Re: Cravings/ Whatcha eating

  • I had a terrible need for spaghetti-oos, haven't had those in years!  Went and bought a four pack of the cans  :D

  • @k318 I tried them this weekend and wasn’t a fan. I was so disappointed because I LOVE their nuggets.

Ive been craving camabert! I think I might make some this weekend to eat with some bread and fruits/veggies

Pizza. And the brookie that Domino’s brought back. And then pasta. Basically this kid loves carbs and I get heartburn from all the things.

Editted because TB has a worse autocorrect than my iPhone.
  • I just had the chicken lettuce wraps from PF Chang’s. Soooo good!
  • I was going carb heavy with the pizza and pasta all first trimester. This week I decided to try to take it a little easy on the carbs. I pulled out my juicer and made a delicious concoction. Apple, cucumber, kale, and lemon. It was yummy! I'm making turkey burgers with avocado mash & sweet potato fries for dinner. Hopefully I can keep this up all week and reward myself with pizza this weekend. Lol
  • @leilaquinn That sounds like a fair trade to me!!
  • Just tater tots. All the time.
  • I'm still on my whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter and siggi's yogurt in the morning. It's soooo good. I did freak myself out a little bit because my MIL asked if I was still eating peanuts b/c of allergies and I said "Um yes I eat a ton of peanut butter every morning." I haven't double checked myself but I thought the research now says it's good to eat potential allergens during pregnancy?
  • Milk...all the milk, as cold as I can get it!
  • @npkat That's what I thought, but it's good to hear! Thank you for the link! Ugh I hate eggs though, so I'm definitely not eating those except when they're in baked goods.

Does anyone have advice for sneaking eggs into my diet? I've tried them every which way and I can't stand them when not pregnant, so I have a feeling I'll like them even less if I tried to start now.
  • @ksmwalters I dislike eggs as well. I always scramble one with parm cheese and throw it in boiling chicken noodle soup. Or on an egg sandwich. If the egg is fried I can stand to eat it once a week.

@ksmwalters @kalawa I also hate eggs! Even when they're baked into something, if it's a recipe with a lot of eggs, I can smell them and don't want to eat it! I just find other ways to get protein into things.

edit b/c yes to the tater tots! Ate some for lunch today. I've been careful to keep it to an actual serving instead of a huge mound of them. LOL

  • @ksmwalters Chicken fried rice at your local Chinese place most likely will scramble an egg in there and you can't even tell.
  • @ksmwalters @kalawa I can't eat eggs straight either. I can do it if it's in a breakfast taco with lots of salsa, or on a breakfast sandwich with cheese. My husband likes eggs, bacon, and toast sometimes for breakfast, and I just can't do the eggs by themselves. I need all the salsa to make them palatable.
  • @fatstagnation I had exactly a serving and a half, carefully counted out!
  • I’m regretting my choice of Burger King for lunch today but really looking forward to the chicken broccoli and pasta bake we have tonight as leftovers. Yum. And I have been wanting chili for a week so that’s happening this weekend.

@mdfarmchick chili here this weekend too! It's supposed too be in the 30s tomorrow and Saturday, which sucks big time, but... perfect chili weather.

  • Bought 100 box of Halloween candy 2 weeks ago and between me and DH we are halfway through  :s  It is more his fault than mine...

Watching Stranger Things season 2 and in episode 1, there is a dinner scene with KFC. Well, now we paused it and grabbing KFC. Omgosh I'm sorry baby but I'm drooling....I will make it up to you this weekend with lots if veggies, whole wheat foods and fruits.
  • @nancysimp, I just had to come here to see your donut again after seeing it in randoms. Yum!!
  • Yes @ksmwalters to the English muffin with peanut butter! I’ve been eating one every morning the last few weeks before work smothered with as much peanut butter as I can spread on there! So delicious!
  • I make little pizzas on bagels at least once a day. My two favourite foods right now, all in one!
  • @becausescience, those peanut butter snickers are my jam!!  We went trick or treating last night and my toddler had so much fun.  But he hates candy, sooooooo.... :)
***March '18 October Siggy Challenge: Halloween Costume Fails***

  • Carrots and hummus!! I guess it’s not that weird since that combo was/is one of my fave late night tipsy snacks, but MAN I’ve been eating a ton of it lately.

Smarties candy!  Had one little pack yesterday and now that's all I want and I'm VERY tempted to go out and buy a bag of them to keep in my work candy stash

Edit: I don't normally have such a sweet tooth but I do right now which is part of why I guessed I was having a girl because I had a lot of sweet cravings when I was pregnant with DD!

  • The only thing that sounds good is Chick-fil-A and it’s a 30-40 minute drive.
  • Just give me all the Halloween candy. I'm
going to eat it anyway so you might as well just give it to me now.
  • @mdfarmchick when my husband was gone for nine months doing training for his job, some days I would just need to get out of the house so badly that I drove 45 minutes just to get Dairy Queen.

One time I made the drive just to find out they were closed for the season.
  • Tuna salad sandwiches are all I want to eat. It's taking will power to stay within the limitations of how much we're allowed to eat.
  • Trying so hard to be good but I want a nice big cheeseburger right now and onion rings. I just don't know why I want fast food....prob once a week. What the heck! I guess its the salt and juicy meat.... :(:(
  • @HappyMonkey817 - couldn't agree more with the tuna salad craving. I was craving tuna casserole the other day (I've never even had tuna casserole).

I think it's the mayo for me, I'm a mayo and sour cream freak since being prego!
  • I gave in and got a cheeseburger, fries and gravy. Drooooool
