pretty bored here too. I've started doing crossword puzzles but the condition is I must stand up when I do them to promote some circulation during work.
lol I have also been extra-productive with actual work due to the lack of bumping lately. I even cleaned the kitchen a bit this afternoon when work was slow. DH will be shocked when he gets home. I'm debating starting the laundry, but I don't want to raise his expectations too high.
We finally chose a diaper bag this weekend. DH wants something not too girly or expensive, and I want something lightweight and functional. Since you guys convinced me backpack is the way to go, we are going with the Skip Hop Forma Pack and Go (https://a.co/69KNOsi). I'm debating also getting a shoulder bag, but we will see how it goes with this one first. Now we just need to choose a car seat...
Meanwhile it's been super busy at work. To the point where I didn't even take a lunch today. But before we sound the whistles, there was a potluck for staff meeting and then in afterschool we had a goodbye dinner for the seniors. So I had lunch and dinner at work. I even prepped a dinner plate for hubby cuz I'm resourceful
I just came back from the grocery store. We needed a few things that couldn't wait until tomorrow. I realized again why I hate most regular grocery stores. So freaking expensive. I spent 70 bucks When if I did my usual rounds at my usual places , it would be almost half that. Ugh. And it wasn't even unusual items. Stuff I normally buy like milk and eggs etc
@canonmom413 same here. Luckily after work today I get to just pick up my groceries from the parking lot. Ordering from my local stores website saves a lot of unnecessary purchases but it's still adds up.
@spark88 Thank you. I am estimating a full week of hell. That's how long it took to stop the MOTN feeds plus some. The nursing and nipple twiddling is driving me insane.
So I read baby a book last night, because at this point her ears are formed and she can hear conversations I read brown bear, and DH was super unimpressed with the quality of children's books he kept saying we should write our own and get rich. K, babe.
Also, last night there was a tornado watch, and it's supposed to storm all day and is currently monsoon raining, so I'm going to be hibernating in my cave at home today and need all of you to be active and keep me entertained kthanks.
Gah. Being busy at work really eats into my Bump time.

of them and things were looking up when i decided to get a bagel. but
then they gave me plain cream cheese not veggie. and now i just need to
call it a day bc there is no point with continuing on with this stupid
day
@JessDG I hear you on wanting to buy all the children's books! I come from a family of avid readers, and H was a history major, so our house is full of books. We bought a whole bunch of Golden Books on eBay recently and got a great deal.
@carries2018 I saw a video of a baby who was born at 23 weeks and was only 9oz and 9 inches long ( she didn't grow much past 19 weeks due to strain on her umbilical cord). Super sad to see, but pretty surreal to see that's what my babes looks like in size right now. She they equated her size to 2 inches smaller than a standard Barbie.
I've got DD1's school end of year picnic today. Last week was DD2's. I got subway for hers last week, and DD1 said she wants subway herself today . So I guess I'm getting another Listeria sub. I also stupidly volunteered to help set up. Not sure how much of a help I will be. I just like going early to get good parking.

A friend of mine had twins at 23 weeks (they're healthy 2 year olds now), but I find myself constantly thinking about what they looked like and how crazy it would be to give birth in a couple weeks. Stay inside all you October babies for a few more months please!
Keep cooking, babies! (Wow, almost skipped the comma there, bad idea.)
Speaking of books, I'm a huge bookworm too so we will have (and already have) a huge collection of children's books. Where are you ladies keeping them? Buying a bookshelf for the nursery? I'm concerned about space btw the crib, changing table, glider and dresser
@bluejeanbabi05 I have an obscene amount of books because my mom kept all of mine (which was awesome). I've always kept the majority of them on a shelf in the closet that only I can reach, and then I have a basket on the floor in her bedroom and one in the playroom where I will switch out the books from the closet every once in a while.
honestly, I knew if I kept them where she could reach them I would be picking up a hundred books everyday lol when kids are older they can have a bookcase.
ETA: obviously less of a concern with a newborn but it's never too early to prepare for the toddler stage lol
@bluejeanbabi05 I put a bookshelf in the closet for DD. But we are downsizing houses so I am not sure where I am will put them now.
@JessDG I wanted a lot of kids books too. For my baby shower they asked for books instead of cards. I also hit up garage sales. Even at DDs daycare they have book orders once in awhile. It's fun.
We have one of those Ikea shelves with 8 cubes that's filled with books in DS's room. I totally make up my own words sometimes if I feel like speeding things up. I also made the mistake of telling him "don't pick that one, it's boring" so now he thinks it's funny to pick the boring book and say "Oh no this one's boring!" and throw it on the ground.
@bluejeanbabi05 I just added a bookshelf to my registry. I registered a tall narrow one from target. I'm worried about the space situation too. We are doing that thing where the guests bring a book in lieu of a card so I think we'll have tons of books. Suddenly this room is looking smaller to me ahh!
