@ElizabethSchuyler This is the reason I did NOT cancel our wine club membership during this pregnancy.... we may or may not have a case and half of wine sitting in our storage room, with another shipment scheduled before baby is here. It'll get drunk eventually!
Came into work today and the first thing my coworker says to me (she knew I had an appt yesterday since I left early) was, "How much weight have you gained?!" What a weird thing to ask someone. Not, "How was your appt." I work with special people.

@kissthesky32 Apparently he thinks nothing of whipping it out and I dont wanna see it. I don't doubt he'd do it. He is a good friend and will show up whenever you need him, but he isn't the most trustworthy guy to date for some reason. He's a serial dater since his divorce and they're always much younger. What is wrong with people and I've only gained 6lbs, for real do I look like I've gained a lot more or something. She proceeded to tell me she only gained 10 with her last child. I said good for you I gained 15 with mine and got back to pre Baby fairly quick. I'm not concerned I'm healthy and baby is healthy. Just to add this is the same lady who told me she thought I was having a girl because of the old wives tale that daughters steal the mother's beauty. I'm having a boy btw....
@maegpie people are a-holes. The ONLY person who should comment on our weight is our doctor. Period. Why do people think they need to/should/have the right to comment on our bodies?
I understand not everyone believes life begins at conception or even that it begins before birth, but please keep your opinions to yourself. Stop telling me my baby isn't alive yet because it makes me want to punch you in the face. If, when you are pregnant, you want to believe your baby isn't alive until it is born, be my guest, but STFU about mine.
@DuchessOfCambridge I truly can't believe someone would have the heartlessness to say something like that. That is just awful. And stupid. Your baby has a brain and a beating heart and is very much alive...and kicking!
@DuchessofCambridge That comment is beyond the pale. I'm pro-choice, but that is just as asinine comment. Everyone needs to STFU about other people's babies and what they think about a woman's uterus and its occupant(s). Concern yourself with your own baby, and I'll concern myself with mine. WTF.
@RiverSong15 I don't like saying I'm pro-life because I don't like most of what pro-life seems to revolve around. I'm pro "I believe what I believe and you should talk to your doctor about medical decisions and the government should stay the heck out of it". Just because my religion has rules doesn't mean I'm going to insist other people who don't follow my religion live by them too.

Yeah that comment sounds like it came from a very political place where that sort of language is necessary in order to keep choice legal. But it has no place in the personal sphere.
