As I mentioned in the "healthy snacks" thread, I just ate a Three Musketeers bar for the first time in approximately a decade. It was disgusting and glorious.

@ramblebee There is an amazing pho place by us that I want to get delivery from seriously every single day, but the delivery fee is 7 frickin' dollars, and that just seems like robbery to me. I may have to give in, soon, though, especially when the weather is this cold!

Unfortunately the only vegetable I've been consuming lately are potatoes in the form of french fries and chips. The holidays get me waaaaaaaaay off track and I feel gross about not eating anything nutritious. Get it together woman!
@ramblebee@MoonOverGoldsboro A pho place opened by me recently and I've always wanted to try it but never have had the guts to go. Why I'm nervous about it, I have no idea!
I MISS EATING ALL THE SEAFOOD!!!!!! This is not a pg craving. I always been a big seafood person, but the pg limitations drive me NUTS so I want it even more.
One of my NY resolutions was to not eat out and spend less money. I failed last night I had 2 red potatoes and a corn cob boiled in seafood seasoning with melted butter. It was SOOOO good and helped curve my craving for seafood (a little). I spent $1.90 but it was worth it. This combination (red potatoes and corn with melted butter and spicy seasoning) was huge during those few weeks of nausea I had in the first tri.
All the Pho! I took myself out for Pho at lunch today. When DH asked where I went, I told him that the baby wanted Pho. I normally go on pay day Friday.....it is not pay day Friday. It tasted AMAZING! I want to go back for dinner, but the kids won't eat that. When I'm not eating Pho, I'm eating chocolate which is why I started the healthy snacks thread. hahaha.
Confession, I've never had Pho (it sounds delicious though). I ALWAYS want a giant bowl of authentic tonkatsu ramen. I could eat that every day. Sadly I have not had this in years because I live thousands of miles from Japan and I don't know anywhere close that makes authentic ramen. Darn middle of nowhere midwest!
I’m loving all the carbs right now! Pasta seems to be my meal of choice these days.
Hubby finished all the cheese I put on my pasta last night...he told me when I was about to make food...so I got my first pregnant rage fit! I was utterly furious for about 5 mins until I realized how utterly furious I was and burst out laughing. Yup...pregnancy isn’t glamorous!!
(I apologized to him and also told him he probably should always make sure there’s cheese in the house from now on, I came home today and he’d bought my favourite cheese haha)
I’ve always wanted to try pho but have never gotten around to it. Maybe I can convince DH next time we are in London.
I’m trying to do better with eating healthy. Last night we had baked cod, green beans and rice. Current cravings include: pink lady apples, orange mango juice, gooey butter cake (luckily does not exist in England and an holding off making it myself), and breakfast sandwiches with american cheese. I have literally never liked american cheese but right now I can’t get enough.

Right now I'm eating a vegetarian meat patty thing (sounds appetizing, right?) That is 31g of protein and 6 net carbs. I've been eating a lot of "beyond meat" veggie burgers that are 23 g of protein and low carb. (No bread) all this sounds well and good and then I eat a bunch of chocolate. Inhaled half a Hershey chocolate with almonds yesterday. The GIANT bar...not the small one. Then a bunch of peanut chews.
I recently developed a seafood allergy. This child has betrayed me. Seafood was the only animal protein I was eating and happens to be my favorite. Hoping it is only shrimp/shellfish.
I made a great vegetarian sausage gravy and a broccoli and cheddar soup in a bread bowl this week. But I don't think I'll be able to stay vegetarian this whole pregnancy. I'm craving meat like crazy!
Someone give me a meatball sub before I kill someone.
Pho is the best! I've only had it once this pregnancy, but its so good especially in the cold weather. On the other hand, I've had top ramen 3 times in the last month...more than I've had in the last 5 years combined (all the sodium @RatParade).
Also, I cannot get enough hummus. I'm literally shoveling it in...haha.
As for real meals, this past week I made a really good Taco Chili Soup and Chicken Sausage Broccoli Pasta (both recipes from skinnytaste.com).
You guys have me intrigued with Pho because I’ve never tried it. Fortunately Bham is a foodie paradise and I spotted a place today. Pho sampling is in my near future, hurrah.
I’ve never had Pho but I have always wanted to and this thread has convinced me. there Is a place right by our house that apparently has the best Pho, according to one Uber driver.

I grabbed a Cuban wrap from Trader Joe’s and halved with with DH cold today. Probably the most rebellious thing I’ve done thus far minus my nightly baths, but it was delicious.
@ffw0617 I think baths got roped into the same concept as hot tubs. Elevated temperature and heart rate for mom isn’t good for baby but baths don’t maintain their temperature like hot tubs do. My doctor and NP both said they’re fine. If you feel light headed or short of breath you should get out safely and I’m not a doctor so you can ask yours if you’re concerned. I’ve enjoyed all the lush goodies I got for Christmas!

@ffw0617 - I take baths regularly now that I'm pregnant because it helps my joints and back. As long as you're not using super hot bath water (I read and go by the rule that if your skin is getting pink/red, it's too hot; and if you start sweating, it's definitely too hot), you're fine.
We just ate spam for lunch.
How do you guys eat it? I grew up eating cold spam sandwiches (it's pre cooked) with mustard or mayo. H grew up with fried spam sandwiches with butter and ketchup. He gags thinking of my cold spam sandwiches, and had to prove his cooked ones are better. They were okay, but didn't trump the ones from my childhood.
