Guys. Today is day 2 of our first week of summer vacay ( from school ). I'm already fun-mommed out! We went to the pool yesterday and probably will head there for a bit again today because I just don't have anything else fun planned. But I was so tired after we came home. I made them lunch, and fell asleep for 3 hours! I woke up when DH got home from work. My kids are old enough thankfully where I can do that. If they need something they know to come get me. Or sneak it like the candy they did yesterday haha. Meh , you pick your battles.
This is my last week of work at the studio, praise sweet baby Jesus. We have showcase ( recital) Saturday, so it's sure to go out with a bang.
Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is having a great week so far! DD is at the inlaws until Wednesday evening and it's glorious. It's so quiet and peaceful around here! Im taking full advantage of this time alone, prepping for baby and running errands. I may not be posting much for a few days, but I'm love tit-ing the crap out of everything! Happy Tuesday!
I'm super duper bored at work, another counter day where I can't eat any of the donuts I brought, so I'll be spending the morning stalking tracking info (my MM order AND OUR CRIB get here tomorrow!!!!!) and not going to lie, I may even start my hospital bag checklist.
i am so confused on the BIP controversy. i have feelings but i feel like i need to wait for the whole story to come out. but i've read Corrine doesnt blame D just the show. and that she seemed lucid and willing in the tapes. if he took advantage of her that is so wrong, and needs to be dealt with. and as bummed as i am about the show being pulled most likely, i am impressed they took such a stance especially with all that money on the line for the safety of the cast. but i really don't get *if* those reports i read were correct how it is the show's fault. this is hardly the first time people drank all day and then hooked up in the pool...that is a hairy line to cross of when to step in and when not to given the setup of the show. i feel like if something went wrong that is on D, unless of course it was clear she was out of it. i dunno hot topic tuesday?
@carries2018 same here! Too many confusing details coming out so far. But regardless it's a shitty situation all around. I am pissed the show is likely over this year and who knows if it'll survive beyond this scandal.

I peed twice (pretty much in a row) before coming out to the beach this morning. Sat down, sneezed, then peed myself. Enough to wet through to my shorts I still had on. Go me.
Which leads me to this....we've talked on here about about what kind of suits to wear this summer. I ended up with a one piece that I really like. However, it's not convenient when having to go to the bathroom. A tankini would have probably been easier. Oh well, makes me practice my squeezing even more until I get the damn thing pulled down over my bump and rump!
i recently picked up pull to the side method. i thought i invented it! i didnt know it was a standard thing. makes me feel a little less lazy/disgusting. i need a new suit i think i am just going to size up in a reg suit.

side note DD1 was wearing a one piece the other day and she got out of the pool and popped a squat outside (fffc i know, it was my parents pool and H and i didnt want to go inside and get the house wet and DD1 was insisting on peeing outside. and pick your battles and such) anyhoot after she did her business she was struggling so hard to get her suit up and H was like "wow she is having issues" and i was like YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE GO THROUGH AS GIRLS!!
follow up - those having girls. not sure your stance on two piece bathing suits on kids. but work on becoming pro them if you are not already. do you know how hard it is to change a diaper in a one piece? or taking your learning to potty train toddler to the bathroom and struggle getting a wet suit down in time.

Yup same here! I just bought a new bikini to let the bump breathe. Plus I need support for the girls and bikini allows different sizing for tops and bottoms
@carries2018 we are pro-two-piece suits for DD, too! Changing diapers and then potty training in a one-piece is pretty much impossible. Plus, there are plenty of tasteful two-pieces out there, for those of you concerned about putting a little girl in a two piece. DD's got a high waisted one this year!

@beezeemarie Yes!! I refuse to put DD in a bikini, but there's plenty of tankini sets that cover bellies - maybe not DD's because she has a crazy long torso, but I'm okay with an inch of skin showing.

I know every pregnancy is different, but I seriously feel like this kid is about to fall out. When DD would kick, it seemed like she was always kicking up towards the top of my bump or something..at least close to the ribs. This one is like hanging out below the bump, down in the crotch area. I feel like there's maybe an inch between where the baby is kicking and where it will make its exit from...

@natleilynn The babies like to kick their exit, too! It doesn't hurt, just feels weird and uncomfortable at times.
Does anyone else get worried or pray you won't get pooped on when birds or geese fly over your head? So many in flocks here at the beach, I'm bound to get crapped on.

@migdala@natleilynn I never knew that! I did get pooped on when I was a kid out in our backyard. We were heading out to dinner soon and one bird flew over me and crapped on me. Needless to say, dinner got pushed back a little.
I finished OITNB last night. I kept watching, waiting for it to get more interesting. And then it was over. Perhaps that's why they weren't really promoting it this season (whereas I've seen tons of promotion for HOC).

Lol I used to be a competitive swimmer and that was our method of choice.
