Oh I 100% do. And he has an 8 month old. But his guilt pays for my SUV and put a down payment on my house so I'm gonna ride it out. He was always a jerk and never around and he's actually been a pretty decent dad the last few years. I'll never get past that. Or showing up in Australia to visit and him not bothering to tell me his girlfriend (now wife) lived there.
Thank you all! Very helpful. I was talking to the groom yesterday who said the resort said they will be up and running by their wedding in April. I feel bad disappointing them, but I have to think about my family. To the person who mentioned ZIKA, I didn't even think of that! That information is SOOOO helpful. I definitely don't want to travel to Puerto Rico while 35-36 weeks pregnant. I will have to hear my doctors thoughts; hopefully he will help make my case. I've heard stories about airlines not letting pregnant women board who looked "very" pregnant. I don't want to deliver a baby in Puerto Rico! I also don't want my husband going away from me and my daughter. I think we should save that money for a special family vacation down the road. Thanks for helping as always ladies! I will pass on the info to my husband!
@sharkmama39, if it's only a 2 hour flight and you really want to go, you should. I drive NY to Montreal at 36 weeks with DD1. I think the biggest issue is making sure that you feel your destination is a reasonable place to give birth (i.e., has electricity, is not entirely devastated by a hurricane, has clean water, that kind of thing).
When I was pregnant with DD2 I kept setting stink bugs ( the ones that look like shields). I had never seen one before that. There was even one on the window at the hospital in the recovery room. Then I didn't see any for a long time. In the past 2 days I keep seeing them. It feels weird.
I'm annoyed at so many things today. One is that an assistant principal was supposed to call me at 1:30 yesterday and didn't and then wanted to call at 11 today and didn't call until 12. I hate when people are disrespectful about time. And then a nonprofit I am a part of is saying my dues are due today even though I last renewed in February because they decided to renew me at this time last year even though I told them I wasn't going to renew for a few months due to DH being in between jobs.
So where I live when you give birth in the hospital they are supposed to mail your child's social security card application for you from the hospital. J never received his card in the mail. (He's 18 months old) I thought maybe I had lost the paperwork and I was supposed to send it, but everyone I know who's had a kid after me has gotten theirs in the mail without doing anything on their part.
Yesterday I got to spend a couple hours at the social security office to get his card, and number, for open enrollment for my SO's insurance. While I was there I was falling asleep because I skipped coffee and tea that day... There was also a racist pos behind me who kept loudly proclaiming that it wasn't fair anytime a black person's number was called because "they already get everything for free in this country," and when they called numbers over the intercom in Spanish she flipped out, saying "no one understands that, and you need to use English!" The officer that was there told her she was disrupting the peace and she would be asked to leave if she didn't stop. (Thank god because I was about to go the fuck off on her) But my child is officially a citizen now And he has insurance and not Medicaid. Next month I will too.
I have so much choreography to finish this month before I go away. I'm pretty stressed about that because we don't have the studio space for me to rush through it...

On that note. Let me set the scene: I am white. Like red hair, blue eyes, pale skin. My husband is not. I have a very common Hispanic last name now. My daughter is tan, dark hair and dark brown eyes so idk why people still get surprised.
I was having a tire replaced on my SUV and the jerk older guy calls my name and I come over. And he asks again my name...dude you just called it. Then proceeds to say "well you don't look like a *my last name*". ITS 2017. My husband is Mexican. We're from freaking Texas. Why is this still something that needs to be pointed out?!!?
@charlestonchew I've unfortunately heard worse. I'm pretty used to it. I would have shrugged it off if the guy wasn't screwing me over and being a jerk.
@justsuzie I thought you meant not gender neutral because of the coloring, I didn't even consider the unicorn. I say it's completely gender neutral and could see it for a boy or girl.

I know. I'm like, is this a good sign? Are stink bugs ever good? Seems like no.
I finished The Sinner.....the ending was a little meh.
I felt the same. And now they're considering a second season. I was into it the whole time and knew they'd find a way to get her sentences reduced but expected the ending to be a bit more twisty.
