@stalkinghorse I am freaked about people touching my bump over the holiday. I'll be with DH's family, and they're throwing me a small shower on Friday. I'm showing a little, but there's mostly just belly fat to touch. Also I have an AP, so I'm not feeling movement yet, so there's no way they will feel anything. Ahhh!
@JJMNO1616 I would say something when you feel that you have the proof/justification that can support your argument (like @stalkinghorse mentioned). A man wouldn't thinking twice about touting his qualifications and asking for better pay, but we women doubt ourselves and worry that we're rocking the boat when we do it... And our bosses rarely expect it because women don't do it as often as men, so we're sometime perceived negatively when we do it. HOWEVER, If you have the data to back up your claim, shove it in their faces and demand a raise lady!!!

Thanks ladies. It's a little tricky with my profession because I don't have a great way of measuring my performance with the type of work I do. I'm a medical provider, so I basically come to work, see my patients, and complete my documentation. I always have everything completed in a timely manner but other then that I don't have anyway of really comparing my performance to that of my co-workers with actual numbers. It also appears that I do make within the appropriate "salary range" that is set for my job title with my level of experience. However, it still seems like I am making less then other people I know in the department who have the same amount of experience as I do. So without having everyone's resumes in front of me it's really hard for me to make a case for myself ya know? I think I may consider having a conversation with my boss about it at some time in the future I just have to decide how to approach it.
So another random... I have twin sisters and today while talking to my mom she informed me that she didn't find out she was having twins until she was 8 MONTHS pregnant. I know this was almost 30 years ago and technology has drastically improved but the thought that I could be having twins and just don't know about it yet is absolutely terrifying. This is made worse by people who keeping asking if there are two in there.
@JJMNO1616 My grandmother had twins (one is my mom) and didn't know til they were born...ahhhh! Now that was 56 yrs ago, but still, lol. I think today, if they miss twins the whole pregnancy, they are pretty crappy technologists. I don't think you have to worry!!
@kmalls sorry for the delay. Oh I don't have any recommendations for tights but I will say going up a few sizes in regular ones do not work. I tried it a week ago for a wedding and they were still too tight on my stomach. Hopefully you find some good ones.
All of this research looks really preliminary, but what an interesting idea! And it does make sense that the traditional idea that eggs are passive participants in the process was based on (outdated) gender norms.
@JJMNO1616 my SIL is a twin and her mom had the same experience- found out there were two at 8 months. Even crazier though, they let her go three weeks late with them!! This was almost 40 years ago, but still blows my mind.
@ekendall09 no way! We almost went there this morning but decided not to because it was so cold and DD couldn’t really do anything there. How funny would that have been, though?! We threw the kids in the car and went to Jordan’s for their Enchanted Village and Polar Express movie ride. Huge fail. DS was terrified of the Christmas displays and was two inches too short for the Polar Express. Womp womp.
@JJMNO1616 Do you have patient satisfaction scores? I know it all depends on who fills out the surveys for who, but maybe you could use that data
I honestly have no idea. Our patients are given surveys to fill out so I wouldn't be surprised if we have a score but as far as I know those numbers aren't shared with us. I just had my yearly review and patient satisfaction scores were not included in the process at all.
