We have a good friend, who I haven't seen in over a year, coming to visit for a couple of days, so here I am on day 3 of house organizing/cleaning. Ugh. Never did I ever dream this would take so long!

@hedgepig as much as frantically getting ready for guests sucks, you'll have a super organized/clean house! I love me some organization

AFM, I just went to BJs (our version of Costco) with the kids and managed to get out of there spending less than $100. That's a world record for us.

@kmalls That's astounding! I don't think I've EVER gotten our of Costco for under $100!
And yes, I love the look and feel of a clean and organized house, but we have too much stuff and too little space (esp storage), so it almost immediately reverts to disaster status.

@hedgepig - girl same. Our house was built in 1880 and doesn't have a single closet on the first floor. Drives me NUTS.

@kmalls Wow, 1880!? That's amazing! Ours was a hippie cabin built in the early 1980s and, among many other shortcomings, has zero closets whatsoever. We love it anyways though

@kmalls I can't believe there are no closets on your first floor! we have an old 1840's mill/farm house and we have plenty of quirky closets!

Currently organizing the house too this past week. I'm trying to tackle a different room each day. We have limited closets/cabinets and they're all stuffed! No house guests coming, but thinking of adding another human in our household give me anxiety about where all of this crap will go

@zombiemom1318 Oof, I know that feel. Our house currently only has 1 bedroom (and a subpar one at that), so I don't even know where we'll put another human - good thing babies are small! We're planning on adding on a new wing to the house with bedrooms in the next few years, but until then things will be tight.

DH and I were supposed to get t tattoos today, obviously now I can't, so I have to sit and watch him get a tattoo for 2 hours.

In better news I am getting my stitches out today, and can't wait. They are starting to be really itchy and driving me nuts.

I have no focus today at work! I'm just doing everything but work.

Also has anyone else tried to add a new ticker to their signature lately? I have tried since yesterday to add one for this pregnancy and it says no images allowed. I even went through how to add a signature thinking something changed on how to add one and nope still the same process.

Kids are napping so I've been perusing the trimester boards. The lack of knowledge some people have about basic reproduction and pregnancy is astounding.

I went to Babies 'R Us today to get a bump picture board and two things - 1)That made things a little more real and 2) at what point can you park in the expectant mom parking spots? They are so close but I figure 4 weeks is too early for that.

+1 to GoT thread, binge watching Shameless (on Netflix!) and loving Harry Potter!

@Dumbgurl04 - I cant change my signature without taking out my gif either. I want to put my BFP info in but do i want to do it at the expense of my gif? Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch and not a permenant change.

@Dumbgurl04 @justkeepswimming8 yeah I can't add a picture/ticker either. I saw that the ladies in March had the same issue, so I guess it's been going on for a while.

@BumpAdmin any idea when the ticker issue for siggies will be resolved???

side note: I'd LOVE an ongoing politics thread or something. Not everyone will want to read it, but I do think anyone could gain at least a little something by discussing how to naviagate as parents during these insane times. Or just plain old WTFing the day's events.

I just went over there to check it out. I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS A PLACE FOR PEE STICKS ON TB! I love hunting for squinters, even for randos. I totally get why they aren't wanted/allowed, but I will always have an undying love for deciphering pee sticks!

I am going a little nuts because I can't calculate my due date exactly because I can't remember the date of my last menstrual cycle. I feel the need to obsessively count weeks and also to know what day my ticket changes and I can't! I can't have pregnancy brain already can I, or maybe it's just mommy brain.

Trash day.... a pregnant lady's worst nightmare. My walk to work was... unpleasant.

You can relate!! I also can smell other people on the sidewalk - dirty hair, bo, cologne... I am gagging every 5 feet!

oh yes, the cologne and perfume. On the train is even worse, no fresh air to escape the smells.

Woooo, today is a daycare day for DS! He goes for 3 hours/day, 3 days/week and it is SUCH a nice break. DD is a super laid back baby and we can run errands together with no stress. So much easier than chasing a 2.5 year old around!
