I know the maturity clothes struggle. I checked old navy and they constantly had nothing. I went to Macy's and found the best things there with great sales and awesome clearance.
Putting this is a FFSC .... in currently wearing the same maternity shorts for the 3rd day in a row because my other pair and my flowy dress are in the wash. To be fair I only wore them for a few hours both previous days. I hate maternity clothes but am sick of buying clothes bigger just to lose ( hopefully) the weight and have frumpy clothes. Old navy is okay but the stores close are terrible with selection. I hate ordering that type of stuff online. I had a few luck pieces with zulily but still.
I'm going maternity clothes shopping today. Based on what people have said, I wouldn't bother with Motherhood except that I have a gift card. I've gotten some stuff on Zulily too, but it takes foreverrrrrr to ship.
On that topic, how necessary is maternity underwear?
@soprano19 not, imo. I did buy granny underwear for after the birth, to provide fuller coverage for the gross that happens, but during pregnancy? Regular undies all the way!
@soprano19 I just bought larger underwear and it works. Motherhood maternity is expensive but will sometimes have good deals or you may score some good deals on their clearance racks. I got a tank top I really like for like $5. Good luck! I've had good luck at Old Navy, but I find more online I like than in the store. They ship pretty fast too and usually have 30-40% off total sale on nonsale items.
I'm a special snowflake with undies. Not sure why but even larger size undies were just not working for me so I bought maternity cut. They were cheap on Amazon- I'm not loving the panty line they give with dresses...I might try maternity shape wear...
@curlyq423 I did surprisingly well at the Motherhood outlet today... I got a pair of capris, a pair of shorts, and two tanks, and I had a gift card so it didn't end up costing too much. A lot of their stuff was cuter than I expected, but I also feel like it wasn't any cuter than the non-maternity clothes I already have that still work, like regular maxi dresses and stuff. I might try Old Navy too though!
