve been loving eggs too only I like mine fried. I’ve also been loving Neapolitan ice cream.
Today I feel so full. I barely take two bites of something and I feel like i had a huge meal. I hope this changes so I can eat some of the things in this thread I now want lol
@MissKittyDanger I'm not sure to be honest. I guess the concern is the salmonella, but in my lifetime I've consumed just as much raw cookie dough as I have cooked cookies and I'm still alive *shrug* Got to just do what you're comfortable with.
I had a cheese and pepperoni omelet and toast for breakfast. The pepperoni did not taste good first thing in the morning, in an omelet. But, by itself? It was delish. Go figure!
And then I ate a taco bowl with leftovers from dinner the other night for lunch. Amazing.
I am such a cliche pregnant lady again! Had to buy some Ben and Jerry’s Half Baked bc of an earlier convo somewhere on here. Got to CVS and discovered The Tonight Dough flavor: Caramel and chocolate ice cream swirled with chocolate cookies and globs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. I’m currently considering leaving my husband for this ice cream.
@kfren mmm so good! They are relatively new to me, but I am loving them.
@LaceyBee522 A girl I work with is obsessed with that flavor. I'm scared to try it as I may develop a new unhealthy addiction. Her talking about it makes me feel like I must. I have no control on portions with ice cream.
@amys614 I first tried them today. DH picked them up. I don't typically eat oranges, because pulp, but I was peeling one for the kiddos and ended up eating half of it. They smelled too good.
I just got home from work and had an eating marathon, apparently. I had hummus and carrots + 2 thin mint cookies. Thought I was good. 45 min later I had some Cheetos, a string cheese, a pickle and an apple.
Is this isht for real?! Bottomless pit I tell ya...
@krashke pop tarts are amazing. Haven't had those in like 15 years. May have to get me some. I am team cold pop tarts. Do you eat them cold or warm?
Does anyone else buy Premier Protein? I'll buy a couple 4 packs when I can find them on sale, but use them pretty sparingly. At over $2 a piece (although cheaper at Costco, but I don't need that many) and 160 calories and 30 grams of protein, I typically use about half at a time. I eat meat, beans, Greek yogurt, eggs, etc so I'm not struggling in the protein department any longer as I was first trimester, but where Ive previously added it is to my coffee in the morning if I feel like I'm having a carb heavy breakfast or to a smoothie when I feel like I've been slacking a bit on protein for the day. Anyhoo, I didn't want my typical eggs or Greek yogurt today, so I had a packet of cinnamon roll oatmeal. I microwaved it in the premier protein instead of water. I had a moment where I was so proud of myself. It made the oatmeal extra creamy AND added 15g of protein to balance out the carb coma. I have a feeling this is going to spiral into me adding it to french toast batter, etc, etc.
I'm decent at this whole balanced meal, fat+carb+protein to stay full, rah rah, fruits and vegetables for the win stuff until aboutttt 8pm where it turns into a Cheetos, girl scout cookies , ice cream party.
@amys614 at work I'm team cold because I usually eat them on those mornings where I sit down and go to town and don't get away from my desk until 11 am. If I ever have them on the weekends I toast them.
The company that owns the company I work for also owns Premier Protein so I will encourage you to keep buying them lol and I love all the ways you've used them. I haven't been using protein supplements because at some point early on I made a protein shake and then immediately freaked out if I could have whey protein. So I did a quick google search and the first thing I found said to stay away because too much protein can cause a vitamin A deficiency. However, this week my homework from Bradley classes was to track what we're eating for macros to see how much protein we're getting and I have found that unless I'm having meat at every meal, I'm not getting enough. I might need to pick up some Premier Protein of my own. They have a French Toast flavored powder that I got from work but now I'm not seeing it on their website so IDK if it is discontinued or yet to be released.

@amys614 I'm team cold pop tart! Also, team chocolate premier protein, DH is vanilla. We get the 18 pack at Costco.... Right now they are $5 off a case. I stopped drinking a couple weeks into pregnancy after reading too many vitamins can be bad for baby, also there were a lot of ingredients that just had me questioning what I was feeding LO. I plan on using post partom again though... They helped me lose 65lbs on weight watchers right before BFP and really curb hunger from all the protein!
@amys614 We have premier protein in the house on a regular basis but I also haven't been drinking any since being pregnant. They're the go to for DH since he's on the road all day and I'd also only drink them if I was going to be out and carrying food would have been hard (and if I was trying to avoid eating out). Also, team cold pop tart! Although I haven't had them in a loooong time because the calories/sugar in them are horrendous for the amount you get and when I was calorie counting they totally weren't worth it. Also, I've never actually had a warm pop tart!
@stephcat421 congrats on the weight loss! I too, lost about 50 pounds right before conceiving. I sometimes wonder if it contributed to getting pregnant. Protein was the key to my success too. Not a crazy abundance, but just enough.
@krashke that's so neat that you work for a company with close ties. I too got nervous about excess protein, but I'm lucky if I drink a half of one a couple times per week so I'm not too concerned with excess. I think it's actually really difficult to hit recommended protein without significant effort. Unless you're eating egg whites, tuna, chicken breasts plus protein supplements, keto type diet, it's probably not of concern for us who eat regularly balanced meals. I came across something where a doctor found a correlation in his patients with increased protein intake having decreased pre-e. Just anecdotal, so I take it with a grain of salt, but it's always in the back of my mind. Again, not to go above and beyond my protein requirements, but to make an effort to at least hit what is recommended. Even if the doctor is a quack, it can't hurt to hit what's recommended, in my mind.
@becca_123 I think I had a warm one once and it felt totally wrong to me. Ditto on why I haven't had one in so long either. I remember used to really liking the brown sugar cinnamon ones as a kid though.
@amys614 the first thing my PCP told me after my BFP was the weight loss contributed to my fertility without question. I did consume over 100g of protein/day but with the pregnancy nothing protein related sounds good.... I'm really trying to get off the carb/sugar train as I know it's no good for baby or me. Congrats on your weight loss too!
@amys614 ~ I use a scoop of protein power in my morning smoothie that I have *almost* every day. The scoop has 25g of protein. Plus I have Greek yougurt in the smoothie too which is like another 8-10g. So it is a good kick start to my morning on the protein front. Once I have that in my system, I don’t stress as much about my protein consumption throughout the rest of the day, since pretty much everything I eat has it in it. But if I don’t have that smoothie in the morning, it’s a struggle to hit my protein goal.
Also - team warm (Frosted Cherry) pop tart all the way
All the recent talk of Ben & Jerry’s has me wanting to celebrate half way next week with some. I think I’m going to try to find the Oat of This Swirled flavor to celebrate with.

We're out of cereal, have no eggs, and toast sounds gross.
I don't know what I'm going to eat for second/real breakfast though. Still debating that one.
