READ THIS FIRST: Board Organization/Guidelines

Welcome to December 2017 BMB! If you're new to TB, we're excited to have you! Below you will find information on how the flow of BMBs work, guidelines and helpful links. I've borrowed this from other BMBs.

Some links that you may find helpful:

For the sake of board organization, here are some simple guidelines for posting threads:

DO:
-Introduce yourself in the "Introductions" thread
-Feel free to start one of the weekly posts listed below: if a post is "assigned" but hasn't been started by mid morning, feel free to start it!
-Post your own thread if you have a confirmed loss
-Post a thread that would apply to the entire community and doesn't fall into one of the categories for daily threads listed below (Ex: what to pack in your hospital bag, baby gear, etc)
-Comment, share advice and show support for your fellow bumpies; this is a two-way street, to get support, you must show it as well

DON'T:
-Start a thread asking about symptoms; please post this in the current weekly "symptoms thread"
-Ask the community if you are pregnant, it is against TOU
-Start a thread asking for relationship advice; a professional is better suited for this task
-Post pictures of your pregnancy test, this is also against TOU
-Post a thread that asks a question only applying to yourself unless you suspect you may be going through a MC
-Get bent out of shape if someone calls you out for not following these guidelines; if you expect to be part of a supportive board (which we are), you need to be able to take the time to learn the ins and outs of the board

Daily Threads: (please add the date to the thread title)

Ticker Changes (when your weekly progression changes, you participate in that day. For example, if I will be 10 weeks on Friday, that's the day I participate).

I'm wondering if we could perhaps change the wording on Friday's Why my SO is an a--hole... I have no problem with swearing and I have a major potty mouth in general, but this makes me feel icky. My husband drives me nuts on occasion, but we just don't use words like that in reference to one another. For me, it's a respect thing. I like to say things like, "My husband doesn't have the brain today, because..." so that's a suggestion...

@Marley629 I don't mind! I think it's fine if people what to be in charge of different threads and if they don't get around to posting on any given day, anyone who notices can pick up the slack.

I've only seen "TW" explained as "twat waffle" so I was confused for a while until I figured out it meant trigger warning...

I have to give you ladies kudos for being so thorough and organized. The last time I was using The Bump was nearly 5 years ago, and my how things have grown! Thank you for being so diligent and clear on what is available and when.

Wow yes how different things are from when I had my last baby. Sooo just curious, are these the rules created by the owners/ developers of the Bump app? Or is this just a post by one of the users of how they would like to see the board structured? @BumpAdmin

@heatherlarry14 I'm not an admin... I happened to see that the Dec 2017 board was open one day and there hadn't been any posts yet, so I got this guidelines thread and the introductions thread going to start. This thread was borrowed from other month boards.

I didn't want to start it's own thread, so I figured this was the best place to ask this question.

Do we want to do a monthly siggy challenge? If so, we can set up a thread for people to suggest topics and vote on their favorite.

Ladies I need some help. I wasn't sure where to ask, so I asked here since it was mentioned in the originally post. I can't figure out this whole signature thing! I found the tickers, and I found where you can edit your signature but every time I try to paste a code in there (HTML or non HTML) all it shows is the code not the cute little ticker. PLEASE HELP!

So I know my ticker is from DD (I'm not 100 and some odd weeks pregnant

...) I see how to create a ticker, but who knows how to delete/stop an old one from always showing when I post? I may be totally missing it.

@jljeanblanc click the little head silhouette on the right top ish part of the page. Click signature settings. Deleted the old ticker. Click the HTML button. Paste the new ticker code. Hit save. Done!

Hey! I don't see an item for "FTM questions for STM+"... There is a thread from 4/13, but it is a bit stale. Ok if I start a new one with today's date, or should I bump the 4/13 one? I have a BURNING QUESTION, ha!
