Re: December Symptoms

  • @nancysimp that is the worst. I'm sorry you had to wake to that!

  • Thanks ladies. Last night I felt like I was going to pass out so of course I had a mild panic attack from fear and worry for the baby. My hubby is super and calmed me down, got me breathing. One friend gave me great advice, just look down at my belly and think about baby in there and you will smile. This is true. Stop worrying and just remember he is safe in there and will wonder what is wrong with mama vs something being wrong with him. <3 sigh.
  • This third trimester is beginning to look a lot like the first trimester... except with a bump now. Getting nauseous... weird vivid dreams again. Indigestion is awful and nothing sounds good to eat :(
  • @chasingroygbiv - this sucks. give me the second trimester energy back please! lol

@muggle621 me too. And I've caught myself snoring on the train going to work...it woke me up! :(
  • @mommytron I know this is old, but just wanted to say that I found out I have the same. Mine isn’t uncomfortable but it’s worrisome. Hope you’re doing ok!
  • Sorry I've been MIA for so long. We drove to my mom's house and then the next morning I went to the ER for bronchitis. I was having a hard time breathing - it freaked out me and DH.  They took care of me and I'm ok now, hoping I finally am getting better.

  • @fatstagnation I'm hoping you're still able to enjoy the holidays and your family. Feel better soon!

  • Sick like a dog. Yay me.
  • Damn @fatstagnation, that is intense! I’m so sorry. Glad you’re feeling better!

Sorry @nancysimp. Everyone has been getting sick lately, it sucks. I hope you feel better.

@slr1229 Have you tried increasing your calcium intake? I was getting bad leg cramps at night and I upped my dairy and they went away. My doctor said that is your pregnant body’s way of telling you to get more calcium.
  • Here's hoping you get better too @nancysimp

  • I’m hoping everyone feels better before Christmas!
  • I feel like I've been doing splits all day, my inner thighs hurt!
  • @vflux33 nope but I will surely do that!!  Thanks!
  • I can't sleep on my side anymore, my lungs become constricted. Found it more comfortable to sleep in an upright position.
  • @LaurenAnn0405 did the hemotoligist suggest taking anything? Or just that you need to be monitored?
I had a similar situation I think my level was 10 and the hemotoligist suggested I do iron infusions 5 time a week for 2 hours each.
I got really bad vibes from her office and felt like they only wanted me in to bill insurance. so I decided to run it by my OB before agreeing. He actually thought it was weird they suggested that, and put me on iron pills instead and said he'll take extra blood tests when I come in to see him anyway to monitor my levels.
Just wondering what they suggested for you....
  • Finished round 4 of antibiotics (different one each time) and I can tell I still have bacterial vaginosis. I wish I could find my own solution. I’ve researched a ton and some people don’t kick it for a year! Bah!
  • @crossfitbabybump I was thinking LO doesn't have much room either,  but for a different reason. He has decreased his movement a little these last couple of days.  Nothing extreme,  but he isn't grooving I  there like he was the last 4 weeks.

  • @cford08 my little guy was calm for a few days last week but is now rolling, jabbing, trying to get comfy...I think hiccuping since I'm feeling pop pop pop or electric jolts lol don't remember how the app explained it. Going to try sleeping with a bunch of pillows too...my hips hurt a lot and I'm not sleeping.
  • @cford08 - mine just literally feels like she's trying to escape through my skin! she's quite the feisty little one lol
  • @nancysimp the hip pain is real! It is so uncomfortable to try to go to sleep. And don't even get me started with left vs right side. I can't stay on one side more than an hour  :s

  • @nancysimp @cford08 I'm right there with y'all. I can't stay on my side for very long either. I'm going to try a Snoogle and hope that helps.

  • So I remember @vflux33 mentioning this and some other ladies. But I went for my 32 week appointment today and was told that the next time my belly gets hard and tight and it’s coming up on 20 minutes + to go to L&D to get monitored. Better safe than sorry? So maybe mention it to your OB’s and see what they say?
  • @mdfarmchick Whoa that's crazy... if I did that I'd be in L & D every day! I really think mine is probably space constriction/twins problems. I'm getting NSTs weekly starting in a couple weeks so hopefully if something is up they will pick it up then. If you do go in for that, which I hope you don't need to, let us know how it goes and what they say!
  • @nancysimp @muggle621 @cford08 so much hip pain here at night, too. Sucks.

I'm also having leg cramps, constipation and heart burn like crazy. Ugh hello 3rd tri
  • @vflux33 I’m not very happy about it... it mostly happens at night, which coincides with DS’s bedtime and it’s not like we have any family close enough to call. It started tonight so I went and got in the bath to try to head it off. It worked. This time. Hopefully if I have to go, I only need to go in once to verify that everything is fine. Because if it’s every time, that’s pretty much daily. Ha. I’ll keep you posted.
  • @mdfarmchick My preterm birth awareness instructions say every time I have contractions to drink 32 (not a typo!) ounces of water, pee, change positions (stop moving and lie down on left side preferably), and see if contractions persist after doing all those things before calling L & D. Were you given similar instructions?
  • Only 2 days away from the third trimester. Mother Nature is welcoming me to this milestone with stretch marks. Yayyy.
  • @vflux33 nope. Just literally if I drink a “glass” of cold water, lay on my left side and if the contractions are still more than 4 in an hour, to go in for monitoring. And I know that my OB is definitely an err on the side of caution type of guy too so I feel confident that he would tell me to go in too.

Honestly, if I didn’t have a two year old’s sleep to figure out, I would have probably already gone in with all the cramping, extended contractions and BH. It’s easy to rationalize things away when it’s not easy to head in for monitoring. I think you don’t have as many S+TMs showing up for monitoring, not because they’ve BTDT or they aren’t as nervous as FTMs but simply because they have a little person to factor in.
  • @mdfarmchick I really hope everything's OK!
