I'm not exactly disappointed that thread got closed. I'm also somewhat proud because I think it's the first thread the admins had to shut down on April so far.
I was about to comment there how the board is soooooo much bussier now since that thread started and was glad to see it has incouraged people to post more! I hate when a discussion cant be resolved how it should and was waiting to see if we would weed out members before the switch, and now that got prevented. Boo hiss.
@ladythrice *eyeroll.* We didn’t all immediately capitulate and admit to being mean, heinous hags for wanting some semblance of privacy in a private group and somebody probably got all butthurt and reported you.

But for real, it might have been the cat GIFs, seeing as the official reason was "change of topic". I mean, we all know the reason was butt-hurt that people got called out for shitty accusations, but meh, we will go with cat gifs.

This. I don’t get the draw in needing to be in a group of people you don’t know. That purpose could be served by any other baby forums on the internet. The only people I’d want to join and participate in a FB group with are people I’m familiar enough with that I’m comfortable with them knowing my name, my city, seeing photos of my family, and knowing my boobs are leaking in the middle of the night and I haven’t showered in a week and my baby is losing its mind and I’m having a mental breakdown in the dark by myself. I am way too private of a person to be doing that in a group of a ton of women who don’t know each other. There are plenty of other places to do that online, if that’s your thing.
And I’ll end there lest this thread get shut down too
@kmalls no good advice on the sleeping situation except to say don't do what I did and let him sleep with you. We're stuck right now after I started caving during 1st tri when I was too tired and sick to deal with bed time. I'm really hoping a new big boy bed will at least help with the transition back to his room. I love @lindsye 's tent idea though! I actually want to incorporate a teepee tent as a book nook in his room, so maybe we could use that as a special place to sleep.

Also sorry for being late to the party @kmalls with DD we just moved her to a different room with a twin bed on Sunday. We let her pick out her sheets and pick where she wanted her decor at (what little there is) she has done pretty good. We put her to bed and leave and don't hear a sound. So maybe letting your son have a little say in some things might help.
AFM went to the outlet mall with my my and MIL and it was so hard not buy all the little baby boy clothes because they were all so cute. Also highly disappointed when we went to the Coach store and found NOTHING I liked and MH said I could buy something there since it was my birthday. But on a good note I got 6 free freshed baked cookies from where we ate lunch since it was birthday.

DD is having serious nap issues right now but she is only 21 months, now I'm freaking about this apparent 2-3yr regression.
@bchalm DS is also having nap issues, he just turned 2! He will only nap at daycare or if we take a ride in the car. Which is fine, but I miss my naptime alone time
Our admin person was sending out emails to our tax clients to make sure we had updated phone numbers. The email was something along the lines of "can you please provide a current number so we can update our records". One lady responded yesterday with just "No, I will not". Ummm.....okay?

@bchalm@peppersmith22 I don’t know if nap regressions are a thing, but DS went through one HARD right at 19/20 months (which sucked because that’s when DD was born). I drove around for hours with both of them just so he could rest and I could have some peace and quiet. The good news is that he snapped out of it after a few weeks (well...like a month ) and it’s only now, a year later, that he’s having issues again. Hopefully it’ll be the same for you both!

We got our bonus today ("profit share" to us). Its our biggest one yet and was more than I expected. Now to be frugal and not go buy everything I want lol. Thinking of putting a serious chunk away for daycare next year. Ahhh, so happy!!
@klburke88 I work in the financial industry too, and it is crazy how many people get obnoxious about providing info. I know not everyone understands how credit is granted, but believe me, when you act like a shady mobster about your finances, it makes underwriters go "uh......no".

OMG modern medicine. I've had the cold from hell since Sunday and I called my OB begging for relief. Apparently we can take sudafed and mucinex (AFTER 1st tri only. I thought it was banned completely) and all is practically right in my world again. Sweet sweet relief.

I am annoyed because I was awake at 5:30 today and couldn't go back to sleep. My alarm goes off at 6:15 typically. And of course it's a night DS sleeps all night. I was like ok I can get up and get my shower done before he wakes up. The second I got up, he started stirring and woke up. How do they know?!
AFM: today is the one day of the week that both kids are out of the house at the same time. I’ve got a 2.5 hour window all to myself, and I had planned to race to the good stores for Christmas shopping.
...but guys, my motivation is gone. Nowhere to be found. I cannot muster the energy to sprint through stores. Instead I’m bumping from the Dunkin’ parking lot and I’ll hit some local stores if I’m up for it. Meh.
Apparently it was snowing in my neighborhood today, but not at my work And we are supposed to get our first under freezing temp so I need to buy faucet covers. But everyone is going to rush to the store to get them and then they will all be out!
