I was raging until I saw it was a gif party. if you check out the "when are stm announcing?" that was started by queen special snowflake who declared she will post what she wants when she wants completing ignoring the stm check in and the when are you announcing thread but her minions followed her there so by all means stay there haha.
also when they are so concerned about havjng so much to catch up on how is it they want even more threads to read? I don't think they logic much
Ok, well,to be fair, I didn’t realize it was a new thread when I posted. I just saw “STM” and assumed it was the one that’d been there all week. The rest of the title totally did not click.
@doxiemoxie212 I picked up an envelop with the gender results in them today! They called yesterday. Your office is weird, when they called the caller said Do you want to know the sex now or come pick it up? It was that simple. They have a cute little envelope and everything. On my lunch break I grabbed a box some ballons and confetti popper (blue & pink) my coworkers put the box together. They even went above and beyond and wrapped and signed the box. We are going out to dinner in about 30 minutes to open it. I'm so excited. I am just ready to know.
@doxiemoxie212 I want to see all the little bumps! Mine is mostly just my lower belly fat that is being pushed out by the bloat. You can really only see that my pubic area is getting rounder when I'm naked and I'm not about to put THAT all over the interwebs. The main thing is that I cant suck it in anymore.
I started a HDBD a couple weeks ago but it was pretty dead. Maybe this week would be better since people are a little further along. Also I cannot believe you are almost 14 weeks! GAH!

@krashke yeah and based on size, baby is actually 14+1 lol. DH has been very "we have so much time, doxiemoxie, what is your RUSH to plan anything?" and then I was like, "You know we're more than one third complete with this pregnancy, right?" And his eyes widened and now he's like, OKAY WHAT DO WE NEED TO PLAN lol lol lol. I mean, obv we still have plenty of time, but still funny what a difference framing makes for some dudes.
@doxiemoxie212 haha I'm glad he sees the urgency now! But like you said, you still have time. We are waiting until after the new year to kick it into high gear with planning and prepping.

@krashke yeah, we're not buying any stuff until probably March or April? But I want to know what I want lol. I want to feel like a baby products expert by then
@doxiemoxie212 we have PLENTY of things that need to get done before anything is purchased. I'm assuming we will have a shower around late April and I will fill in the gaps after that.

Random - I'm sitting in a session at a work conference, catching up on the bump on my cell under the table. You can see where my focus is these days.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
So I was thinking about what a couple people mentioned regarding incorrect gender results on genetic testing(rare). I'd find it hard to believe there are false positive girl results? As woman, our DNA can't be contaminated with female DNA, but can be contaminated by male DNA giving a false reading. For example, a male tech at the lab contaminates our bloodwork, indicating male DNA present-male baby assumed. A female contaminating our bloodwork wouldn't cancel out male DNA present. Thoughts?
Welllll they officially bumped my due date to July, however, because of my chronic hypertension they won’t let me go past 38 weeks, the last week of June, so is it ok if I stay here?
@doxiemoxie212 isn't funny how sometimes for men you have to break it down in a way that makes sense in their mind. He totally got the 1/3. Haha glad he saw it your way.
@stephcat421 I don’t know about false female results but I was talking to my US tech about false results (male that was actually female) the other day and *TW loss mentioned* she said she has heard of that happening in a pregnancy that started as a twin pregnancy but only one baby was viable and the one who wasn’t was a male *end TW*. The other time she said was a case where the mother had received an organ transplant years prior from a male donor and some of his DNA was present in her blood! I thought that was so interesting/crazy!
@doxiemoxie212- I would go black...very neutral, won't stain, and both pink and blue will pop next to it...and black is classic
With my 1st I was told boy first (not via genetic testing, at an early ultrasound place specific for gender reveals). That was at 15 weeks. I went to my 20 week anatomy scan and the tech asked if I wanted to know the gender (hubs couldn't make that apt)...told her we already knew it was a boy, yadda yadda...she was hem-hawing around and finally said she didn't think it was a boy and was very confident I was having a girl. Told my doc, he said if I wanted to be 100% sure to come back in at 23 weeks (instead of 24) and he would do another ultrasound himself, off the books...Sure enough, 100% girl. (also called the ultrasound place the same day, they got me in asap for a do-over and confirmed girl). Via ultrasound if it is early the girly-bits can be swollen and look like boy-bits
@doxiemoxie212 I'm also fond of the idea of gray (deep gray, not like a light heather gray). But I may be biased because that's the color of half my wardrobe.

fingers crossed for our rainbow baby
1) no idea if the smoke bomb smoke stains
2) not pink or blue so it doesn't blend in with the smoke color lol
3) it's going to be freezing outside
I was originally thinking white, but i don't have anything white that I would be fine getting ruined...
