  • Damn. A simple "Sorry can't make it" is all that's needed.

  • @ElizabethSchuyler right? This wasn't even invites yet, just a hey save the date because I know summer is busy.

  • My bff had the easiest freaking pregnancy ever. And I struggled with MS until week 12 (from week 3) I posted the other day (at week 16) that I had a terrible day with nausea and I hoped it was just a fluke but wished it didn't come back. And she comments n goes "wish I could give you advice but I had NO nausea haha" like I kno that you don't need to tell me again! She brags about her pregnancy all the time! Didn't even kno til 14 weeks, didn't show til like 25/30 weeks, no sickness, came on due date, and practically sneezed baby out with no meds. Me being sick and not having any energy - I have a auto immune disorder that makes this all harder, but she makes me feel so inadequate and that I'm already doing something wrong.
  • @DuchessOfCambridge my MIL wasn't happy I picked August for my shower. She said too many people would be on vaca. Well 3 people in our immediate family are teachers and another is an aide. So I don't want it in Sept when they go back to work, and our anniversary is in Sept. Anything after is too late for me. So August it is! I'm planning on people saying no ...we can only fit like 50 at my friends house and we have about 65 invited
  • @kaitlinliz pregnant women making other pregnant women feel inadequate makes my blood boil. Be grateful if you have an easy pregnancy, be sympathetic towards those who don't. We're comparing ourselves to others enough on our own, don't need other people to do it. I'm very lucky that I only get nauseous once or twice a week but on those days, I learn my lesson.

  • "Does it have a name?"
"No, SHE (or OUR BABY) does not have a name yet."

My baby is not an "it", so just don't.
  • @cmessamore I call my baby an "it" occasionally because I don't know the sex and I don't want people to make assumptions that I do know and honestly when I'm going on and on I hate to keep saying "the baby" a million times.
Also since I've been back to my hometown everyone on earth is asking if I think it's a boy or girl, what differences I feel,  if we picked out names and then tried to recall the names we didn't use last time (there aren't any, we chose 1 name after we found out she's a girl.) luckily everyone has been lovely and has only said I look great.
  • @ooodalollly Uh, no. I would tell her to consider herself uninvited.

  • @kaitieb14 Your bump is adorable. Has she never seen a pregnant woman before?

Husband was like soooooo how many pregnant people has she actually seen near the end? Also doesn't she know hormones make people crazy so angering you might be a bad idea?
  • @kaitieb14 she's brave. I know women who aren't pregnant that look bigger (in a pregnant looking sense) than you.
  • @kaitieb14 I love your husband's response.   I don't know if it it's hormones but I have found myself actually responding to people when they say dumb stuff instead of just letting it go.  You look great by the way  :)
  • My mom called me Pregzilla because I tried to calmly explain to her why I didn't need anyone's opinion on my birth plan besides my midwife's. She may be getting uninvited to my delivery room this time.

ETA: I use "birth plan" loosely here. She was trying to tell me my grandma wanted me to have an elective c-section.
    Uninvited for sure!

Oooh, just hearing the term "Pregzilla" gets my blood pressure up on your behalf!

I guess they are trying to compliment me, but I hate it when people tell me I hardly look pregnant. Especially on a day I'm wearing clothes that I think accentuate my bump. I'm proud of my little bump, I want to look pregnant, dang it. I think we preggos are adorable!
I hate all "preg" terms. Preggo, preggers, pregzilla. Except pregsomnia. Love that one for some reason.

  • @MississippiCatfish agreed.  Hate all the preg terms... the word preggo makes me cringe so bad.

  • @MississippiCatfish @jess0211 +1 for hating them all. I don't mind preg if it's being used as short for pregnant in typing, but I hate preggo, preggie, etc. It makes me feel like an animal instead of a woman having a baby.
