I'm relishing a day with no visitors. I need the visits to slooooow down - I'm still just as much of the introvert that I was before I had the baby. I put on makeup and yoga pants this morning because I wanted to feel pretty but also comfortable, and my plan is to write thank yous, watch HGTV, and hang out with my dog and Jay. DH is out until the afternoon so I have the house to myself. Feeling good today!

My my mom is on her way to help clean and organize. Oh and get some freezer meals and what not. She really thinks this little guy is coming soon! Hoping to get the supplies to make the letters for the nursery and the hot air balloon light. We may go to dinner tonight to celebrate a friend's graduation, but not sure yet. Tomorrow I think we'll go get the coming home outfit H really wants. Hope it's still there! Maybe I'll be able to get my eyebrows threaded as well! They're driving me nuts! Oh and I think mom is cutting my hair today! Yay!!

We're going to get DS's hair trimmed today and headed to the mall to play at indoor playground and buy him some new sneakers. My mom is taking DS tonight and I'm looking forward to an empty house this evening and tomorrow morning. I have some work "nesting" to finish up before baby arrives. I have 6 administrative hearings on Wednesday to make it through (fingers crossed) and then baby can come whenever he or she wants.

I was looking over hospital bag list and realized that I never picked up a baby book. I hope to swing by Hallmark and hopefully they will have something that will work.

I've got no plans either. I might go buy a coming-home outfit for the baby and do some other impulsive in-person shopping since this might be our last weekend of total freedom (FTM). It's been raining for 2 days though, so there's a chance I might just loaf around at home.

We recently discovered that we have a local package thief. Our friend sent us a hand-knitted baby blanket that was pilfered from our front porch.

And a box from amazon (containing my breast pump) had been opened and rifled through the same day. I hate that people steal packages! Who steals baby stuff?! Seriously?! Anyway, we have another package coming today, so I'm going to try to intercept the delivery person to see if they will put our packages on the side of the house from now on.

@BabyMC517 you're going to be busy! That's nice your mom is coming to help with everything. Does your mom always cut your hair? I never get mine done mostly out of laziness, but if a family member would come and do it I would gladly pay them to!

@clebl24 I completely put baby books our of my head because I still haven't found one I really like that doesn't cost a fortune. Now I have one more thing to add to my list ...

@cclaineDC sorry about your packages! The guy that delivers for Amazon here is notorious for just leaving things on our step and not even bothering to ring the bell. I haven't had anything stolen but we live on a busy road and it's only a matter of time. Drives me nuts!! I've called and complained but now I think he's just doing it to spite me. I'm home all day! How hard is it to at least ring the bell so I know something is there?!

We came to my fiances parents house today. They live about an hour south of us. I'm sad because everyone will be hanging out in the pool later and I can't get in for a few more weeks (c-section). I guess I can sit on the side and have my legs dangle by the steps.

Tomorrow my parents are coming over to help finish up some landscaping (thanks HOA for the nasty letter) the. We are hoping to get the garage organized a bit.

My fiancé is off one more week with me, I'm going to be so sad when he goes back to work. It's been so nice having him home!

@wombthereitis I'll trade ya-- I had a tough time staring at my face during my last haircut. My complexion has gone down the crapper and the woman cutting my hair looked like a goddess.

@CherryBananas my mom is a hair stylist

she's the only one I trust to cut my crazy curly hair! I've had others when I lived in Cali and when I was stubborn when younger, but got over that real quick! Everyone seems to mess it up or wants to use thinning shears and those just don't work on my hair! I'm very lucky to have her be able to cut and color my hair!

Happy weekend!! I wish it would stop raining already so we could actually do something outside!

We've had a pretty lazy morning of french toast and movie watching and will head out to the mall and run a few other errands to grab some last minute things for baby prep. A friend recommended grabbing a nightgown for post C-section and I always only wear shorts so I figured it couldn't hurt to grab one.

I'm hoping the weather holds out tomorrow so we can do maternity photos!

I definitely went straight to Ulta and got some dark spot corrector after I was done. I 100% get it.

It's our towns "city wide yard sale" day so we are going to go drive around and see if anything catches our eye, maybe do a little walking around. And then we realized last night trying to do 1 am diaper changes, we didn't have a good light source. It was too dark with nothing but the bedside table or our phone flashlights were too bright. So we are gonna go look at some night lights or dimmers.

Due date tomorrow. Freaking out over here. Lol. My husband is taking a break from work starting tomorrow too, so he can drive me to the hospital when needed and stuff (he's self employed so he has a flexible schedule).

Thanks @kns1988! I have an appointment scheduled for Tue if the baby isn't here by then and i'll probably discuss scheduling induction at the end of next week/beginning of the week after. I don't really want to go full 42 weeks.

Went to brunch this morning with an old coworker which was nice. Just cleaned out my car and it is ready for the car seat base!
Only thing left to do is pack the hospital bag and we are ready to go.
It's so crazy to me that people are having babies on their due dates and whatnot! May 27th feels so far away!

I had a haircut yesterday. Fortunately (in this case), I wear glasses and take them off during my haircuts.

Nesting hardcore today. Hoping to finally get everything hung up in the nursery and everything I might need in the first couple of weeks out of the box (and the boxes/packages recycled or thrown away). I'm so sick of the clutter. Need to find a place for everything!!!!

It's baby shower day today, SIL set up our apartment last night and it looks pretty damn adorable, just hoping to get some turnout since I got up to a few "going to have to stop by later" and "not sure if I can make it" texts.
On another note, last night I had quite a few intense contractions and have been cramps all week so I hope this is a sign that baby is about to make his exit soon. We have pretty much all of the essentials ready for his arrival and I'm beyond ready for him to be here. DH and I were even laughing last night saying watch, he'll end up coming tonight because the baby shower is today.

@vrj0522 I feel 1000x better than I did after having DD. Like physically I have no pain except for cramping (which second baby cramping is no joke!). I had some mild post partum depression with DD so this time I'm determined to get back to doing our normal things as quickly/safely as possible.

She's over it now. She's getting jealous and acting out. It's been a tough week, but she's slowly getting better.

Sounds like everyone is enjoying their weekends so far! Pretty sure I did too much walking around today. My feet are so swollen! It we got groceries, the letters for the nursery, some storage for the nursery, and my hair did! Just gotta do the organizing stuff and washing the CDs and bottles. We should be good to go then! Hospital bag is partially packed...few more things to add but I can't decide what I don't want to where for the next couple of weeks lol

Our weekend is just the regular brand of crazy. Hit up the mall this morning followed by DS's swim class and went out for lunch. Worked up DD's birth announcements during nap (yay!) and watched a movie post nap. Now watching DH and DS make muffins. Adorable. And counting down the minutes to toddler bed time.

Tomorrow is a similar agenda. Because my life pretty much revolves around my toddler.

We've been in our house for 3.5 years now with a gravel driveway. However as of today, we have a cement driveway! I am so happy because it looks so nice and big. As silly as it sounds, I also like shoveling snow. Winter will be so much easier this year.

I must be getting old to be this excited about a driveway.

@mcvgal Yay! That's exciting. I wish we could do cement, too, but it'd be such an astronomical cost with how long our driveway it. I've been contemplating if we could maybe do a small pad near the house to park on. I'd love for our kids to be able to draw on it with chalk like I did when I was young.

@starphish18 we had just a small pad directly in front of the garage at first. The boys loved it for chalk drawing and for their scooters. With my excitement today, you know I'd recommend at least the small pad.

Just catching up on all the posts...

Salon mirrors: wassup with that? Thought it was just me. But like @starphish18, I just take my glasses off and it's all good!

Package thieves: what would you do if you caught one in the act? As much as we order from Amazon, I've contemplated this and haven't come up with anything good.

Baby prep: hospital bags are packed! Woo! LO' s coming home outfit is washed and packed as well! Currently, washing DS'S carseat and stroller upholstery (better wording?). Then reinstalling along with LO' s carseat. And most importantly, WE HAVE DECIDED ON A NAME finally. I'll let the suspense linger and wait until he's here to introduce him properly! I Was going to sterilize things... But thinking I'll wait until I get my new Breastpump (gotta wait until after LO is born to order through insurance) and have MH do it. FX BF will be easier and no bottles involved at least for the first week or two.

We also decided to go to the hospital that is closest to us (the one I was at the other night for 4 hours) vs the one DS was born at that is 45 min away. It'll allow MH to check on DS who will be with MIL at our house which is only 15 min away. The RN in me is cringing a bit because this hospital has a special care nursery and not a NICU like the other hospital... So I need all the positive vibes to not need either.
