@tmk0325 I agree. I actually like the pronunciation of Iss-la or Iz-la (but still spelled Isla) better, but I'd never name my kid that because I know everyone would pronounce it Eye-la.
@ngarciabyu we had a juniper baby in my last bump group, they call her Juni, shes absolutely adorable. The name isn't really my style, but it really fits her and I think it's cute. Out of your list, Piper is my favorite.
We're having a boy this time around and using the boy name we picked 4/5 years ago. James which is my husband's first name, my maiden name for his middle name. I'm sure a lot of people will side eye the crap out of it, but they can shove it.
I have NO idea what to name this little girl. We had a boy's name and I just can't get settled on a girl name. Partly because we were gonna name a boy after my mom's maiden name. It could work for a girl (Elliott) but I just don't know if I love t. I feel like I'm disappointing her. Sigh....
@dkizz82 Late reply, but I do like Elliott for a girl. Obviously if you don't love it you shouldn't use it, but maybe there's a girl name you love that would work with Elliott as the middle name?
DH and I love the name Cecelia (or Cecilia, we aren't sure on the spelling). We also like Cece (maybe CC, idk we haven't discussed the nuances of NN spelling yet) as a nickname. The problem is that DS is Charles (NN Charlie) and DH is Casey (sounds a LOT like CC). Is this too Duggary? Is the proposed CeCe nn too similar to DH's name?
UGH. We don't agree on much and I am starting to doubt our other choice due to its popularity (Amelia), so I hate that semantics have us doubting a name we both love.
@flowerpower5838 I absolutely love the name Cecelia. Amelia was on our list too, but we're having boys, so that's out. You c any go wrong with either one! Personally, I don't think its too duggery if you go with Cecelia, however CeCe is a lot like Casey. That could cause some confusion.
DH could care less about thinking about names, so it's kind of on me to think of options and pitch them to him. Right now I am into Lou or Katrin... But both DS and DH have B names and my name is a K.... would it be weird if the females and males each shared the same first initial, even if unintentional?
@kvacmak I don't think it's weird to have matching initials like that. My dad and brothers all have the exact same initials and my mom and I have the same initials. We ALL have the same first and last initial. Now that is a little much for me, but people only ever (sometimes) noticed that EVERYONE in my family had the same first initial, haha.

@flowerpower5838 I think Cece, Casey, & Charlie is fine. I usually only mix up names when the first syllable is the same and you've got See, Kay, and Char...
i know a kindergartner who is a Cecelia/Cece and she's darling.
@flowerpower5838, my daughter is Amelia and we have yet to have another Amelia in any of her classes at daycare. As for spelling, I like Cecilia, it's more classic to me.

Ok guys. I'm biting the bullet and putting our names up for review. Please be gentle. We've got twin boys coming, so my husband gets to pick a name and I get to pick a name. I chose Jack and he chose...Broderick. Brody for short. I think Jack and Brody are super cute names, but I'm just a little iffy on Broderick. I like it, but I just don't know if it's weird. I can't tell! My husband also likes the name Boden. I like Broderick waaaaaaaaaay better. Thoughts?
@breezybee Jack and Brody are awesome names for twin boys!! They flow together but are different. DH and his twin both have names that start with D which I know they don't really like. I'm a fan of the different twin names.

Cool thanks for the input you guys! I definitely wouldn't want to name one JUST Brody - I feel like you've got to give a kid the option to have an adult name, hence, Broderick Now we'll have to figure out middle names. This naming thing is hard!
