@BusinessWife Interesting! I really like that table. That should come in handy for a future FET.
Although it will depend on the gender of the babe inside right now... and I know the genders of my blasts. Decisions!

@Hopeful_mom Yay! great numbers! I know the wait is hard, I hope you can find ways to stay distracted. Did they put you on a different kind of progesterone, like PIO? Or are you just monitoring progesterone?

ReesaAnne16 I was actually on both crinone and PIO. I was just doing 1ml of PIO every 3rd day in the beginning with crinone 2xa day. Then they wanted me to do the PIO every other day but the reaction was getting so bad to the crinone that Once I stopped the crinone, I am now doing PIO 2ml though now everyday. Anything to help my lil pnut!! How are you doing? How are you feeling? When is your next us?
@BusinessWife I literally just had the embryologist explain the difference and I'm drawing a blank I know you're concerned about the C but try not to stress, its just how it looks...so shes not as pretty who cares, she'll be the brightest star in the bunch

Hey Guys, all is well - just resting. Turns out there was a polyp but also a "thickened area" that they used some D&C technique to correct. So all is addressed now!
@dragonette505 - I was more worried that they would make me come in again if they couldn't address everything than I was that they'd do something I hadn't given them consent to do!
The wait for this procedure felt so long, and like there was so much "Oh wait! We'll need to delay again!" I was really hoping that there wouldn't be yet another delay, for any reason... But sounds like today went about as well as it could!
I will make some phone calls tomorrow re: the FET, and then I guess it's just on me to heal.
@BusinessWife - I think ours are 3-4BBs and 1-5BA or AB. (We have 4 in total). But I've been told to not pay it too much attention - a friend of mine had 3 frozen embies and the one they thought was least likely to make it is the one that gave them a beautiful, beautiful daughter. So, you really never know! And it sound like the grading of the embryos is, of all the things in this process, one of the biggest shots in the dark!
@Hopeful_mom great news! Keep taking care of yourself. The 16th will be here before you know it. @funkykey sounds like things went well and you're on to recovery and the next steps. Congrat lady. @BusinessWife sorry, i know nothing about grading. My clinic doesn't tell us. And I'm kind of ok with that bc i only really have1 maybe2 till work with, so i figue better not to know- just one more thing to worry about. If i were having to make a choice I'm sure or would be different. So sorry I'm no help. I totally get the being stressed by anesthesia. Any time I've had surgery i feel like build up is always worse than the actual event. About 8 years ago I had to get a tooth extracted and i was freaking out about it. TW when i had my d and c i came out apparently laughing and loudly proclaiming "I'm alive! I'm alive!" apparently i kept profusely thanking the anesthesiologist for bringing me back. i only vaguely remember the feeling but I've been told it was pretty funny. I guess i didn't realize how stressed i was about it.
Afm nothing to report. Just counting down the days until the 10th. Trying hard not to ss. Most off me feels like it's really unlikely this will work. Part off me is begging whatever god or universe is in control to please just work. People keep telling me how i just need to stay positive, but maybe self preservation kicks in after 3 years of trying to have a baby? Not sure. Alright it's4am. Must try to get back to sleep.

EDD 9/6/18 Baby boy born 9.11.18- the love of my life!
I have a grading question but I feel a little funny asking, because I don't want to be a total TW. I know sometimes people can find seeing other ladies' numbers and reports triggering while they are in cycle and I dont want to upset anyone if they aren't in the mood to see it. I legit have no experience here and I feel like a total ivf newb, so I hope this isn't an idiotic question.
*****TW**** blast grading reports ********
We got our grading back today from our second IVF cycle. The first time we had three frozen and we got a 4BB, 5AB, and 5AA, if I remember correctly. So that all seems pretty straightforward and pretty great!? And I know we talked about that here.
This time we have a 4AB, 5AB, and two that are each graded 6CB. So it's my understanding that the 6 part is great! They're fully hatched? But the CB part is what has me a little worried... Does anyone know if this is a bad indicator?
I know ultimately grading doesn't mean much, and when they choose which ones to transfer first, they're going to be looking at the embryoscope footage anyway. But that CB part just has me a little concerned.
Nope, not a bad indixator... The good thing also is the C is for the trophoblast (the outer area of the blastocyst that becomes the placenta). Its generally more desirable to have the ICM (inner cell mass) be the higher rated as that becomes the baby... (only when you are talking about low rating... when its A's and B's, its all good) at the same time.. I totally have a BC that I will be transferring and I'm not going to worry about it.... for all I know, if they had looked at it from a different angle, it would've been a B
Lots to catch up on!!! Wonderful news all around. I took a break from IVF happenings the last two weeks. It was nice just taking my estrogen pills and changing patches lol. I had a lot of out of town things and weddings WHEW!
So so glad to be back chatting with you ladies and im so so excited for your @Hopeful_mom !!!! That US is just a little ways away!!!
AFM, had my baseline US this AM and I’m scheduled for FET on 10/11! I start PIO injections Friday to prep and also continue estrace and patches. Me RE actually gave me the option to use the vaginal suppository or PIO. I had already been sent and picked up (aka paid for lol) the PIO so I’m just gonna do that. I want to avoid the suppositories. I keep getting mental imagines of the one time I had to use Monistat years back for a yeast infection and hating it LOL.
Hard to believe that just a little over a month ago we were all comparing our follie sizes!!

Also, @BusinessWife about the grading my clinic just gave me grades of 1-4. No letters at all. So so confusing lol congrats on the extra 4 fro-Yos!!

tnh0413 hey glad you enjoyed some down time. When I was just on estrace I would forget to take it all the time, its the worst. If you've kept up with my fire vag from the crinone I would actually go for the PIO especially if you've had issues with monistat in the past as I have too! good call!!! Looks like Oct is getting exciting over here
@funkykey so glad to hear all is well and everything should be good to go!! finally we are moving on to FET!!! Thats very exciting! Will you be able to start once AF arrives? What type of protocol will you be doing?
dragonette505 how are you feeling? Will you be starting a new cycle soon?
gfgrump I know staying positive is hard...even now its really hard! But I was told you need to envision you're future with your child. And the fact that i tested and didn't get a line right away when i thought by 7dpt i would didn't help the situation at all!! Hang in there!! Glad i'm not the only one up at 4am reading thebump

@Hopeful_mom Yeah, I actually just had an appointment with my scheduling nurse.... So far no changes... just looking for o (which I feel like is going to be late this cycle, because of course) and then I will start priming ahead of AF. She is going to get my meds ordered today as well.... possible bad news... my nurse told me that my doc saw a polyp when she did my post egg retrieval water sono, which this is the first I'm hearing about it
@dragonette505 Isn't a polyp the kind of thing they mention they're seeing while they're doing the sono? I would be so frustrated to have that dropped on me out of the blue. Did the nurse say what they wanted to do?
dragonette505 it sux that they see it but that shouldn't upset an IVF cycle right? Just annoying they didn't mention it to you as you could've taken care of it on your cycle off.

@Bababatty I was still mostly asleep since they did it during my retrieval (she also did a quickie pap smear as well since I was due) so I wouldn't have heard anything she said... just seems like it would have been reported to me... I also didn't notice it in my patient portal (though I did see my pap results when they came back).
It was weird, the nurse said: The doctor says you are planning to do a freeze all. and I was like, no I would like to transfer this time. She was like...oh, ok! You can if you like... the doctor did say she saw a polyp during your sono, but if its an issue she can take care of it if your transfer is not successful.
Que???
SO then she went on to ask if I had a preference for day 3 or 5 and said likely I can get on the schedule for day 3, but if the embies look good push it to 5
whet???
So is it maybe not in a bad place or not that big or what? I dunno... I'll see my doc next week probably so I guess we will talk then
@dragonette505. Thanks so much for the reassurance! But, more important, when was this sono???? Why is this the first time you're hearing about it?
@tnh0413. Welcome back!!! How exciting 10/11 Will be here so fast! It's incredible how much we've already been through together... fx for more good things to come. ❤
@Hopeful_mom@BusinessWife Bruh! I straight confused... I decided not to over-question the nurse since who the hell knows (she did some confusing stuff last cycle and I find its better to just follow up with the doc).
I should be seeing my doc next week so we will see, I guess.
Oh my God tell me about it. @dragonette505 I made the mistake of asking the nurse who called me about our crazy attrition, (17 mature, down to only 7 fertilized), and she started saying there can be an egg quality issue going on based on my diagnosis, and I was just like hold up WTF. I have no diagnosed thing here - we wouldn't be here if my husband had more than ZERO sperm in his wad. (Forgive me.) So this would be the first I'm hearing about some reason to expect a major egg quality issue on my end, too. WTF. She started to backpedal and recommended I ask the doctor about it. Yeah. I am gonna just do that. Holy moly.
Can you just call the doctor? Or email? I am waiting till a phone consult 10/12.
@funkykey@BusinessWife I'm going in on Tuesday so I'll just ask her then... not like anything is going to change before that.... just super annoys me @Businesswife I get it that they cant remember every little thing because they are working with tons of people, but you'd think they would have the highlight reel ready to roll before speaking to a patient!
@dragonette505 They can do that while you're out during the ER? If only my clinic had told me that so I didn't have to suffer through the SHG while awake! Now I know.... ANYWAY even if they couldn't tell you while you were out, that does seem to be the kind of thing they could tell you once you were coherent in recovery. The RE doing my ER told me I'd had a cyst masquerading as a follie, after I woke up. I think you're right that maybe it's not in a bad place and your RE doesn't feel it's an issue. Let us know what she says!
@BusinessWife OMG that nurse! WTF? Definitely get that one straightened out with your RE because not cool if the nurse is giving you bad info or they've given you an underlying diagnosis that you don't have. My first RE (who left the clinic) said in an appointment once that our problem was I don't ovulate. I was like, "Excuse me? We have precisely 0 indicators of that and very clear MFI." You'd think it would be really hard for a practitioner to misread a patient diagnosis, especially one that had never previously been brought up in all your months with your clinic.
@Bababatty I'm peeved but I'm not going to worry about it right now... plus, I'm pretty sure stressing wont shrink the little b*stard lol. With IVF everything is such a step by step thing.... I haven't even ovulated yet on this cycle.... I don't want to freak out just yet But I do think its cool she did all my GYN stuff while I was knocked out
dragonette505 i love she did all your gyno stuff wish mine did!!! Haven't been to a gyno since 12/15 so i'm overdue!! AND I was concerned with my vag having a yeast infection and they dont have the right swab to test for it seriously!!! how does that even make sense!
Glad you're not stressing it won't help and regardless should be able to be taken care of...hopefully quickly!! Yay for fresh transfers

@dragonette505 what??? Omg I hope it’s nothing. I would be so pissed to just randomly out of the blue hear that. I hope it doesn’t mess up anything with your scheduling! FX!!!
@BusinessWife when my RE called for our fert report a few weeks back (we had 11 down to 3 with ICSI..also same boat with MFI) she said overall it was the sperm quality that was the issue with fertilizing but a part of it could be egg quality as well. I said WHAT THE WHAT? I think she was saying the fert issue *could* be a multitude of issues, but in any case I didn’t ask her to elaborate bc I was just so focused on the 3. Maybe that’s what yours was meaning too? I just hope we all have good news from this point out

@tnh0413 Right. Cos then she was also saying how sperm selection is basically a "beauty contest" so maybe it's true that it was more the sperm side. :/ who knows
@ hopeful_mom I wasn't quite due, but they legit seem to just do whatever. They told me they were doing this right before I went to sleep! Lol @tnh0413 yeah, I guess I hope it's nothing, here's the email I just got from her (or part of it, it was long)
@dragonette505 I really hope it's a tiny insignificant one. They should have told you that before now. How do they expect you to make an informed decision about your transfer with no facts? Anyway you are right not to stress because it does not help anything. Hoping your consult with the doc goes well next week.

If my boobs aren't sore I start to think the worst. My tummy was bothering a few days earlier this week and it just worries me. Whether distracted or not all I do is think about this pnut. @Hopeful_mom I'm still seeing my RE every Tuesday. But it would only last a couple more weeks since they are sending my files over to the OB. The worry never stops! I'm pretty much symptom free and I have no idea what's going on inside me. When is your first ultrasound? You probably mentioned it before and I probably missed it!
My last appointment on Tuesday showed 9+3 and on track. I am 10w today. My first OB appointment is closer to 12w. I can't believe I've made it this far! It's so crazy to think how just this summer I was doing IVF and now pregnant. Still in so much shock.

Hey ladies! So I had to go in for baselines this morning, and my reports came back. Estrogen was at 50, progesterone was at 0.35, and of course, she had to let me know, that my pregnancy test was negative. I'm sitting here like, why are we even taking a pregnancy test??? Or if it's negative, do you really need to tell me that???
But anyway I get it because I'm about to start taking the BCPS. So I'm cleared to start those in preparation for my procedure on October 18th. She told me to just take the active pills, but then after that, I'm not sure what we're going to do in terms of scheduling the fet. I know I don't actually need a whole day off work I just need to be able to leave after the morning and have the afternoon free. So we'll see what that means in terms of BCPS and starting estrogen and stuff like that!

Technically my US is scheduled for 10/16 but I'm going to see if he'll see me this week. Are they doing an US at each visit??? Yay I did the spoiler box right
Where your at that lil pnut is really starting to look like a baby it's soooo exciting!!! It's tough as I'll need to find a new OB as mine no longer does deliveries or takes my insurance I don't want to jinx anything so I'm not even looking into yet. I think your story is great!!! It's such real hope in this crazy world of TTC!!! This Lil miracle was truly meant to be! You are one of the lucky ones that didn't have to worry in the very beginning cause u didn't know how great is that!!! glad things are uneventful and hope it continues to be that way!! @Hopeful_mom the waiting is just awful but the 16th is coming. Itll be great if they take you earlier. Ive been stuck inthe tww, beta on tuesdays. Some days im feeling really hopeful, other days like, why would this ever work for me? But ive been doing lots of guided meditation and trying really hard to envision it happening. The only symptoms have been cramping in the front of my abdomen/uterus area on friday and some today. Kind of a pulling feeling. Dont want to read too much into it though. And exhaustion but thats probably just not sleeping well.
On thursday night i had an awful panick attack. I had never really fully experienced that. My chest was tight, i couldnt calm down and i couldnt get back to sleep for like 4 hours. Finally decided i felt unsafe and needed to cuddle with my husband. I was kind of able to go back to sleep after that. Some of the chest tightness lasted through Friday until i got a 2 hour nap.
@helloworld9 sounds like everything is right on track, thats so awesome. Amazing how much can change in a few months.

Don't fret friend I had virtually no symptoms prior to my 7w ultrasound. Breast tenderness came and went, some minor cramping that would freak me out, but then go away, and thats about it. A few days before that date, I had some food aversion, but not true morning sickness. Even now I don't "feel" pregnant but we had an 8w3d ultrasound yesterday and the little jelly bean is growing perfectly! Hang in there... You're pregnant!! You've got to believe it!

@BusinessWife I recall having to do the HCG test too before taking BCP for IVF! It's like seriously, it's CD3 and I'm obviously not pregnant. XD
@Hopeful_mom Hmmm that would be good if the RE can see you sooner. But 10/16 is a little over a week! It will come by before you know it. So that will put you at 5w, 6w?
TW pregnancy
They are indeed doing an u/s each visit, which could be overkill but I had already paid for this out of pocket (I told them to use the funds I had paid upfront for the FET, which was bundled into my IVF cycle. They told me they allocate $750 for first trimester appointments total).
It's so crazy during my last appointment, they found the umbilical cord! And they said the baby was already wiggling around. My first OB appointment will be 10/19 and I have no idea what to expect. But it is growing its limbs and all of that. So surreal. But it's so small still. Just over an inch long. My RE officially took me off progesterone after 9w, but they reduced my suppositories by 50% at my 8w appointment. So all in all not too bad, was on Endometrin for about a month.
And I truly feel so so lucky about this pregnancy, I really do. I'm so glad it brings hope to all of you. It was something I never thought in a million years would happen. And you're right, I had no idea I conceived until well into my 5w! This is what infertility does to your mind, you just always think of the worst possible outcome because that's what we've experienced throughout TTC. If this works out, I will literally name my baby "miracle" or some variant, because that's what s/he is to me.
As for cravings... yes, I do sometimes. Yesterday it was Cheetos. So weird. I downed half a big bag of Cheetos at my desk. A couple weeks ago it was tortilla chips. I've also had sweet cravings too, like a lot of chocolate.
@gfgrump Hoping for the best on your beta day! That panic attack sounds so awful. I'm glad you were able to get through it. It's so nerve wracking this entire process.
I also don't "feel" pregnant. The only time I do is when I come home from work exhausted, even if I have done no work all day (or at least tried to avoid doing work, haha). My breasts feel a bit heavier and I have a bloat, noticeable only after eating. And I've had no nausea at all.

Nope, not a bad indixator... The good thing also is the C is for the trophoblast (the outer area of the blastocyst that becomes the placenta). Its generally more desirable to have the ICM (inner cell mass) be the higher rated as that becomes the baby... (only when you are talking about low rating... when its A's and B's, its all good)
at the same time.. I totally have a BC that I will be transferring and I'm not going to worry about it.... for all I know, if they had looked at it from a different angle, it would've been a B

I dunno... I'll see my doc next week probably so I guess we will talk then
@tnh0413. Welcome back!!! How exciting 10/11 Will be here so fast! It's incredible how much we've already been through together... fx for more good things to come. ❤
I should be seeing my doc next week so we will see, I guess.
FX that it's nothing, or at the very least, that you get more info soon!
Can you just call the doctor? Or email? I am waiting till a phone consult 10/12.
@Businesswife I get it that they cant remember every little thing because they are working with tons of people, but you'd think they would have the highlight reel ready to roll before speaking to a patient!
With IVF everything is such a step by step thing.... I haven't even ovulated yet on this cycle.... I don't want to freak out just yet
But I do think its cool she did all my GYN stuff while I was knocked out
Glad you're not stressing it won't help and regardless should be able to be taken care of...hopefully quickly!! Yay for fresh transfers

Ive spent all of last week looking at my nurse like:
@helloworld9 I'm pretty much a basket case waiting for my US, how do you manage? Is ur dr seeing u every week? I emailed my RE to see if he can see me this week. I hate that I'm panicked everyday. If my boobs aren't sore I start to think the worst. My tummy was bothering a few days earlier this week and it just worries me. Whether distracted or not all I do is think about this pnut. How r u doing??

But anyway I get it because I'm about to start taking the BCPS. So I'm cleared to start those in preparation for my procedure on October 18th. She told me to just take the active pills, but then after that, I'm not sure what we're going to do in terms of scheduling the fet. I know I don't actually need a whole day off work I just need to be able to leave after the morning and have the afternoon free. So we'll see what that means in terms of BCPS and starting estrogen and stuff like that!
I think your story is great!!! It's such real hope in this crazy world of TTC!!! This Lil miracle was truly meant to be! You are one of the lucky ones that didn't have to worry in the very beginning cause u didn't know how great is that!!!

As for cravings... yes, I do sometimes. Yesterday it was Cheetos. So weird. I downed half a big bag of Cheetos at my desk. A couple weeks ago it was tortilla chips. I've also had sweet cravings too, like a lot of chocolate.
