So this morning I was laying in bed after waking up , you know, browsing TB and FB. Little man was pretty active. I lifted my shirt and actually saw my belly bouncing around. Coolest little milestone ever. He is very active while I try to fall asleep at night, throughout the night, and very early in the morning. Please tell me that is not a foreshadow of what the future holds!
@canonmom413 all of my kids have been active mainly at night and early morning. I never had any issues with them wanting to stay up all night when they were babies. They would eat and go back to sleep lol. Now toddler years are a completely different story...
Oh and science: unborn babies just tend to move more when you're relaxed. When you're moving around during the day, it lulls them to sleep
DS gave me a hug yesterday and then said "I need to hug my baby sister too!" and hugged my belly. Then he gave her kisses. Okay, I'll try to stop gushing now.

Yeaaaahhh... That was my fault, @Brambles23. End of the month is always crazy for me.

That being said, I'm in my busy time at work. If anyone wants to take over starting the Wednesday Ticker Change or STM+ Check In threads feel free! If I remember/have time and it hasn't been posted I'll gladly start it but certainly don't wait for me (or this might be you).

I'm loving all the sweet sibling comments! DD's obsessed with my belly and all things baby sister. Maybe we should start an AW thread to share things our toddlers/kids say? It could be other funny non-baby things too. I can't believe some of the things that come out of DD's mouth. Thoughts?

@beezeemarie I'm down. DS says things that have me laughing out loud on the daily.

Today I have the terrible task of trying to figure out clothes that fit me for a 2 week work trip that I leave for this weekend. LLR leggings and irmas will not work. Uggggggg. Most likely I will end up online shopping tonight and shipping stuff to my hotel. Sorry, credit card. ;-)
+1 to Loving all the sibling stories!! I have so many good ones I could share about DD but don't want to AW and take over threads. I love the idea of another thread to do that in!
I finally went through my pants drawer and took everything out, shoved them under the bed, and replaced them with maternity pants and shorts. Now it's sooooo much easier to find pants that fit me, and I don't have them all hanging over the back of the computer chair.
I never post in my Ticker Change cuz I'm a rebel. Eta: actually because I usually forget
Just had lunch with a friend, and said something about how I'm glad I'm out of the first tri, and she goes "wow look at you using fancy pregnancy terms"

Ugh I'm exhausted. DD has invented this new game where I walk around with her giant Minnie Mouse stuffed animal and she talks to it like it's her friend. It pretty much just involves me following her all around the house, mostly getting Minnie in and out of her cozy coupe toy car, "driving to the park", and jumping on things. It's pretty funny and her imagination is wild, but she gets mad when Minnie Mouse says she wants to take a nap.
@canonmom413 I was just thinking how I wanted to get started on picking out a diaper bag, especially since we were thinking we'd need two: I want a shoulder carry and DH wants a backpack style. I remember how much I loved the Lily and Jade one you posted in FFFC a few weeks back, so I dug through that thread and found it on their site. IT'S BOTH SHOULDER CARRY AND BACKPACK! DH LOVES IT! So excited, looks like we have a winner.
Unless there's some reason I should have one of my own and can't just transfer it to DH when he needs it?
@bluejeanbabi05 while you could definitely make it work with one bag, it might be helpful to have two. When I'm carrying a diaper bag it doubles as my purse, so I have a lot of things for me in there too - chapstick/makeup, breast pads, tampons/panty liners, sunglasses, all my other ish.

@bluejeanbabi05 You can totally switch between you and DH. Someone just posted on fb a pic of their DH wearing a charcoal she wanted to sell to get a brandy colored. But it must have been deleted. He was a hot dad too.
Guyyyssss I just got to hold and cuddle a 10 day old baby boy!! One of our customers came in to bring her daughter in for class so she brought baby in too. He was born 6 weeks premature. He only spent 4 days in NICU. He's doing amazing and is just so small and cuddle. Like his head was the size of my palm. Squeeee!!!

This kid needs a sibling, stat.
This is exactly how I feel about DS needing a sibling. I don't stay home with him, but just the few hours we're together in the mornings and evenings are full of pretend play and "let's run!" and "mommy monster!" and basically all the imaginative games in which I'm not allowed to sit down. It's exhausting. I can't wait until he has someone else to play with.
@canonmom413 I have zero self control. Zero. I am about to pull the trigger on it because it's on saaaalllleee! It's backordered til July but that's fine. Why do I feel the need to buy everything rightnow.
oh and this is the one I love, it's a little different from the one you posted:
@bluejeanbabi05 I got 2 diaper bags bc I thought for sure H would need one. But it just ended up sitting there with diapers that were too small in it. It was just easier to have one that we knew had formula, diapers, wipes, clothes etc. so alas H rocked a pink bag. I used it as my purse but I had a fancy oversized wallet I would just get that out of the bag and carry it.
@canonmom413 think he would go for $160 on a diaper bag? I just got mine, and it's a similar style to the ones you liked (and has the backpack or shoulder options). I love it!

We have a wedding reception tomorrow evening at 6pm but it doesn't say on the invite anything about dinner, do I assume there won't be a meal provided and we should eat before? They got married last month in California just them two, so there won't be a ceremony, just the reception. I really just want to know if we should feed our son before we go.
I feel like I have nothing worthwhile to add because my brain is mush from 3 busy days at work.
@curlyq423 Since the reception is right at dinner time, the etiquette should be to provide dinner. But since they didn't specify, it's probably a good idea to eat at least a little something ahead of time. Maybe they are just doing appetizers?
@curlyq423 I also think etiquette would be to provide dinner, or at least put on the invitation that they will be serving appetizers only. I would be bummed to go there expecting dinner and not being fed!
@OliveOyl2014 Yeah, I told my husband since it's at dinner time and a lot of people are traveling from out of town, I assumed they would provide a meal. But he was the one that said it never mentioned it. I don't really care, I just want to know if I should feed my threenager becuase it's not always fun when he hasn't had food, haha! I'll probably just take some snacks and if they don't have a meal, then we can stay a couple hours then take off and eat if he gets too crazy.
Similar to the man bun poll, I wish we could poll men on what they think when women wear mascara that makes it look like tarantula legs are coming out of their eyeballs. It's so trendy to wear craptons of mascara these days and I think it looks terrrible. I just can't imagine men finding it attractive either but I admittedly don't really know what men find attractive so I'd love to see a poll.
H always comments on overuse of makeup. he cannot stand it. and im over there in the corner thinking "hmmm i thought it looked pretty. i would do that too if i could muster up the energy to just apply makeup lololzzz"
