  • @RainyDays86 I have heard of uneven swelling and actually it's more common on the right I believe. It's *probably* nothing but especially with being post-op I would just give them a call.

@RainyDays86 I had /have swelling mostly on my left foot and ankle, I ended up checking in with my Dr who ended up not being concerned at all, never hurts to call in though for a quick opinion!

  • @starphish18 big organized groups intimidate me too. I lucked out and it turns out our neighborhood has a ton of kids so once my toddler was old enough to play outside more I got to know the other moms watching kids on the street.

You could do something similar with parks or walking trails. Once I was out of the first few crazy weeks I liked taking baby out on walks on the greenway and you definitely start to see regulars out there with strollers and you could more or less mom date them lol.

@RainyDays86 yeah uneven swelling post op gets the side eye. I trend puffier on the left and apparently it's ok for me but when you have some risk factors I would go in if you can swing it.

  • @starphish18 I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I'm kinda in the same boat, but most of my friends have kids who are older so I've always gone to them to work around their kid's activities. I'm stressed that now that my life is changing we'll never see each other. I'm crazy shy around people I don't know well so the thought of having to make a new group of friends is really hard. I connected with a few of the moms in my prenatal class, but you're right about it feeling like dating! I don't want to come on too strong, but I feel like if someone doesn't initiate something nothing will happen and then I'll have to start over again with a new group. Ugh. Anyways, all that to say you're not alone, and I hope you're able to find other moms like you.

  • @vrj0522 I hope some of us May17 can meet up!
  • @vrj0522 thats so awesome! My s14 just syarted talking about a big meetup like that but a lot of us just had 2nd+ babies or are pregnant so were putting it on hold for now. Some are planning a decent sized meetup somewhere in or near nyc area. I have met a few moms individually and its always so awesome :)

  • @vrj0522 That sounds like so much fun!
