@TravelingCouple, yyeeppp. Clearly you're reading my mind - I just posted about this on one of the stupid ass threads. I thought I was just being bitchy because I'm in a terrible mood. Nope.
Better late than never, I suppose. It's been quite a busy week so far!! We had our "I Do BBQ" in my hometown over the weekend, and just came back home Monday. Then yesterday I spent the extra day I took off trying to get my house back in order since I'm busy every night this week, and am hosting Bunco at my house on Friday. Calendar fail!!
@laurad75 Oh, I'm going to have to go down that rabbit hole. I'm glad you have lots of choices, but that also makes it a bit harder, doesn't it? I hope you find the perfect one soon!!
@KristoKekerooni I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Hugs to you!
@safire3 Oh lord, do I understand how you are feeling. I just got similar news recently, and it's like a punch to the uterus. Hugs to you!
@AlohaKumu Thinking of you. Actually, I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear how it goes. FX!!
AFM:
Diagnosis: DOR, AMA
Cycle/CD: 23 (17 AL)/CD15
Status: WTO (although I'm pretty positive today is 2DPO...just waiting for crosshairs)
What are you doing: Well, it's a good thing we dragged our tank containing some of the frozen sperm army on the road trip. I got positive OPKs starting on Saturday, which meant a Monday O at the latest. In fact, we went straight to our midwife's office for IUI #2 on our way home. I also did a turkey baster insemination on Sunday night.
I felt a little like Jane Bond, or you know, a smuggler. I had to hide the tank from my DSS's mom when I picked him up to head out of town. Then when we arrived at our hotel, my in-laws came down to greet us. I suggested they take their grandson up to their room while we unloaded the car. Then the tank sat unnoticed in the hotel room closet the entire morning my godmother hung out in our room with us (I also had to grab my BBT from the nightstand when she came in).
To top it off, I lied (which I'm terrible at and hate doing) to DSS's mom when we came home...I texted her that OH would bring DSS to her house while I was doing some shopping for the week at Target...she has no idea we're TTC or that OH has low T. But I did giggle when I thought of just telling the truth, that I was going to be inseminated and that the timing worked out great for that, LOL.
How is it going: OK. I'm having a hard time with optimism, given my new, lower AMH number (@safire3, I went from .356 to .224). But the IUI went well. My midwife is training another midwife on how to do IUI, so I got to be her trainee's first one. She did a great job, and when she finished pushing the plunger, she said "Swim, swim, swim!! Go find your home, a great big fat egg!!" I kinda love her, and definitely dig her pep talk. My midwife helped her place the tube, and she commented that my cervix, while having hidden from them, was very soft and open, and I hardly felt the tube at all this time. She thought the timing was perfect, which makes me about as happy as I can be. Here's hoping for beginner's luck!
Any questions: Nope. GTKY: Oh, that's a hard one.Today I would say fish and chips. Yum!

@JuneRoseRuby I can understand your H's hesitation because you don't want IVF to take away from the rest of your life. I hope you guys are able to make a decision that you're both happy with. @kiwi2628 avocado pizza sounds amazing!! @BusinessWife I'm so excited for you!! @laurad75 the whole selecting a donor process seems so interesting! And I can imagine difficult. I think I would be approaching it the same way you are, so I don't think the blue eyes thing is weird at all. @50Wife I hope the IUI worked! When is your beta? @WillRunForWine21 fx that the IUI worked this time! @TravelingCouple I'm sorry for AF. I'm excited for your move though and I'm glad you have something to distract you! @purplg8r sounds like you had a really thorough appointment! I hope your RE will have a good plan. @Aurora1973 I'm glad you were able to get the timing right for your insemination! @AlohaKumu I am still rooting for you and hoping that they find sperm today! So many hugs, girl.
Sorry I'm so late to post, DH has been off since last week so we've been doing a lot of day trips and I've barely been home.
Diagnosis (If you've been): unexplained secondary IF
Cycle/CD: 20/I think 28?
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW (about 13dpo I believe)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) final IUI before next steps
How are things going? Not bad! We've been out and about a lot lately which has been great at distracting me from the TWW. I have absolutely no urge to test and haven't been as stressed as usual. I've pretty much decided to do surgery if this IUI didn't work so now that I have a plan I'm less anxious about everything.
Any questions? nope

@Aurora1973 thank you and sorry you are dealing with the same. Really rooting for you that this IUI does the trick!
AFM RE's office called today and changed my protocol. Will start meds on CD2 now whenever that falls and they made some changes to the meds. I was afraid they would call and say my AMH is too low for IVF and cancel everything so I feel relieved. I meet with the RE next week as well to go over everything.
Thank you for all your kind words everyone. They did not find any sperm during the TESE and we are not holding out hope that they will find any during the additional dissections of the tissue. I do not know where will go from here, aside from the fact that I'm going to love on DH during this time of healing. @beachbunnyxo123 that's so frustrating about not hearing anything back!!
@RVAmom315 good idea on removing anything that might tempt you! I wasn't expecting to have everything already lined up as far as testing (but that it was without me having to ask is a good thing)
@dragonette505 yes for that awesome lining!! I would have a hard time not knowing when I O'd too!! AFM: I'm being tested as we speak for PCOS. I'm wondering if I do but I don't have other symptoms that I know of. I did get my AMH tested * back during the ectopic when they thought it was a mc. My OB never talked about the results because everything got crazy* end TW* but from what I could interpret online, I think they're ok.
@BertieMeetsGertie that's a hard decision to make!! My headaches often come from the lower, back part of my head. But sometimes on the top of the back. I do notice that sometimes when I push hard on a run, I get a headache later that day (but if I go for a slower, longer run I don't)
@Redpuma119 that sounds yummy! What's AFCs? I'm here doing glucose testing. I started cd1 late Wednesday night and they said it could be cd2 or 3 be so I go that done today too. I don't think they have a patient portal (I'll definitely ask when I go back in a hour)
@adirat super silly question but how do you make green tea? The only time I've made tea is putting tea bags in a pot of boiling water. Here's a pic of the vitamins & supplements. Sorry about the writing on it--I was trying to figure out how much more I needed that wasn't in the vitamins I already take
@dpjennifer congrats on losing more!! Waiting is so hard!
@safire3 I'm so sorry about your AMH dropping. I hope the RE has a good plan!
@zwink1 I'm sorry your body is being so confusing!!
@KariAnn323 I hope you've gotten the SA results by now!
@purplg8r Thanks for sharing the list! I've never heard of pycnogenol, interesting.
I just make green tea by putting a bad in hot water so I am not very fancy over here... If you want to make iced tea I know there are "cold brew" tea bags (as far as I can tell they're just bigger bags of tea since you need more tea leaves to make iced tea).
@safire3 I'm glad they were able to just change things instead of cancelling it!
Diagnosis (If you've been): AMA/waiting on results
Cycle/CD: cycle 9/ cd 2. Our year anniversary of TTC is tomorrow.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) I'm in the middle of my 2 hour glucose test. Thankfully I didn't think it was bad. I got some results back from Wednesday. My Vitamin D was low so they want me to up it. And my TSH was 2.70 so she put me on Synthroid. (She wants it to be below 2.5).
How are things going? Crazy stressed right now. It's pre-planning and I'm missing a lot of stuff this week due to the RE appts. And then my ride at Disney is closing on Sunday so former cast members from all over the country are flying in and we've been having fun events every night so I can't even catch up on work then. Hopefully the school will be open over the weekend so I can go in.
Any questions? What does a high TSH mean?
GTKY: If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life what would it be? Medium rare steak, loaded baked potato & Caesar salad. Yum!
@purplg8r Sorry for the one year anniversary. I know how bitter that milestone is Hugs friend.
High TSH is indicative of hypothyroid. That said, TSH of 2.7 isn't super elevated -- typically when REs put you on thyroid meds at that range it's just as a precaution, not because you actually have the condition. (For context, when my thyroid problem was diagnosed a couple years ago, my TSH was 9.9.) You'll want to have your levels checked again in 4 weeks to see how you're responding to the meds. Not a huge deal.
@purplg8r The 1 year mark is tough. That's when I stopped counting cycles.
Yes, we chose our donor yesterday and she accepted! Huge step in the right direction.

@purplg8r when they did my SHG, she saw a smallish endometrial polyp... So before transfer, they have to knock me out and go in and remove the lol polyp. Most cases just a little benign tissue growth. Fx not really anything major, just a PITA bc now we have to stop and deal with that too, before we can transfer, and go under general anesthesia for a second time. :/
@JuneRoseRuby sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you lick the donor you want? Also, I'd love the name of the headache app please!
#stuckinabox
Well, I don't plan on licking my donor.... but in picking the donor the websites are all different, They provide you with some info and then you can buy upgrades to purchase more info or pictures of the donors. It seems a little different than egg donors based on what @laurad75 has said. The donors have already donated and it is frozen. Where as it seems hers will be freshly donating directly to her. Right? So some of the sperm donors are anonymous and others are open where you can contact the donor after the child turns 18. It is definitely a money maker. Buying upgrades. So I looked at the sites and favorited 3-6 on each site and MH is going to look at them and narrow down further. We have to meet with the psychologist on Monday in order to be approved to use donor sperm for IVF so after that we will order. I'll get back to you on the headache app name, my mom hasn't responded to me yet.

With egg donation you have an option of choosing a frozen lot (usually 6 eggs) or doing a fresh cycle where we will get as many eggs as she produces. We are lucky in that our insurance covers meds and my IVF cycle for a fresh transfer. Insurance doesn't cover a DE IVF with frozen.
I have not come across an option to lick the donor but I'm learning every day.

@kiwi2628 avocado pizza sounds amazing!!
I'm glad you'll hopefully have some answers soon.
@safire3 I'm so sorry for the drop in your AMH.

@Aurora1973 thank you and sorry you are dealing with the same. Really rooting for you that this IUI does the trick!
AFM RE's office called today and changed my protocol. Will start meds on CD2 now whenever that falls and they made some changes to the meds. I was afraid they would call and say my AMH is too low for IVF and cancel everything so I feel relieved. I meet with the RE next week as well to go over everything.

@JuneRoseRuby sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you lick the donor you want? Also, I'd love the name of the headache app please!
@adirat September is so close!!
@kiwi2628 I need to try that avocado pizza!!
@beachbunnyxo123 that's so frustrating about not hearing anything back!!
@RVAmom315 good idea on removing anything that might tempt you! I wasn't expecting to have everything already lined up as far as testing (but that it was without me having to ask is a good thing)
@laurad75 any luck getting H to choose?
@BusinessWife what's a polypectomy?
@50Wife keeping my FX so hard for you!! As for my appt, I really liked my RE! She seemed to listen to me and was very positive about everything
@AlohaKumu I'm so so sorry!!!
@WillRunForWine21 FX for you!!
@LeilaK9288 try to have fun this weekend at the bachelorette party!!
@KristoKekerooni sending you lots of hugs!!
@TravelingCouple moving is sooo stressful!!
I just make green tea by putting a bad in hot water so I am not very fancy over here... If you want to make iced tea I know there are "cold brew" tea bags (as far as I can tell they're just bigger bags of tea since you need more tea leaves to make iced tea).
@shortstack930 I'm glad you have a plan in place!
@safire3 I'm glad they were able to just change things instead of cancelling it!
Yes, we chose our donor yesterday and she accepted! Huge step in the right direction.
