I enjoy following this board on a daily basis, there is sure a lot going on! It is nice that this month is spread out, a couple have finished stims and at ER phase already. Then @dragonette505 and @emmasemm who are almost done and hopefully both will be triggering soon (fingers crossed you both get good reports on Friday).
@zwink1 and @mac627 Good luck getting started with stims, I am only a couple days behind you both hopefully. My progesterone was high at my suppression check (1.6, does anyone know why this could happen?) but the RE said I should be able to move ahead. I ordered meds and they should be delivered today, Saturday I just have to go for a recheck of progesterone and then should be able to start the stims that night! So excited to get this show on the road and hopefully finish up right before or after Thanksgiving. It is a little stressful that the end will fall so close to the holiday (as I really don't want ER to fall on that Wednesday or Thanksgiving itself), but we all know we can't plan this process and so I am trying to relax and just get ready to start this next round!
@steph8986 congrats on the ER, can't wait to hear maturity and fertilization report today!
@mac627 Good luck with your HSG today! @steph8986 Hope you are feeling good today - FX for a great fert report! @dragonette505 Hope you can get some rest and just coast to the finish line Good luck at your appointment tomorrow - hopefully trigger is right around the corner!

I have a question I hope some of you ladies might know more about than me:
ICSI and AH - my RE has basically left it up to me to decide if we want to use those techniques or not. She said we can go either way. *TW* She thinks because we've had both spontaneous fertilization and fertilization through IUI before, I don't necessarily need ICSI */TW*. She also said there is a slightly greater chance of embryo abnormality with ICSI. I am torn because I don't necessarily want to use intervention where it may not be needed, but at the same time, want to take advantage of a free cycle of IVF and have as many eggs fertilize as possible. Because this is our first IVF and we are unexplained (with a strong inclination that it's an egg quality issue), we really have no idea what our fertilization rate will be (DH has normal-low count and morphology but not so bad it's of concern). She also suggested that we can let half the eggs fertilize normally and fertilize the other half with ICSI and it would give us a good comparison in case we need to make this decision again in the future. Anyone have any insight?
Hopefully we end up with blasts to transfer - if we do, what are your thoughts on AH?

@baseballhoney YAY for an awesome ER! 17 is great. Rest up! @dragonette505 REally hoping you can trigger tomorrow! @bethann1022 My RE didn't check progesterone at baseline, so not sure on your question. Glad you are getting rolling though! @tosh24 My RE thankfully pushed ICSI for us and we didn't have a hard time making any decisions, because I trust her completely. We've never had a confirmed fertilization, though, and DH morphology was on the low side of normal. Your case sounds more complicated, in your shoes, I might opt for the 50/50 option? @emmasemm Any idea how many follies are growing yet, or was your next appt tomorrow? I can't remember..
AFM Just waiting on my fert report. Dr. texted that she had good news for us, and would call with details after all of her ER procedures this morning. Waiting sucks...haha.

@steph8986, FX your six keep on growing! Hope you're feeling ok.
@tosh24, we didn't have a choice about whether to do ICSI since our primary problem is MFI, but I've heard a lot of people go the 1/2 & 1/2 route, depending on how many eggs they get.
I was feeling like I had read up and prepared myself well for this stim thing...so far, that seems to be mostly true. What I was NOT anticipating, I have no idea why, was having to deal with my normal, crappy pms cramps while stimming. Wtf.
@zwink1 I'm feeling great, just very bloated. No pain though.

@laurad75 so glad you got some more sleep! 6 hours is pretty good! @bethann1022 heres hoping your ovaries behave and you don't have to retrieve on the holiday, but who knows! Maybe some special Thanksgiving magic will make special embies! @tosh24 I'm an icsi girl... My first cycle I did regular fertilization and we did fine, but I just don't like to leave it to chance! @baseballhoney OMG! such a good number! Cant wait for the fert report! @steph8986 That's amazing!!! Almost all of your matures fertilized! @zwink1 When you think about it, the cramps make sense... normally I get Ovulation pain and cramps and etc for just one egg... imagine now however many you are growing! Its a wonder we aren't all moody messes (well.. I kinda am!!) lol @emmasemm hows it going??? any monitoring today??? AFM So tired and of course nervous I'm going to get to monitoring and he says: "a few more days" again waaaaaaa. I wouldn't mind triggering Saturday if need be, but I don't wanna go much longer
@dragonette505 sorry you don’t get to trigger yet! That’s annoying! Hope you’re ready soon.
@tosh24 my doctor told me I didn’t need to do icsi so I don’t know too much about it but it sounds like 50/50 might be a good option for you! I hate making decisions so I don’t envy you having to decide!
@bethann1022 I’m with you on the thanksgiving thing! I’m looking at a possible transfer around then and I’m really looking forward to visiting my family for the holiday so I’m hoping it works out too. But whatever we have to do right??
I had my third HSG today. Sooooooo uncomfortable. Ugh. Lots of cramping. Hope it doesn’t last too long. I have enough going on with the stims right? But it went well - everything looks good. And I already have some follies creeping up to 14! Eek! They want me to start ganirelex tomorrow morning! I’ve only been stimming since Tuesday. Now of course my ER is potentially moved up to next Wednesday or Thursday. This seems so soon to me but I responded quickly during my IUI cycles too so I guess that’s about right.
@mac627 Thanks... I don't yet know if I wont trigger (I'm just a pessimist, so I assume I wont be ready..lol) if you trigger on Tuesday it will be 8 days stimming (which isn't far off from the typical 10)...that's not too fast
Wow this seems like a very active group! I'm jumping on the bandwagon. We were planning on resuming fertility treatments in January 2018 but several twists in fate have turned our course. I'm starting stims tonight for IVF#3, we will be freezing all our blasts and sending for PGS. Instead of doing a fresh transfer we will be transferring a PGS normal frostie from IVF#2 5 days after the retrieval.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and catch up on your stories. Best of luck to all

hey all! Had monitoring this morning and OF COURSE its not clear if I will trigger tonight or tomorrow. My regular doc is on vaca this week so the doc i'm working with doesn't get to make the decision... it will also possibly matter what my E2 is since I'm prone to OHSS.. my last E2 was 2100 and right now they are able to measure 19 follies... 8 or 9 of them are ready to go (and in fact if I don't trigger tonight, its possible I will lose 2 as atretic) the next group of 4 or so would be fine with one more day, and the next largest group need about 2 days... so its a really weird spread. This doc said theres a case to be made on either triggering today or tomorrow... we will have to wait and see what my doc thinks when she weighs in...
2MomsHoping ! Best of luck and happy stimming! @dragonette505 Hoping you can still trigger tonight! crossing my fingers your doc lets you! @emmasemm Whoo HOOO for 3 follies! That's fantastic. Hoping they grow well for you over the weekend! @baseballhoney Anxiously awaiting your fert report! Are you recovering well? @cmiller73 Yay for almost ready to start! When is your baseline?
AFM I recovered well. Had no pain or nausea at all (doc says I was lucky) Just bad bloating. Hoping this is the worst of it and it will start going back down (clothes so tight). I'm ready to get back to the gym and knock off the weight I've gained over the last month. I've got 8 weeks until we start Estrogen for our FET. Plus I need something to do this weekend so I don't obsess over my embryos too much. No control over this part sucks. I should hear how they are doing tomorrow morning at day 3.

@steph8986 I am alright. I have some cramping which hurts, but expected and some bloating. I didn't get any nausea, which I am super happy about. They didn't tell me the exact number that fertilized. They will tell me on Tuesday when I have my transfer. They don't tell me the number since it can change between now and then and don't want to stress us out (even though I think this may be worse!) lol. They say no news is good news.
@steph8986 glad you are feeling well! I've thrown up a few times immediately upon getting up from retrieval (not fun) so you are def lucky! Cant wait to hear your embies are growing! @baseballhoney whaaaaaaaaaaa OMG id be dying... lol I am considering forgoing the day 3 report this time, but I for sure want fert numbers! I'm sure its fine, but id be dying
@mac627 I triggered super quick last cycle, so sometimes it can happen that way! And my egg was perfectly mature at so fast doesn't necessarily mean low maturity or poor quality. Maybe we will be doing ER around the same day.
@2momshoping welcome and fx this is your cycle. The approach from your clinic is really interesting - you get the best of both worlds - transferring a tested embryo but not missing a hopefully great lining from this cycle and avoiding extra standalone FET prep. Creative :-)
@cmiller73 yaaaaaaay!!! So pleased you're joining us!
@dragonette505 thanks and please keep the grow grow grow chants coming! And what did your doctor say in the end? Triggering today or tomorrow??? What is it with all the doctors being out of office today??? Several others said this too today, is there a big conference on somewhere???
@tosh24 I think if you can afford it then no harm doing half half to balance chances and money. When are you getting started again?
@steph8986 that's good that you had no big issues after ER. Though I know what you mean about tight clothes! Keeping everything crossed for your day 3 update tomorrow! Come on the 6!
@baseballhoney I really don't think I could handle only finding out when I went in on transfer day, not even knowing the fert number before. But then again you had a great crop of 17 so I guess they are very confident you will have plenty of options to transfer. For me it was different last time as I only had one so they had to tell me if I still had anything to transfer or not.
@bethann1022 have you started stimming now? Fx It works out with the holiday plans!
AFM suffering even more tonight. Tiredness, cramps, bloating - and even the constipation is hitting me now. I feel like I'm ticking of things from a text book on IVF side effects... But for today injections done, had a big hearty steak for dinner (as per my acupuncturist) and have another appointment with her before retrieval. As for the weekend, I will be mostly sleeping on the couch!

@emmasemm I think its really a good sign that you are getting these symptoms so strongly this cycle! Maybe those eggs are really picking up! I went from 18- 25 from Wednesday to today, so they can jump in size too! I cant believe I haven't heard from my doc (and yes, I'm still stalking funkeykey in the NOV-FET thread! Wheres her doctor too???) I would freak out if they are all last minute telling me to trigger... lol
@emmasemm I'm sorry you have so many side effects. Hopefully it means big things are happening this cycle for you!
I am kind of freaking out not knowing, but trying not to think about it. They told me no news is good news so I am trying to focus on that and keep myself busy. I'm a worrier though. My DH is pretty good at helping me out with that though, so luckily we will be together most of the weekend. Lol
@dragonette505 what is with these docs?! She just needs to call you. And these eggs better bloomin we'll grow over the weekend! I'm not feeding their drug habit for no benefit ;-)
Oh. You can add hopefuljj from the low AMH thread to the list of people with AWOL doctors too... maybe they're all on their own conference taking about us lol. Weird. It's like doctor Bermuda Triangle...

@baseballhoney I totally get it in one way... I almost sometimes wish I didn't know total eggs collected because they are like 17 retrieved ...8 mature (womp womp) and you go from: to
@emmasemm OMG how funny!! I bet they are talking smack about our ovaries! lol I got my bloodwork update, but nothing else!!! WTF!! lol they are killing me!
lol.. its one of my fave things on here...I use giphy because its easy... if you go to giphy https://giphy.com/ and search for a gif you can click on the gif, then to the right you get the option to copy link. Copy it and then come back here and on the selection above your post draft theres that thing that looks like a pic with mountains and the sun. Click on that then paste the link and hit enter...
@baseballhoney that’s crazy they won’t tell you anything! Hope you’re pleasantly surprised
I’m feeling better thanks! Just really tired. Glad it’s the weekend! Started the ganirelix this morning and man! What a dull needle. Who made this crap?? Ouch.
@cmiller73 ugh being on hold with all these pharmacies, doctors and insurance sucks! My pharmacy won’t even deliver on Sunday or Monday. It’s impossible! When do you start stimming?
Re: November IVF
@steph8986 Hope you are feeling good today - FX for a great fert report!
@dragonette505 Hope you can get some rest and just coast to the finish line

Wtf.

I kinda am!!) lol
@emmasemm hows it going??? any monitoring today???
AFM So tired and of course nervous I'm going to get to monitoring and he says: "a few more days" again
@baseballhoney glad your ER went well!

My Rainbow Baby Boy born 03Jan2019
@dragonette505 that sucks you are in trigger purgatory:( hopefully you get an answer soon!
@dragonette505 Hoping you can still trigger tonight!

@laurad75 hope the improved sleep continues!
@zwink1 how's it going?

I cant believe I haven't heard from my doc (and yes, I'm still stalking funkeykey in the NOV-FET thread! Wheres her doctor too???) I would freak out if they are all last minute telling me to trigger... lol
I am kind of freaking out not knowing, but trying not to think about it. They told me no news is good news so I am trying to focus on that and keep myself busy. I'm a worrier though. My DH is pretty good at helping me out with that though, so luckily we will be together most of the weekend. Lol
Oh. You can add hopefuljj from the low AMH thread to the list of people with AWOL doctors too... maybe they're all on their own conference taking about us lol. Weird. It's like doctor Bermuda Triangle...
