How big is your LO?

Genevieve had her 9 month check up yesterday. She is 28.75 inches and weighs 18 lbs 9 oz. (Although she had a ginormus poo on the way home, so her weight might be a little off...) Her weight has dropped to a new percentile curve (again) but her NP thinks she is just leveling off to her "natural" curve now that she is a crawling machine.

I was surprised by how many of the 10-11 month milestones she was already meeting. It just goes to show how much we worry about what we think our LOs should be doing, and forgetting the range of time they should meet milestones in.

Since we are all having our 9 month check-ups, I was wondering- how big is your LO? Anything interesting come up?

At Olivia's 9 month check up she was 20lbs and 26 inches. However she is 10 months old tomorrow.

DD doesn't have hers til next week, but at 8 months she was 29" and 16 pounds (according to my measurements and bathroom scale).

Wow, my DD is so much bigger! She's 24lbs abd 30'. I was also told to expect her to walk soon since she been pulling up for a few weeks now ahhh!!!

DD is almost 10 months but at her 9 month appointment she was a little over 16 pounds and 26 inches.

We went for an ear infection last week and she was 17.1 lbs when they weighed her.

Our check up isn't until Thursday...but I measured her today and I got between 28 and 29 inches (she was wiggling all over the place). And last time we weighed her (about 3 weeks ago on our bathroom scale) she was 21 pounds.

She is the same size as the 14 month old she has playgroup with!

At Giselle's 9 month check up she was 29 3/4 inches long & weighed 22lbs.

At his 9 month check he was 19 lbs 5 oz (27th percentile) and 29.4" (82nd percentile). I was concerned that his weight percentile dropped again (from 35th at the 6 months) but his pedi said he's perfect and he's just leveling out. His doctor was very pleased with where he is with everything and I try not to worry about things, although I have been a little stressed about how he still gags and pukes when we do finger foods.

Harper was 16 lbs 15 oz and 27.75 inches. Tannah was 17 lbs 10 oz and 29 inches. I was a little concerned about Harper because she dropped in percentiles for both height and weight, but I think that Tannah hit a growth spurt that Harper hasn't yet (they're usually much closer in height). They're both pulling to standing and cruising around furniture. Tannah lets go for a few seconds here and there. I try not to stress out too much about milestones, because they both hit them at different times.

Liam is about the same as Genevieve. He's 17 1/2 lbs and 28 1/2 inches... His weight went down a percentile, too, but the pedi said that's normal considering how he's crawling all over the place.

At her 9 month appointment, she weighed 20 lbs, 4 oz, and was 29" long. Her percentiles have dropped from 90-98th down to 75th-90th. The pedi said the same thing about it being because of how mobile she is now.

He doesn't really tell me if she's meeting milestones above her age. He asks me about age-appropriate milestones (all of which she has met), but he doesn't ask about advanced behaviors, so I'm not sure..

He was surprised by her 8 teeth and by looking in her mouth said her molars would be on their way soon. Just this week, she's started drooling like a basset hound again and chewing on her fingers with the back part of her gums. Oy.

At our 9 month check up our NP does a developmental screening questionnaire as part of her exam. It covers everything from motor skills to social behaviors. The age range on the one we did goes up to 11 months (I assume there will be a 12+ month one). It's pretty detailed.

As of last week Owen was 16lbs 7 oz & 28" and Amelia was 17lbs 4 oz and 27.5". Owen dropped from the 10th percentile to below the 5th percentile so we're trying to add some weight to him with more solids feedings in addition to his normal nursing sessions and nightly bottle. Both babies are super active (crawling, pulling up & cruising whenever they're given the chance) so we're not super worried yet. We'll reevaluate at their 1 year appt.

DS will be 9 months old next week. I measured him this wkd and he was 17 lbs, 28 inches. He is extremely active all day long so he is a pretty lean baby.

DS was 18lbs 8oz and 28inches long. 19%ile for weight and 45%ile for height. Pedi isn't concerned bc he's been crawling for about 2 months now so he's more active.
