I have Emmett Michael picked for a boy the girl has been hard for the longest time i loved Arabella Mae and i still do because i love disney and Bell was one of my favorites. However i went through my nestalgia of disney and watched Anastsia. I now love Anastsia Mae because we could call her Ana or Stacy. I like this option because my adopted mothers name is Stacy and Mae represents DH mom because it was her middle name.
Anyways what do you guys prefer Arabella Mae or Anastsia Mae

Love Anastasia Mae! Either Ana or Stacy are nice nicknames too (prefer Ana). And the reference to both moms is lovely
@LydRussell we looked for all sorts of names and we saw Emmett and them mraning and we have never once second guessed it. I live in Pennsylvania so i looked at the top 50 names for my state then the nations top 100 and it wasnt in it so i was so happy it is a strong name
I don't really mind the biblical reference. DH has been saying it all day and he was like I love it. So yay we picked a boys name but watch it be a girl. We've had a girl name picked out since day 1 lol
Not giving away any names, but if we're having a girl, her middle name will definitely be after my grandma, Alice. I already have 2 cats named Emmett and Scarlett, so those aren't options lol
I cannot wait to find out baby's sex to pick a name lol. We had a unique middle name for a girl we both love, but we're also tossing around using Josephine, for my dad who passed away last year. We were definitely going to use his name as the middle if it's a boy. In an ideal world we'd have a boy and girl one day, but since we have no idea what the future holds, I kinda want to be safe and honor my dad no matter what w/ our first kid.
@SunflowerMama428 my first reaction was, "as in Cain and Abel?" I do actually like the name, but that was my first thought!
Haven't put a ton of thought into it, but DH and I have always liked Emmy/Emmie/Emmalyn for a girl and I'm kinda convinced this is. DS is Michael Noel. We like Mackenzie for a girl so we can call her Mac, but not completely sold. Max and Noah on the boy list but not married to either. Middle name will be Noelle if a girl and I like Edward, Adam or Steven after family if a boy. Clearly all over the place when it comes to names. DS was pretty set from the getgo, after St Michael. Middle name was harder to decide, ultimately named after DH even though he was leaning toward naming after his brother whom I do not care for.
We agreed on a boy name sort of. We both like Cole, but DH only likes it as a middle name. He is still obsessed with Easton. He vetoed Easton Marshall (Marshall was my Dad's middle name). Neither of us vetoed Easton Cole. We shall see.
My husband isn't a fan of my favorite boy name, Theodore. He said it makes him think of chipmunks. Lol He hasn't quite vetoed it, but it's not a top contender. At this point, we're leaning toward Westley Edward Corgiat (family surname). Westley from The Princess Bride, one of our favorite classic fantasy movies.
Genevieve Eleanor Love is still my top pick, though I'm starting to reconsider Daisy, one of our top picks from way back. Both are similarly ranked, so not very common. Yay!
G 12.04 | E 11.06 | D 11.08 | H 12.09 | R 11.14 | Expecting #6 2.16.18.
@soulcupcake aw I like the name Theodore, but at least you've agreed on another boy's name! My softball teammate's daughter is Daisy and she is just the cutest. Genevieve is beautiful too!
Our boy name is set at Gunner Isaac (my maiden name and in honour my dad who passed) and DH just likes Isaac. I let him have the middle name since I gave him almost no choice on the first name. (It was either my maiden name or my dad's first name... I figured since I'm the one with parents who have passed, the baby automatically gets DH's last name, and his parents will meet the LO, I can be a b**** about it.)
Girl names though are proving difficult as we actually have too many that we like. We tend to go more classic with girls names, such as Elizabeth, Margaret (DH's mom), Violet, Hazel. But there's a longer list. I keep adding to it. We originally were going to go with Madeline, but once I checked the popular names list and saw it on there, I vetoed it. I want something that is not common, but not weird.
@clc515 Josephine is gorgeous. It was on my shortlist last time along with Jocelyn as I love the nickname Josie.
@soulcupcake Genevieve is a definite winner. So gentle and feminine.
My faves are Rory George and Claire Belinda. Also love Heath, Ryan for boys and Jocelyn, Sasha for girls. I was also liking Amelia, Isla and Skye but they're quite popular here.
We like the name Autumn, but is it weird to name a February baby Autumn? That was DHs first thought.
I have thought the same, I also love Autumn, and it will be summer here, march being the first day of Autumn! Im most likely going to have Bub in the last week of feb csection- I figure it's close enough! Lol
For a girl I really like the name Caroline Christine. I need to make sure I approach my DH about at the right time/right way to get him on board. He was terrible naming DD1.
For boys I like Henry with the nickname Hank, which I think DH would be in agreement with
I LOVE the name Stella, but my husband thinks only of beer then and we have a "niece" named Ella so that's out but it's causing me a mental block.
Anyone have other girl name suggestions that end in A? All the girls on my maternal side have names that end in A.
Im also loving Scarlett but, no A ending

I like it, but people would shorten to gabby and I detest people calling kids not their given name.

Mikayla was on our list from last time, different spelling I think. I love Isla and Ava but they're too popular.
We were also debating Willa (from my oma Wilma)
