hi ladies just go home from ER and I got 7 woo hoo! She said they all look good so praying this can be my golden bunch! They could not get my IV in my arm and had to put it in my hand which definitely was not fun, made the process hurt a bit more. So far the cramping isn't as bad as last time which is great but my head is still hurting and this nausea is not cute, hopefully a nap will help! My blood pressure took a while to normalize so I feel like i was thee for a much longer period of time. The girl that went second was released before not that its a race but I know OH was wondering where i was poor thing.

Does the trigger shot make you gain more weight? Never thought of it much but just in 3 days i gained another 5lbs it just doesn't seem right

@littledarlins -the antibiotic they gave me is safe...the pharmacy said it was a "weird on" that they had to order. I told them it's because I'm pregnant. The itching isn't from the antibiotic because I was itching before I started it

I was hoping that somehow the antibiotic would help the itching, but nope

I might go to a dermatologist...not sure yet.

Hi ladies Fertilization report is in thank g-d all 7 fertilized, yay!! Praying this is my golden batch!! I'm excited to have 7 fertilized praying they can make it. As for my hand its still throbbing but the nurse was really nice and applied pressure so it wouldn't bruise. The Anesthesiologist just wasn't my cup of tea. he thinks its his show and the world revolves around him. He was all hyper and happy stating why aren't I smiling and such. I just looked at him and said I guess when you MC twins this part isn't so easy. Something like that, I know he's a Dr and I should be glad he did his job but he definitely hurt me. I actually screamed in pain when he put the meds in before I went under and his answer..."yea it hurts more in the hand." Really ASS why I asked for you not to put in there. Just glad its over.
My head actually hurt the most this time around. Yesterday I had a tough time sleeping but today I'm finally resting!
So since this cycle I have literally gained 10lbs I know i haven't been eating great but this is insane! I only had 7 eggs so I really cant have OHSS, i'm super bloated, gained another 2lbs post hoping tomorrow some of it will go down. I'm drinking fluids but I can't find a spot on me thats no bloated! I'm living in sweats! Now back to worrying about my embabies

Prudence9 Still feeling bloated but really my recovery has been better then the last round hoping thats a promising thing for whatever reason. Should get an update tomorrow - just praying its good news!! Sorry AF hasn't arrived, when do you go back for bw?

Hi Ladies! Have my update from today and not really sure how to feel about it.

Luckily all 7 are still growing but remember day 3 they should all be an 8 cell and only 3 are right now and last time 5 were at an 8 cell by day 3 and we see how well that went.

I know they tell you its how they test and not how they look but worried that the others wont catch up and i'm lucky if i have 3 to test again! How many cycles are we suppose to go through this. I know my body can do it so WTH! Feeling a bit down...

@Hopeful_mom if I remember correctly from my IVF, it is ok to have anywhere from 6 to 10 cells. I think I had anywhere from 6 to 10. (I can look it up later when I get home. I think I saved the day 3 results)

hey! my itching is terrible. it's a combo of a red rash with small red bumps and there are hives sometimes too. tomorrow I have an ultrasound, followed by meeting with the nurse. of course, like usual, I am nervous about the ultrasound! it's impossible not to worry or think something could go wrong. I will obviously show the nurse my skin. they don't seem to think it's hormonal, but I truly do. I read a lot of people who had it during the first trimester. I will ask the nurse what she suggests I do/ what dr. to see. Unfortunately, from what I read, it doesn't sound like much can be done besides allergy meds (I take benadryl, but will ask if I can up it) and cream (I am using anti-itch cream.) I read some people are prescribed steroid cream, but I don't feel comfortable using that.

@hopeful_mom -It seems like your ICSI are doing better, but the others aren't far behind. May I ask, why didn't you do all ICSI? Were those the ones that did better last time?

Funny you ask about the icsi vs ivf I thought about it myself but RE believes in both. AND ICSI is in the hands of ppl. I looked into it and I had 2 different ppl do my icsi each round so since I asked for one of the ppl not to do it I heard the head of the dept was going to do it yay!! Maybe if I knew that I wouldve done all of them then

I will say its also because OH had a really good sample that they didn't seem in necessary to do all icsi either. Its hard as I was comparing it to last time too...BUT I would like to think that this time I'm ahead of the game especially since all of the 7 eggs I got fertilized unlike last time AND last time I really lost 2 at day 3, I'm trying to hope they can all catch up and make it to blasts!! Some ppl have also mentioned as long as the cells are between 6-10 i'm still in it, so i'm going to try and believe that for the next couple of days!

Prudence9 I'm sorry ur beta isnt negative i know you hate hearing one more week BUT I do think this time you're closer! It just stinks, its like our bodies really want to be preggers...why they hold on to the hcg for so long. Maybe your body is just telling you it needs a lil bit more healing. And yes I'd be interested to hear what your day 3 is if you still have it.

found my day 3 IVF report. All my embryos were grade 1 or 2. And all had 6, 8 or 10 cells.

All were cobsidered good.

Prudence9 12 is close hopefully its one week and not two...I know it can go either way unfortunately. Thanks for the info! Did any of your 6 cell ones make it through? I'm still going to TRY VERY HARD to be optimistic!!

What I find interesting is one of my grade 7A was a 5B on day 2...so at first it was ahead of the game and then it slowed down, how strange is that. I think theres a part of me that was hoping one would be looking like a day 4 already (too many cells to even count) The cycle I got pregnant I had one of those, so of course I think my normal embaby was that one that was transferred on day 3.

@Hopeful_mom they actually never told me which ones of mine with any grade made it to day 5 & 6... they just gave me all the day 3 grades and then the day 5 & 6 grades. Without saying what each one that made it was before.

Wouldnt 7B be more advanced than 5A? I'm not sure what the letters in your grading means. But if on day 2 it had 5 cells than 7 is going forward. No?

Yes you are correct 7A is more advanced then 5B. My thought process was if it was 5cell by day 2 (which is normally a 4 cell) i wouldve thought by day 3 it wouldve been more a 8/10 cell not a 7 cell. I need all my embabies to be strong marathon runners making it till the end, not just super fast 100 meter runners

Normally they dont give you such details BUT they know who they are dealing with SO they usually give me all the info they have. The fact is I thought the cell that was 5B on day 2 wouldve been one of the ones that was 8A today, I was surprised that it was one of the 7A ones. Does that make sense?

@Hopeful_mom ah! I see what you mean!! I'm surprised they check on day 2. My clinic didn't want to "disturb" the embryos. So they only checked on days 1,3, 5 & 6.

In my IVF:
30 retrieved
21 matured
20 fertilized
20 made it to day 3
6 made it to day 5 (out of which 2 were normal)
2 made it to day 6 (both normal)

@Hopeful_mom I am not testing the frozen embryos. They consider it too taxing on the Embryo to wait until day 5, and they have another way of grading the egg, and mine was considered top health, so that is great. I am doing another mini in May, and I will see then if that is enough. At this point, to have 3 frozen embryos would be fantastic. then I have to wait a couple of cycles for the clomid effect to go away, and then I can transfer. SLOOOWWW process.

I hope your darlins are growing well.

@LoveDontCostAThing how is your skin? It sounds more and more like a yeast issue, which will cause swelling, and the rash can be on other parts of the body. Like the PH balance is off and it can affect Abdomen, scalp, other places. Hope you find a solution!

From your numbers i'm gonna assume your day 3-6 cell probably werent the ones to make it. Gotta pray this cycle just goes better then last cycle - praying that it does!!

littledarlins how many eggs did you get in your mini IVF? Not sure what I'm doing next round. We might do a mini ivf cycle. The only good thing about mini stemming is that you dont have to live at the clinic so thats a plus. Yes it sux that this experience has to take soooo long! Its wearing on me to say the least! Its sad to say but it really consumes my thoughts and days.

@Hopeful_mom I actually wouldn't assume that the 6 cells ones didn't make it! If that was the case I think they would have start telling ppl that only 8 cells are good. And they specifically told me that 6-10 cells are good! I kept asking because I thought you need 8 cells.

AFM... from yesterday I have some brown spotting
Similar to what I had after the procedure (sorry for the TMI). I finally put a tampon before lunch today. (First tampon in over 3 months...) anyway, is that a period? Probably the beginning but not really, right? I need to start taking BCP on CD2... so not sure if to count this or not.

Prudence9 you need the tampon to really be full to count it as cycle day one! This is good though this should means that your hcg will hopefully be going down within the week yay!!

@Hopeful_mom so after about an hour or two I took the tampon out. Felt like it's too early for that... I don't have period like flow.

When you got your first period after the m/c, did it start as spotting and then got stronger? Or was it a period like flow and color from the beginning?

Prudence9 hmmmmm ever since i started ivf my AF changed and I started spotting about a day prior to my AF. If memory served me correctly I had one spot sunday night and then I was full force monday morning. It was a pretty short AF and crampy like all the rest. (I did the same as you when i was at work and i thought i was going to be full flow and had a tampon in and it didn't start till the next day or two. Its very annoying how our cycles change through this. Call your RE and ask, i'm sure an extra day or two of bcp could hurt that much, could it?

@Hopeful_mom I got 4 eggs from my mini IVF. I had I think 8 or 9 follicles, 4 eggs, 1 of those fertilized and healthy. This is about right for my age and doing mini. The idea is you really focus on getting one or two healthy embryos per cycle.

Hi,
Had my ultrasound yesterday at 9 weeks, 1 day. So far, so good! Heartbeat of 185. We saw less of a blob this time and more of a forming baby! I have my first appointment with the OB on Monday. The nurse was concerned when she saw my rash and brought in a doctor. They haven't seen anything like it this early in pregnancy. They took me off the crinone and put me on suppositories to see if it is related to crinone. They also switched my pre-natal...in a few days I will switch that. So far I am still a rashy/ itchy mess. I am supposed to call them on Friday to let them know how I am.

Prudence9 i think if AF isn't here already it should be by tomorrow, you're spotting its totally normally. Hoping its not a painful one!

AFM: I did hear that so far I've got 2 blasts 5AA/5BB. Of course I was hoping for more but was happy to hear that they were all still growing so lets hope tomorrow will have some more good news!! From what I gather 3 are in a 1A stage which I believe is a blast stage but not the one that can be frozen yet. Another was at the morula and another was MF - still haven't figured out what that means yet, anyone every hear of that at this stage for grading?

I'm wondering if part of the problem is that my embryos do better in the womb then outside. For example, if I wanted to do a transfer with an embryo that couldn't make it to the necessary stage needed to be frozen, could that embryo make for a viable pregnancy. Some things I've read say that the blastocyst has to get to a later stage to be frozen because an early stage blastocyst won't freeze. Am I losing normal embryos that might be able to thrive if placed in my uterus and just aren't strong enough to freeze...ugh I know its a wild question and even my RE will i'm sure say anything is possible right?

@hopeful_mom -I was feeling nervous that you only had two for grading, but now I am SO HAPPY to hear that you have 6!!! You can breathe a sigh of relief. You deserve this, and I am feeling very positive that there will be some normal. Don't fret if only one or two are normal because that is SO MUCH BETTER THAN ZERO!!!! I am so happy for you. When will you get the results?

@Prudence9 -my periods for the two or three cycles after my chemical were so short and barely there. Well, the one right after the chemical was heavy, but the following two or three were bizarre. I didn't get "back to normal" because I got my bfp. You can ask your dr., but I know when I did a laparoscopy last summer it basically counted as my period because she "cleaned everything out." My thought is that when you had your procedure after the MC, they also "cleaned everything out," leaving you with not much to shed.

@LoveDontCostAThing I think you're right and they cleaned me at the MUA. so I just called the nurse and asked her what to do. I don't want to miss a full month. The dr is out today so she will ask tomorrow. She said that since it's a frozen cycle I can start BCP any day from day 2 to 5. Ahhh.

Have very bad service at the moment but wanted to add that a blood test I believe should be able to clarify if it's ur AF or not, I'm assuming it is. Mine also stopped after a day of pretty moderate bleeding and then like 3 days of nothing I randomly spotted bright red for half a day so it's very odd. I went back to look at my notes.

And thank u ladies!!!! I was literally hands in the air cheering!! I'm super worried as the pessimistic person is saying what happens when it's zero again and then the optimistic side is saying nope I'm getting them all back

Just glad I have another chance, and they say it'll be at least a week before I hear anything. One hurdle down and many more to go...

@Hopeful_mom my spotting was never heavy. But I did put tampon twice. It was also never red. But brown. I think that I will go for another hcg test tomorrow morning. And then see what the dr says.

@Prudence9 dont panic just yet I dont think you're missing anything! Did you have an cramping? When I got AF i did need to take midol all day long...I think you're still in it!!
