@DuchessOfCambridge it's never too soon! I think the second trimester is the perfect time. You have energy to paint and move things around, plus everything is easier when you don't have a watermelon sized belly. We started talking about exactly where we're going to move all the furniture in DD2's room to make room for the baby stuff again the day I found out. I think a lot of people wait until after their showers but if you have the stuff, set it up! Go crazy!
@am+mommy we won't have most things until my shower which is early in my third tri buttt with all of Nov17s blessings, I think we might just get ourselves a crib and changing dresser in the near future ! Once I find out gender I'm buying alllllllll the clothes. I don't care if I shouldn't because people will get me clothes, I still want them.
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm the same way! I buy all the cute baby clothes. It's so hard not too! My advice is don't buy much newborn sized, it's by far the cutest but if you have a baby that's a bit larger they may never fit in any newborn size. That happened with my nieces, straight into 3month. Big babies run in DH's family. Three 10 pounders and SIL had twins each 8.5 lbs. Luckily DD was just 8.
@DuchessOfCambridge. I bought so so many clothes for DS1 and I was happy I did. Some people got me outfits but not many (maybe you get more with a girl???) and I was particular in how I wanted him dressed. His closet was perfect with all matching hangers and light blue outfits. It made me so happy!

This sounds like something out of a beautiful dream. Want. (If LO is a boy like I think it is)
@DuchessOfCambridge I have dropped some not so subtle hints that I want my nursery room ASAP. Alas I may have to wait until the last week of July (ahhh) I'm dying to get started though
Once we have a private FB group, I think we should do home tours for those interested. I love seeing how other people decorate! ...is this creepy of me?

One we close next month, I will happily PM you my home listing so you can stalk it (once I don't live there anymore).
@DuchessOfCambridge we are moving furniture around this weekend in nursery and dh is putting together some organization stuff for the closet. I can't wait to the last minute, it causes anxiety.
Honestly my 2.5y/o DD has me petrified of this LO being another girl. She is my pistol. Not only has she previously yanked her curtains (rod and brackets and anchors out of the drywall included) out of her wall, tonight she threw a toy hard enough to shatter the glass in a frame hanging on the wall.
K seminserious question here. Is there somewhere that you can either a) sell your husband or b) buy some sort of drive that you can inject into their brain to make them less clueless?

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Those things sound little but are SOOOOOOOooo frustrating!
Can we have a thread where we allow autocorrect to make it's ridiculous mistakes, but none of us re-corrects them, and you just have to guess what's being said?
@MississippiCatfish lol the autocorrect on here is horrible. That could be fun. Sometimes I type a whole paragraph and I can't even figure out what I was trying to say. Bumping on mobile is difficult for me but I don't use the computer much.
I finally shaved my legs etc, after a few weeks! I'm my defense we had no razor blades, and it isn't exactly shorts weather here anyway. I feel like a completely new woman now instead of like the photo below
@DuchessOfCambridge I think the nursery set up is completely upto you and what you're comfortable with! I'm still not sure when I want to transition DS3's room into a shared room for him and this LO.
*TW* My last pregnancy had so many very early preterm labor scares that part of me is terrified to set up the nursery too early. The other side of that is that I spent almost half of my last pregnancy on bedrest and I want to be the one to set everything up. I'm so torn. */TW*
@JDW0325 My left boob is a lot bigger than my right too.
So DH is being held back in Korea about a week longer. It's so last minute and the paper work still isn't official so we can't change our flights yet and we'll probably have to pay $2k to ship our dogs back with a shipping company since having them fly with us is unlikely with such short notice. And that means my tiny 3.5lb Maltese would be flying in cargo. I keep randomly crying because I'm so stressed.
@DuchessOfCambridge My Dec15 FB group has random threads like "GTKY- Show me your closet" or playroom, or fridge. You get the idea. I don't think it's creepy at all. I love seeing other people's stuff
I can't remember what thread we talked about this in, but while I was putting our cart back at target this morning, someone moved my coffee from here to their own sippy cup holder in their car seat, as if I wouldn't notice. Nice try kid.
@DuchessOfCambridge For our first, I started working on the nursery before we started trying to get pregnant. We weren't ready to start trying, but my clock was ticking rather loudly in my ears, so I got started on the nursery so I could keep myself occupied and not harass my DH for babies. It worked beautifully and when we did get pregnant the nursery was all ready for me to fill with clothes and supplies, so my urge to nest was satisfied.
@mariposa_767s Was it at least someone you know and did you slap their hand? I hate bump touchers.
I got my first stranger mentioning my bump comment the other day. I thought that was ballsy of her.
I am a terrible person to ask about the crib. We bought ours while I was in active labor, soooooo don't wait that long lol
This poor baby is not getting a nursery. Eventually he's sharing a room with DS but for the first year he'll be with us in our room. So I'm just getting something to organize his clothes and blankets in our room and make the transition to a dual room later.
@ariasbabyblog it's someone at work. There are a couple of touchy/feely people here. I guess I just wasn't ready for that yet. Pretty sure I gave him a side eye.
@BayCamp ours is going to be in our room for a bit as well. Not sure where to after that, but I figure we have some time to sort it. We currently have a very comfortable 19yr old in the bedroom downstairs, and a 16 yr old and 5 yr old in the two other bedrooms upstairs. I bought a used changing table shelf to put in our bedroom to store diapers, clothes and such. It's a "changing table" but it's the one that looks like a three tier shelf, which is how we'll use it. I'm way too awkward to change a wiggly on a sideways changing table. We also still have 5's crib. I'm hoping this will allow me to avoid all of the nursery décor expenses.
Re: Weekly Randoms 5/22

edited because I thought I was done and wasn't
DS1 is 7. DD is 1. DS2 is coming in late April.
She had 3 in 3 and then triplets! They're so adorable.
