Hello ladies! I got my BFP on 9/3, was not expecting it at all. My EDD is around 5/13. This will be my third, my son is 4 and my daughter is 2. I was part of the April 13 birth club (I still keep in touch with those ladies on FB) and the July 15 club (that was during the mass exodus and everything got a little too dramatic for my taste and I didn't keep in touch with them, I hope things have calmed a little around here).
I got my BFP a few weeks ago after 16 months of trying and my first month at a fertility clinic. My self-calculated due date will be May 7, and this will be the first baby for us.
I'm doing most of the pregnancy long-distance from my partner, so I'm hoping being part of this message board will make me feel less alone.
@Kovak I was in August 2015, I recall there was some drama.. It was still helpful as a first time mom who was 750 miles from all family and friends at the time! Hoping for an even better experience this go around, though!
@lizzah it is likely that my husband and i will spend the second half of my pregnancy on different US coasts. Let me know if you need someone to talk to.
Hi! I got a positive test on September 10th. As of right now I think I am 5 weeks 5 days. I have pcos and had a miscarriage near the end of July, we were lucky enough to get pregnant again before I even had a period. My husband and I are cautiously optimistic and hoping this one sticks. I am super nervous as I miscarried at about 6 weeks last time and I am only a few days away from that now, keeping all fingers crossed Can't wait to follow along with you ladies as our pregnancies progress!
Hi ladies. My due date is between may 8th and May 11th..paid for an early scan my reckoning is I'm 7 weeks and 1 day but scan measured 6 weeks 5 days which can be out by 3 days either side anyway.Im 41 and finally found the 'one, I love and wanted to breed with lol.We are so excited loved seeing baby's heartbeat flickering at 142 bpm the most amazing thing I ever saw.It measures at 8mm.. I just wanted to introduce myself and wish you all the best of health and luck in the world xxx
My son is 4 and was born in April and my daughter is 2 and born in July! That's so crazy! I wasn't part of the bump then, I was part of Just Mommies which is pretty much dead anymore.
Hello everyone! I'm excited to be here. I started TTC #1 in 2015 and had a MC. We kept trying in 2016 with no luck. We went to a fertility clinic beginning of 2017 and ultimately decided to do IVF because I felt like nothing was working. We were able to freeze 6 blasts (4 PGS normal) and I decided to wait out a cycle or two before transferring one back in me. We went on vacation last month and my expected period never came. When we came back, I took a HPT and much to my surprise it was positive. I'm now 7+4 and desperately hoping this one sticks. Nice to meet everyone!
My TTC journey:
Me and DH: 30-35 Unexplained infertility TTC #1 since 2015 11/2015 - BFP! 12/2015 - MC IVF #1 July 2017 freeze all (20 eggs, 15 mature, 10 fert, 6 blasts, 4 PGS normal) FET #1 TBD Surprise BFP 9/2017 while waiting for FET... hoping for the best!
@bumpemma, no pgs testing here. All my eggs are from my 2015 ivf cycle and my clinic didn't really facilitate the testing. I get to wait until my anatomy scan to find out the gender. Congrats on your baby boy
Hello!!! I got my BFP yesterday. I'm due late in the month, May 28th. We weren't trying, but weren't not trying? So, here we are. We have a 4yo biological son and a 2yo biological daughter. We are in the process of adopting my 5yo foster son and our 2yo foster daughter. So, this will make 5 kids under 7.
My friends all think we're nuts. We haven't even told them yet about the baby and they already think we're crazy.
I was active on the Aug13 board, but haven't been around since then. Life got a little crazy.
ETA: I'm a financial manager for a defense contractor. It's what most people would probably consider boring, but I like it enough! My husband is a teacher, so we're happy about the due date since he'll be off all summer!
Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat) DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18 FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!
@k5678 Late to see your post, but my doctor only increased my meds by <15%. Everyone seems to says 25-30 is standard, but I guess I have to trust that she's the doctor, not me. I also find it odd that she said to get tested again in 4 weeks, when she usually says 3-4. I think I'll go at 3.5 anyway. When I actually talk to my OB, she may say something different, so we'll see.
I'm due May 19. I got a *faint* BFP on Monday the 11th with a dollar tree test. So faint, in fact, I thought I was making it up. Ran out and picked up a FRER and the second line on that sucker was dark immediately. I was pretty shocked (but excited)! I've been lurking here ever since and now it's finally letting me post. Woo-hoo!
I'm a STM. I have two daughters who are 11 and 9. I think they are going to be pretty surprised. My husband and I decided to go off the BCP and "see what happens" after my period started in August and.... here we are!
I am a 32 (almost 33!) year-old pediatric nurse from the Midwest. I stayed home with my first two and am a little nervous about this whole juggling a full time job and a baby, thing. In my free time I like to run, read, write, waste inordinate amounts of time on the internet, and take pictures. I look forward to spending the next nine months with you guys!
Ok, either The Bump is drunk or my iOS is. It posed my intro under my old account that I SWEAR I deleted when all the craziness went down a few years ago, then wouldn't let me post for two days because I guess it switched to my new account? The one it was supposed to post under? Anyway! Everything biggerinreallife (my old account) posted goes for me as well, because that's me. I'm her. She and I are one. Way to make a first impression, Christy.
@kpc914 Sounds great. My husband and I are closer than that -- about an 8 hour drive, which makes weekend visits possible, but we'll likely be living apart until the birth.
Hi everyone! I have an EDD 5/24, BFP was 9/17, I have yet to call my OB to schedule my first apt! I have a 17 month old girl, and was part of (but not super active in) April 15 board. Hoping to be more active this time around I work full time and have a lot of help from grandmas with my LO! Best to all, excited to be here!
I got my BFP on 9/18, EDD is 5/28. I have a 2 yr old daughter and we've been TTC off and on for about a year. I have PCOS and am 34, but had zero trouble the first time so was getting concerned and had just made an appt for a fertility consult - now my first prenatal appt! The past year has been crazy professionally and personally and we switched major plans for me to take a job and buy a house near my family, to moving 5 hours away to DC but I'm sooo happy with the job and house I ended up getting. And more than relieved that I got pregnant literally as soon as the dust settled (moved July 4).
I was also in the August 2015 group, still active on fb. I was mostly a very minor lurker there, up until the end, when I lurked a lot bc I really needed the support. When the group moved to fb after the babies were born I regretted not having formed bonds with people as then I REALLY needed support - so point being, I hope to be much more active this time around.
Im a clinical psychologist and researcher currently working in a 100% research position which I love bc it gives me a lot more flexibility. Anxious about telling ppl at work so soon but same thing happened with DD so oh well.
I've been lurking for a bit, but decided to make the leap and introduce myself. I'm a 29yo STM and DD just turned 1 this month (Sept.). I was active in the September 2016 board and followed it over to Facebook.
We we were happy to wait a bit longer, but my husband asked me to POS before my period because he thought I was "acting pregnant." So, I did, and get a bfp on the 10th. This pregnancy was a bit of a surprise to us. Based on LMP I think my EDD is 5/24. Appointment to confirm on 10/6.
I'm a certified medical biller and coder, however currently I am not working and I am a full time nursing student. I graduate from my program on 5/10, so I'm hoping for a smooth pregnancy that goes the full 40 weeks (last time was 39+6)!
It's wonderful to meet you all, and I can't wait to get to know you better as we grow!
Hello ladies! I got my BFP on Aug 31 and we are due May 2nd ! I am a momma of 4 so this will be #5 (3 births one stepson) my kiddos are 10,7,5 and 18 months. Wishing you all a happy healthy pregnancy
I’m 36 years old AMA FTM and so happy to finally be pregnant! My DH and I are college sweethearts and just celebrated 18 years together and 7 years of marriage.
After a bit of a roller coaster ride of health issues with my husband soon after we were married, we finally started TTC in June 2015. I tried apps and ovulation strips to no avail and finally went to my OB/GYN in January 2017 when I learned I had hypothyroidism through blood work. My TSH was 10, but T3 & T4 were normal and I never had symptoms. My OB referred me to an ED and finally had an HSG in August.
The HSG must have done the trick! My AF has always been semi-irregular (but around 35 days) so when I realized it was day 37 on 9/9, I decided to test. To my SHOCK, it was a BFP! I immediately screamed and almost gave DH a heart attack at 6:00 am on a Saturday. He thought something was wrong, but something was really so right! My ED tested my HCG on 9/10 - 172.5 and 9/12 - 374.1, and has since referred me back to my OB/GYN. My first appointment is on 10/5!
My biggest fear for this pregnancy is miscarriage as we have wanted a child for so many years (well before starting TTC) and I’m not getting any younger! My heart goes out to all of the moms that have experienced a miscarriage. I truly cannot even imagine how heartbreaking it must be. My TSH levels have been fine ever since going on 75 mcg Levothyroxine, and I’m hopeful this will be a sticky baby bean!
If tried 2 calculators and one has said DD of 5/11 and the other 5/19 based on my last period and cycle length.
Looking forward to a supportive group, and hopefully, no judgment!
Hi friends! I was going to wait to post until after I confirmed everything with my OB but I'm just too excited to wait! I think my EDD will be some time between 5/25 and 5/30 - I'm currently breastfeeding my 9 month old daughter so my cycle is pretty wonky and I'm not entirely sure when I ovulated.
I currently work full time and my husband is a stay-at-home dad. We are both so, so grateful that one of us gets to be home with our daughter, but ultimately he wants to be the one who works and I want to be the one who stays home. So we are trying to figure out ways to make that work financially. That means changing jobs and moving and all that fun stuff that you want to be doing while pregnant with a baby at home!!
This is my first time on a mom group! I'm looking forward to getting to know each other!!!
Hi all! Decided to do an intro since I've made it past 4 weeks which is when I lost my last preg. SO and I have been together a little over 5 years and this is our first baby. I was a preschool teacher but got sick of the environment and crappy pay so I now stay home and do part time customer service. I will get to live my dream of being a SAHM once LO comes and I'm so so so excited for that. I'm young 21, SO is 23. We're the first people in our friend group to be financially stable, finish school, and all that good stuff so I'm excited this place exists so I can have some other mamas to connect with! I'm at 5+2 now with an ED of 05/23. I have endometriosis so I really wanted to start my family young so I can get a hysterectomy asap. My first scan isn't until 10/25 which will put me at 10 weeks!
Hello Ladies! I just got my BFP yesterday and I am still in shock. EDD is May 7th for now. I'm a STM and my DD will turn one in two weeks. I am 31 and live in Canada. I currently work as an event planner, but will likely be a SAHM after #2. I had an amazing BMB last time around. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Hi all! 4 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage in 2010. I told my fiance it would take us months to conceive and we ended up pregnant first try so I'm cautiously optimistic this little one is determined to be in our lives. Due dare is approximately May 28
Hi everyone! I'm 5wks6dys according to my LMP so who knows. I'm a FTM with severe anxiety and OCD, so the unknown of all of this is making me into a mess.
Hi ladies, I got my bfp on 9/20 and my edd is at the end of May 5/29. I am a STM and have a Nov13 baby so he will be 4 in a few months. This is my 3rd pregnancy as my 2nd resulted in a loss in May 2014. We decided to finally try again and here we are. Anxiously awaiting the next couple of weeks and my first goal is 8 weeks as that is when I mc. I am still active in my Nov '13 group and have formed great in life friendships so looking forward to getting to know everyone
Hi Beautiful Mommies!!!!! how is everyone doing? I am so excited to be joining this group; I got my bfp on 9/10 I will be giving Birth in may I don't know the day yet because I haven't seen a doctor yet. I am a TTM I have a beautiful 5 year old boy and a lovely 2 year old girl so I'm just filled with joy and can't wait to make new friends and family with my May mommas! I was last on The Bump when I was pregnant with my DD july2015 mommas so I'm back May2018 !!!!!! Eclipse babies
@cassloumy I'm a full time nursing student too! I finish my final placement at end of March and make up hours in April then Theory finished in June. With a due date of May 4th I'm not quite sure how I'll juggle it all, good luck with your course and hope they're supportive!

That's awesome! I hope we'll be able to support each other through this special brand of craziness! So far so good with the administration at my school! This semester we're fine and we're going to play it by ear next semester (but I'm really hoping to graduate on time without a leave of absence). My program is just a RN diploma program so I'll have to get my BSN after I graduate. Are you doing clinical days right now? This pregnancy nose is not helping me there lol!
@cassloumy I'm so glad we're in the same boat! I'm the same, I'm just going back after a break so the last thing I want to do is have to take more time out. I'm hoping to finish all my hours and then finish the Theory side before I have little one so all I have to do is submit it. That's amazing go you! I'm in the UK so it's a bit different but we basically have a block of 3 months on a ward etc which I start in January then a month or two of Theory. Yeah I can imagine, I'm not looking forward to that I can already smell everything. Vom.
Hi Everyone! I am currently expecting baby #4 for me but #5 for my family. DH and I are a blended family. We have the whole yours, mine, ours thing going on. I am very excited as I thought our baby days were done. This LO is due 5/22/18 and joins 4 big sisters who are 16, 14, 10 & 5. I just went part time at my job in May. I am looking forward getting to know all of you.
Congratulations @hges83! My best friend was in a similar boat, having her third well apart from her first two. Honestly I'm jealous of all the help she has.
