Thanks ladies. Last night I felt like I was going to pass out so of course I had a mild panic attack from fear and worry for the baby. My hubby is super and calmed me down, got me breathing. One friend gave me great advice, just look down at my belly and think about baby in there and you will smile. This is true. Stop worrying and just remember he is safe in there and will wonder what is wrong with mama vs something being wrong with him. sigh.
This third trimester is beginning to look a lot like the first trimester... except with a bump now. Getting nauseous... weird vivid dreams again. Indigestion is awful and nothing sounds good to eat
@mommytron I know this is old, but just wanted to say that I found out I have the same. Mine isn’t uncomfortable but it’s worrisome. Hope you’re doing ok!
@muggle621 - My DH said I snore, too! The other night I woke up to this abrupt sound that I assumed was my husband farting. I smacked his arm and told him not to do that in the bed. He burst out laughing and I couldn't figure out why he thought it was so funny... then he proceeded to tell me that he didn't fart, I was snoring and snored so loud I woke myself up and blamed it on him "farting." This is my life.
I've also been getting stronger Braxton Hicks, more slight cramping and pulling in my back. Ugh...
Sorry I've been MIA for so long. We drove to my mom's house and then the next morning I went to the ER for bronchitis. I was having a hard time breathing - it freaked out me and DH. They took care of me and I'm ok now, hoping I finally am getting better.
Damn @fatstagnation, that is intense! I’m so sorry. Glad you’re feeling better!
Sorry @nancysimp. Everyone has been getting sick lately, it sucks. I hope you feel better.
@slr1229 Have you tried increasing your calcium intake? I was getting bad leg cramps at night and I upped my dairy and they went away. My doctor said that is your pregnant body’s way of telling you to get more calcium.
@LaurenAnn0405 did the hemotoligist suggest taking anything? Or just that you need to be monitored? I had a similar situation I think my level was 10 and the hemotoligist suggested I do iron infusions 5 time a week for 2 hours each. I got really bad vibes from her office and felt like they only wanted me in to bill insurance. so I decided to run it by my OB before agreeing. He actually thought it was weird they suggested that, and put me on iron pills instead and said he'll take extra blood tests when I come in to see him anyway to monitor my levels. Just wondering what they suggested for you....
Finished round 4 of antibiotics (different one each time) and I can tell I still have bacterial vaginosis. I wish I could find my own solution. I’ve researched a ton and some people don’t kick it for a year! Bah!
@babyamg2018 - I sleep upright now too! stack all my pillows against my headboard. It's the most "comfortable" position I can find now. Baby G likes it too, she doesn't fuss too much in that position.
Speaking of fussing, she must not have much room in there now. I can constantly feel her turning and moving. Sometimes she's vertical, sometimes she's horizontal. Little elbow jabs and whole hands and feet trying to escape my bellybutton have become a daily routine for her. And it's difficult to eat a full meal anymore.. I will still be hungry but soooo miserable and my belly gets really tight and I can't breath. Fun, fun.
@crossfitbabybump I was thinking LO doesn't have much room either, but for a different reason. He has decreased his movement a little these last couple of days. Nothing extreme, but he isn't grooving I there like he was the last 4 weeks.
@cford08 my little guy was calm for a few days last week but is now rolling, jabbing, trying to get comfy...I think hiccuping since I'm feeling pop pop pop or electric jolts lol don't remember how the app explained it. Going to try sleeping with a bunch of pillows too...my hips hurt a lot and I'm not sleeping.
@nancysimp the hip pain is real! It is so uncomfortable to try to go to sleep. And don't even get me started with left vs right side. I can't stay on one side more than an hour
@nancysimp@cford08@muggle621 I keep mentioning this in different forums, but the Spinning Babies streches helped with comfort soooooo much for me! It got to the point where I was sleeping horribly even with the Snoogle, but things improved the same night I started the streches. I basically wake up three times in the night now to switch sides and can fall right back asleep. I have drank the Kool Aid!
So I remember @vflux33 mentioning this and some other ladies. But I went for my 32 week appointment today and was told that the next time my belly gets hard and tight and it’s coming up on 20 minutes + to go to L&D to get monitored. Better safe than sorry? So maybe mention it to your OB’s and see what they say?
@mdfarmchick Whoa that's crazy... if I did that I'd be in L & D every day! I really think mine is probably space constriction/twins problems. I'm getting NSTs weekly starting in a couple weeks so hopefully if something is up they will pick it up then. If you do go in for that, which I hope you don't need to, let us know how it goes and what they say!
@vflux33 I’m not very happy about it... it mostly happens at night, which coincides with DS’s bedtime and it’s not like we have any family close enough to call. It started tonight so I went and got in the bath to try to head it off. It worked. This time. Hopefully if I have to go, I only need to go in once to verify that everything is fine. Because if it’s every time, that’s pretty much daily. Ha. I’ll keep you posted.
@mdfarmchick My preterm birth awareness instructions say every time I have contractions to drink 32 (not a typo!) ounces of water, pee, change positions (stop moving and lie down on left side preferably), and see if contractions persist after doing all those things before calling L & D. Were you given similar instructions?
@vflux33 nope. Just literally if I drink a “glass” of cold water, lay on my left side and if the contractions are still more than 4 in an hour, to go in for monitoring. And I know that my OB is definitely an err on the side of caution type of guy too so I feel confident that he would tell me to go in too.
Honestly, if I didn’t have a two year old’s sleep to figure out, I would have probably already gone in with all the cramping, extended contractions and BH. It’s easy to rationalize things away when it’s not easy to head in for monitoring. I think you don’t have as many S+TMs showing up for monitoring, not because they’ve BTDT or they aren’t as nervous as FTMs but simply because they have a little person to factor in.

The Snoogle pillow IS helping with my back pain though. I don't want to admit all those crazy Amazon reviews were right.
