this wait for the ER is blah! I'm at work today and I just can't wait until the end of the day and go to sleep bc it's tomorrow! I'm uncomfortable anytkme i sit down. DOes the hcg trigger make the follies grow more also? I forgot to ask that yesterday.

@BusinessWife ugh that sucks that they can't tell you anything until Thursday. You're going to have to find every distraction that you can until then. We are waiting anxiously with you as well.

AFM I had 9 follies today and 7 are >16! I'm very happy with that. The largest is 22.6 so hoping we don't lose it. Waiting for the official word but the plan is trigger tonight and retrieval Thursday!
Edited for typo... Just catching up from being gone helping DH move this weekend! 120 posts I just read- hoping for good results, lots happening today! So last night was my first night living officially in a different state than my DH solely for IVF benefits. I swear, the extent we go! Anyway, I shopped for lots of colorful veggies and fruits for the week, cost about double as I got all organic too. Here's to improving egg health! I figure if I'm going to be separated from him for another cycle I may as well give it the best odds possible!

@ReesaAnne16 trust me when I say you are NOT being a drama queen. We all understand how difficult this is. This is what it all boils down to. It's hard to imagine that one little test will decide if all the effort and time and money you put into this was worth it. This whole process sucks so much and I definitely feel your pain. @safire3waaaaa... I'm gonna be the last to trigger!! lol I fly out Saturday night so its cutting it hella close, but I am still planning to go. I mean lots of people who do out of state cycles fly out the next day I guess...

@ReesaAnne16 no I totally know how you feel.... you just wanna be in the enxt phase. If you guys wanna wait to test for beta, then do what works for yall. There is no way in hell I could wait to do it because id rather know in advance if its pos or neg... I just couldn't take waiting to hear from the clinic.
So it looks like we will not be able to do a fresh transfer because of the hurricane . The nurse just called with my instructions. We will still do retrieval on Thursday but as of now they are planning to freeze everything at day 2 since they may not be able to access the lab during the storm.
Received a voicemail with the beta results from the doctors around 12:00 but I'm waiting to listen to them with my husband !!! It's almost 5:00 now and I'm dying lol
@dragonette505 I didn't even ask and that's the first thing my DH asked me when I told him lol. We only decided to do a fresh transfer a few days ago so I'm not sure if that matters but hopefully not. I just hope freezing on day 2 doesn't have any detrimental effect on the embies.

My DH always wants me to filter the news...lol No way on earth I could wait!! lol But I'm pretty sure yours is good news!! @safire3 Hopefully they can do something for y'all price wise so that its not full price. ETA I do not think a 2 day freeze will impact them. They can freeze at any stage. It just means they don't know anything about viability of them because they didn't at least make it to day 3. My guess is depending on how many you intend to transfer it may be a little trickier with the defrosting only because they will not know which ones would've made it to blast and again, I'm guessing they may have to select after thawing. We are only one day apart, so that's good enough for me! @momifbysea Yeah, I'm so glad I don't have to mess with my flight (though I don't think this will be my most comfortable 7 hour plane flight

@dragonette505 My favorite words are possibilities, opportunities and curiosity. Well, I guess my shots are all in my upper arm because they are all administered in the hospital by a nurse. The upper arm is a difficult place to do a self administered IM shot as compared to the belly or thigh. But yeah, the proximity of the upper arm is pretty much closer to the brain ...lol

I am so excited to finally tell my daughter she will have a sibling ! That has been one of the hardest part so of this challenge. She would ask us all the time for a baby sister or brother..now I finally get to give her that !

@Hopeful_mom lol I already forgot to take a dose of ganerelix over the long weekend ( literally the first day I was meant to double up) but I didn't feel bad about it since I had my morning dose and I'm pretty sure that was enough to keep me from ovulating... but I have never used the hgh.... I'm kinda scared to mess with it too much! Lol i don't think spicy food will be bad for you (unless you have inflammation issues). Get it in while you can! If you get KU this cycle you may not have the appetite for spicy for a while!

@tinjp78: Thank you for your sweet thoughts and sharing your Thessalonians verse with me -- I repeated it prior to my ER:) You are a sweet soul.
So I had my ER this morning, and they got 9 eggs. The 2 other "follicles" were actually "chocolate cysts", which I have never had and know noting about. I presume my RE aspirated them, but need to confirm. Anyone have any experience with these or why people get them? I will get my Day 1 update tomorrow (I mistakenly thought that today was Day 1). You'd think after doing this 2 times already, I would remember these things!
Interestingly, I'm in more pain today than I was last time, when I had 16 eggs. It hurts to breath in/out deeply. I have been drinking Gatorade and eating salty things, so hopefully that helped. My DH had to leave for work and won't be back until tomorrow night, so I have to fend for myself:( I will work from home tomorrow, so hopefully it is better by Thursday, when I plan to go back into the office. Praying hard that most of the 9 are mature and fertilize. Will know more tomorrow.
Me: 41; DH: 45 Both married for the first time in our 40s; went straight to IVF after multiple fibroid surgeries (2/17) ER: #1: agonist/antagonist protocol: 19 eggs; 8 mature; 13 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable) (4/17) ER: #2: same protocol but stimmed an extra 2 days: 16 eggs; 10 mature (5 more matured in lab); 13 fertilized; 2 6-day blasts (5AA & 6BA) & 2 7-day blasts (6BA & 5BB): only 1 Day 6 6BA tested normal! FET on 7/10/17 Beta on 7/21/17: Negative:( (8/17) ER #3: 9 eggs; 6 mature; 3 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable) Developed severe complications (abdominal bleeding) following egg retrieval which required hospitalization, transfusion & emergency surgery. Done with IVF.
angelbea yay you're done! And 9 is fantastic!! Can't wait to hear ur fert report! Never heard of a chocolate folliw just an empty one...and thats the cycle where i barely had 5. I guess we learn something everyday! When you said something on another post that all yours are never a day 5 just a day 6 I was thinking u were off on counting today as day 1...so that makes more sense! Sorry you're hurting, hoping a good nights rest will make you feel refreshed! Try midol that seemed to help me more then tylenol.

AFM: today brings me to 3mg 2x a day and then its time for bw/US come friday...should be an interesting week...I did buy some Brazilian nuts and ate avocado. Get some healthy fats into my body!

i don't think spicy food will be bad for you (unless you have inflammation issues). Get it in while you can! If you get KU this cycle you may not have the appetite for spicy for a while!

So I had my ER this morning, and they got 9 eggs. The 2 other "follicles" were actually "chocolate cysts", which I have never had and know noting about. I presume my RE aspirated them, but need to confirm. Anyone have any experience with these or why people get them? I will get my Day 1 update tomorrow (I mistakenly thought that today was Day 1). You'd think after doing this 2 times already, I would remember these things!
Interestingly, I'm in more pain today than I was last time, when I had 16 eggs. It hurts to breath in/out deeply. I have been drinking Gatorade and eating salty things, so hopefully that helped. My DH had to leave for work and won't be back until tomorrow night, so I have to fend for myself:( I will work from home tomorrow, so hopefully it is better by Thursday, when I plan to go back into the office. Praying hard that most of the 9 are mature and fertilize. Will know more tomorrow.

(2/17) ER: #1: agonist/antagonist protocol: 19 eggs; 8 mature; 13 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable)
(4/17) ER: #2: same protocol but stimmed an extra 2 days: 16 eggs; 10 mature (5 more matured in lab); 13 fertilized; 2 6-day blasts (5AA & 6BA) & 2 7-day blasts (6BA & 5BB): only 1 Day 6 6BA tested normal!
FET on 7/10/17
Beta on 7/21/17: Negative:(

Developed severe complications (abdominal bleeding) following egg retrieval which required hospitalization, transfusion & emergency surgery. Done with IVF.
