Testing: BFN this morning and feeling bummed about it
Typical LP Length: 12 days
Rant/Rave: BFN this morning and I’m at a low point. This was our first month using OPKs and I was really hopeful. Starting to feel like something is wrong but my cycles are regular so that has to count for something, right?
CS/Q: None
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad!
I had roommates in college and my first couple of years out of college. One roommate drove me crazy because she’d never buy things like TP which we of course both used. At one point I had my own roll in my room and I let the TP run out to force her to buy some. This backfired on me. She started using paper towels and I had to tell her not to do that or the toilet would back up!
Editied because I didn’t answer my own GTKY. I’m a mess. Lol
Timing: probably totally off due to late ovulation
Testing: bfn yesterday
Typical LP Length: 14 days
Rant/Rave: Pretty sure I ovulated like 10 days later than normal around cd28-30. We did bd on cd26 tho.. so I mean maybe? I've also had what seems like the flu for 2 weeks! And some really weird constant metal taste in my mouth. Should get AF tomorrow I think? I'm so off this cycle.. irregular cycles suck
CS/Q: Am I doing this post right? Forgive my noob-ness, I read the "intro for dummies" I swear. I used to lurk the WTE forums but it's just not my cup of tea anymore.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad!
Never lived with a roommate before, other than boyfriends or my husband. But they don't really count as roommates do they
@jaylii ((Hugs)). TTC is so emotionally difficult. Are you under 35?
Month/Cycle: 4/5+1ntnp CD/DPO: FF says 18/6, I say 18/5. Timing: Better than other months (2 successes +1 attempt in FW by either interpretation) R/R: Sick. Behind on work. Love love MH. He was super sweet last might & came to my bed, laid beside me, & put his hand in my back He started a crock pot for dinner for today and took me for OrangeLeaf last night. GTKY: I lived with 3 sister immediately after college. They were pretty sheltered. Their parents tended to do a lot for them. Each month, when I was time to pay rent & utilities, at least one of them would have to rewrite the check or ask for help filling it out. One time, I had put snail-mail out to be mailed. I got home and it was on the table. Roommate said, “You got mail today!” Uhhhhh. Her reasoning was my name was in the upper corner.
@jrm_14 Thanks for the support. I never imagined how emotional all this would end up being. Oh and I’m 32.
I’m over analyzing everything these days, one being my weight. I’m about 25lbs over a normal BMI. I’ve never been at that BMI weight my entire adult life no matter how much I’ve tried. Wondering if this could be a problem. Anyone have thoughts or experiences on this?
Editing to add: Is anyone having problems with the bump website the last couple of days. I log in but when I go to post it just directs me back to the main bump page. I’m having to use mobile. So aggravating!
@jaylii I was going to ask the same as @jrm_14 - how old are you? And have you had other cycles less than 28 days? Don't want to freak you out, but I've had very regular 28-34 day cycles for years and years, no big issues, no drama, all PMS and AF symptoms well within normal ranges... and now I am diagnosed DOR. And still have completely normal cycles (except this one as the meds screwed me up, but that's not my body's fault). So just because you have text book cycles does not mean there is nothing going on necessarily. If you're 35 I would suggest already booking to see an RE for testing at 6 months - you can always cancel it if you're successful in between. And sorry if I do freak you out, but better to know to get tested sooner. I waited far too long to get my AMH and AFC checked as nobody told me what is possible, and it's really such a simple thing. Personally I think all ladies should have the routine fertility blood work done by their OBs with their annual Pap smears, and an AFC. I think just by spending 2 more minutes they would catch so many more issues and save so many ladies years of heartache. Ok getting off soap box now.
@nikknak I don't think I've been on a thread with you before so welcome! Seems like you have quite a long journey there too!
@jrm_14 awww your DH sounds so great! And sounds like you lived with some girls who had a very sheltered life!!!
Month/Cycle: 31/30
CD/DPO: 15/1-5 neither FF or me has a clue to be honest...
Timing: if it's 4 or 5 DPO it's good otherwise it's non existent as I am currently 9000km away from DH...
Testing: Nope as the vampire doctors take my blood several times a week at the moment and I'm pretty sure they would see it first and mention it. Also, TBH after 30 bloomin cycles it would literally be a miracle. And this week I'm not believing in miracles. Though I reserve the right to change my mind.
Typical LP Length: 14-16
Rant/Rave: Missed the call from my RE about me being sick and if the bloods from Friday show any possible causes (I'm worried about my liver now after spending most of the night on Google...). So need to wait for them to call back again as when I called they were busy... On the other hand I took some Chinese herbs to stop feeling nauseous and they worked long enough for me to enjoy dinner and a river cruise in Shanghai tonight!
CS/Q: Nope, chart is a mess with the illness and traveling across multiple time zones.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad! I had to think and think - and no I never lived with a roommate! Only at my parents, together with boyfriends, alone and with my husband! Though I once scared myself so bad living alone that I moved in with two friends and their kids for three weeks until I could have the locks changed and security cameras fitted... Had a semi stalker and decided to watch I know what you did last summer... haven't done that again... and the stalker stopped when he got a new girlfriend...

@jaylii the last 2 years I have been slightly over a BMI of 25. Somewhere someone (that was super specific, huh?) mentioned BMI doesn’t impact fertility as much until you’re at a BMI around 30-35? Could totally be misquoting that. BMI is a ridiculous measure anyways. Have you ever seen a dietician to check in on healthy habits? Another guide is 100lbs plus 4-6lbs for every inch over 5ft, for women. And yes, the website has been not working wel in desktop. Not to mention those awful ads in mobile. What’s up with that, @BumpAdmin? I feel there should be a way to make me see all geico ads, at the very least, on certain boards vs others.
@emmasemm I’m 32. My cycles for the past few months have been 27-30 days. Guess I might make an appointment if we continue to not have any luck.
@jrm_14 If I go by that second way of calculating weight, I’m 40lbs overweight, yikes. lol I haven’t seen a nutritionist before but I could. I eat mostly vegetarian, unprocessed diet as is though.
Rant/Rave: I am literally so pumped for the next 2 months. Parties this weekend, seeing Book of Mormon next weekend, Halloween, a trip to Morocco and starting IVF and Thanksgiving! Its gonna be so busy and so good!

I loved in a sorority house for 3 years. I have many, many stories.

@jaylii - I wrote my final paper for English last year on the effects of weight on fertility. I found a lot of resources that showed a correlation, and a lot of resources that showed there wasn't a correlation. BMI is a horrible "calculator" for health, as is the "normal weight" ranges. There are a lot of people who fall outside the "norms" who are perfectly healthy, and you wouldn't guess they're heavier by looking at them. The only thing I ever found in my research that was consistent was that if your BMI is in the obese+ category/you're severely overweight, then it starts to impact your fertility. Your healthy habits and lifestyle means a lot more than the number on the scale.
@kiwi2628 - wow that is an action packed few months! Where are you going to in Morocco? We went to Agadir 1.5 years ago and had a day trip to Marrakech
And please tell some sorority house stories! I'm a Brit and we're obsessed with what we think you all get up to in them! Like naked pool parties every night...

Rant/Rave: Got the entire house picked up this morning since we’re having it sprayed for bugs. Moving from a semi arid desert to the South is a big culture shock. I forgot how many bugs exist in life.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad!
3 different roommates in college, a house of girls senior year, and then 3 weirdly compiled people when I started my job after college.
My 2nd roommate had to leave school. Long story short, she was an extreme pathological liar and got caught in her lies. A close family friend of knew her uncle. I asked him about the family dynamics and he assured me my suspicions were pretty spot on. It was a doozy for a 19 yr old to deal with. Now she’s studying to be a doctor.
@emmasemm We are going to Marrakech for 4 days, then up into the high Atlas mountains and then to Madrid (Spain) for a day. As for sororities- no naked pool parties. A lot of drinking, theme parties with frats (ABC parties- anything but clothes, so you come up with a costume that is not clothing. For example, one year I made a crop top and a skirt made entirely of condom wrappers. One guy wrapped a garden hose around his junk. One guy worse just a sock. Or toga parties are a classic. Highlighter parties- where everyone where a white shirt and writes on each other in highlighters and the room is lit up by blacklights). We would have beer olympics. We all gossiped so we all knew who was sleeping with who, who had slept with who etc.. We would have lock ins where we would all spend a night at home in the house and just hang out, do mani/pedi's, gossip (more) and watch movies. It was so much fun. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
@jaylii I'm sorry you're having a rough ttc day. I never knew how emotional this process would be when we started! You haven't been trying for too long yet, so probably it's just too early. If you do want to get any testing out of the way, one thing to think about is having YH do an SA. Even if you have to pay out of pocket it's relatively cheap, non-invasive, quick, and diagnoses about half of IF issues. Just remember that you don't have to go through all of this alone! We're all here with you, and feel free to PM me with questions or rants at any time. *hugs* @emmasemm Your trip looks amazing! Is YH there with you yet?
@darkstar42 good idea with the SA And DH joins me Saturday - can't wait!

GTKY: I also lived in a sorority house with >50 "roommates" in college for 2 years so I feel like that will be as nuts as my roommate situation ever gets. What house were you in @kiwi2628 ?
@jaylii hoping regular cycles count for something- I feel like that is the one thing I have making me hopeful right now (although @emmasemm it is so helpful to learn from your experience that it doesn't necessary mean there is nothing else going on). Hoping for better news for you in the next day or two!
@izza2 thanks for the research on BMI. That metric always drove me nuts because I am about 15-20lbs over where I should be but even with my recent weight gain am still a size 8 (which doesn't seem huge) so its always really demoralizing for me. Hoping it is not a factor...
@emmasemm Yes, thank you I am new. I tried to avoid the forums for most of our TTC journey, but I'm starting to feel a bit lonely now after almost 2 years TTC, to be honest. Sounds a bit pathetic maybe but it's nice just to have other ladies to talk to who are going thru similar things, and I like reading others stories
Found a quarter sized wood spider or wolf spider. Not sure which and not wanting to spend an hour googling pictures of spiders. At least it’s harmless.
@jaylii: Sorry about the BFN. I had a roommate that wouldn’t buy anything because I had a Costco membership and she expected me to just pick it up. Fortunately, she didn’t use paper towels. Wow.
@jrm_14: I’m not familiar with Orange Leaf. Is it a pick your toppings type froyo place? Those roommates seem like a fun exercise in patience. Or a TLC show.
@emmasemm: That picture is gorgeous. I hope the cruise was incredible.

Ive had a few roommate experiences. They were all good except one where this chick tried to fight me when I took her keys away because her boyfriend was drunk at a bar needing picked up. She was wasted too. It was actually pretty funny when this tiny hammered girl punched me in the face. It felt like barely a smack that’s how drunk she was. She kicked me out. I don’t regret taking her keys away.

*visiting from wto* @suzycupcake I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! *hugs* Please feel free to PM if you need to talk. I've been through that myself.
@nikknack. Hi! Welcome . If if is apathetic for you to want to talk to others, then we would all be in the same boat . The power of human connection can be so helpful! @lunapup. Yes, it is a froyo place! They have limited dairy-free options which irrationally irritates me. They have my aavoritr gummy bears, though, and the sore throat won out for something cold! @suzycupcake ((Hugs))
@darkstar42 Sorry, I'm just responding now. Long day at work and I can only use mobile there. I really appreciate your support. I absolutely agree that I never realized how emotional this process would be. I naively thought we'd conceive easily. I think I'm going to take a temping break next month. My CM and OPKs should give us good timing. In general going to try and chill a bit more for the sake of my own sanity. @devilcat139@lunapup Thank you both for your support. You made my hard day a bit better.
I tried to post earlier--but stupid TB wasn't working. And mobile bumping is so hard! @jaylii i'm so sorry, it is so hard. I still remember my first positive OPK and I swore it would be my month. treat yourself well this weekend. @Nikknak welcome! @jrm_14 awe, i'm glad you're MH is spoiling you @emmanemm oh that sounds like a great cruise. MH was just at the House of Rooselvelt for dinner the yesterday with a view of the river. Did you have good food? @kiwi2628 love Book of Mormon! sounds like a great 2 months! @lunapup love the timing GIF and gross, i hate bugs. maybe i should get my ass in gear and clean my home this weekend. @suzycupcake I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. wishing you peace during this time.

@jaylii I know this is hard, but try not to borrow too much trouble thinking something is wrong. Its not a club you wanna be a part of. I have seen quite a few people come and go in my many, many, many months on this site, and quite a few get BFPs on cycle 5, 6 or 7, especially if they were temping/using OPKs for the first few cycles.
I’m a mess. Lol
Month/Cycle: Estimating 21/18
CD/DPO: cd41/11-13dpo maybe?
But they don't really count as roommates do they
Month/Cycle: 4/5+1ntnp
CD/DPO: FF says 18/6, I say 18/5.
Timing: Better than other months (2 successes +1 attempt in FW by either interpretation)
R/R: Sick. Behind on work. Love love MH. He was super sweet last might & came to my bed, laid beside me, & put his hand in my back
GTKY: I lived with 3 sister immediately after college.

*hugs*
@emmasemm Your trip looks amazing! Is YH there with you yet?
And DH joins me Saturday - can't wait!

Timing: again based on app (may be way off) -5 -3 -2 0 +1...basically tried CD 8,9,10,12,13,15,16,17 so hoping we hit it?
Testing: still holding strong waiting for Monday
Typical LP Length: not sure yet- app guesses 13
Rant/Rave: Got irrationally excited because my boobs were sore yesterday, then realized CD20 was the same day last month that started. Feeling nothing else otherwise but starting to feel like its not gonna happen this month already
CS/Q: None for now
GTKY: I also lived in a sorority house with >50 "roommates" in college for 2 years so I feel like that will be as nuts as my roommate situation ever gets.
Wow.
@Nikknak: Hi and welcome!

@suzycupcake I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! *hugs* Please feel free to PM if you need to talk. I've been through that myself.
@lunapup. Yes, it is a froyo place! They have limited dairy-free options which irrationally irritates me. They have my aavoritr gummy bears, though, and the sore throat won out for something cold!
@suzycupcake ((Hugs))
@devilcat139 @lunapup Thank you both for your support. You made my hard day a bit better.
@jaylii i'm so sorry, it is so hard. I still remember my first positive OPK and I swore it would be my month. treat yourself well this weekend.
@Nikknak welcome!
@jrm_14 awe, i'm glad you're MH is spoiling you
@emmanemm oh that sounds like a great cruise. MH was just at the House of Rooselvelt for dinner the yesterday with a view of the river. Did you have good food?
